Houston, British Columbia Early Morning Terror On Highway 16

Date: August 8, 1998 Time: 2:00 a.m.

It was 2:00 a.m. and I was headed East on the Yellowhead Highway, Hwy 16. I was just a few miles outside of Houston. I had just left the little town of Smithers and I was looking for the Fair Grounds that I had thought they had there to stay overnight with 5 horses that I had brought out of Alaska. I had traveled this highway lots of times and usually stayed in Vanderhoof or Quesnel but the road had been bad coming down the Cassiar Hwy and had slowed me down. My traveling companions besides the 5 equines consisted of my SharPei dog (CharChar) and 1 cat (Sally). It was my traveling companions that alerted me to something unusual in the beginning. Char started howling in a strange way and was looking out the rear window. I could see a strange white glow on her when I turned around. At first this registered as light coming off my front running lights on the horse trailer, the problem being they are orange, not white. Still did not register with me that there was anything unusual yet. Then Sally, the cat, started making strange noises I never had heard before and she actually jumped up on the seat in front with me then jumped back to the back and went under the seat. Her hackles were up at the time.

Meanwhile, Char is running from the back rear window to me and whining and her hackles are up. I was at this point starting to get spooked. I had slowed down considerably looking for the Fair Grounds and had been leaning forward on the steering wheel (there was some ground fog in the valleys there too). It was at this time that I realized the truck was glowing with a white light and the ground around me also was. It was like I was in a big spotlight with one of those new blue-white headlights they have out now.

I leaned forward and looked up and realized that there was something over me. It was as larger than a large full moon in size in the sky and was a glowing green color with this large white light in the middle. Like a stupid idiot I really slowed down and rolled my window down and listened.

I heard no engines. At this point I am trying to justify this with a meteor, crashing plane, helicopter, anything but imagining that I could be the perfect "UFO medical experiment on wheels, 5 equine,1 feline,1 canine and 1 human." This my daughter later reminded me of and we had a good laugh, however I failed to see the humor in it at the time it was happening. I don't think I directly thought of this however I know it had to be in my mind.

The object suddenly removed the light from me and then sped forward. I was at this point going up a hill and it appeared to be going to the top of the hill to land. I actually saw 3 points of light that were red or orange on the edge. I thought they might have been engine exhaust or after burners. It was a little unclear with the fog I was going in and out of. This was not a heavy fog, more like a mist. It hesitated at the crest of the hill then suddenly made a sharp turn and headed due North from me. It was then I realized that I had come to a complete stop in the Highway. Myself and Char were just staring at this thing. I can't tell you what was running through her mind but I can tell you I was now scared.

It went through this mist and went right up and over a small mountain there. I could see the glow of light from beyond the mountain like it had landed. I got going again quite quickly and stopped in the next town to call my husband. He is in the USAF and while I am relating all this to him from a pay phone, it was at this time I realized that the entire Convenience Store was now quiet.

Everyone in there was listening to me! One of the customers in there told me that there had been sightings in the area all summer! I asked if there was a RCMP close at hand because I still thought that maybe I should report it.

The clerk in the store did not think the office would be open at this time so I just determined I would call later. There were 2 logging truck drivers there who said that I could park between them if I was still scared since they would be there until 6:00 when the mill opened. This is exactly what I did.

The next morning I started off again headed for Arlington,Washington. Somewhere before Prince George I spied a RCMP officer on the side of the road running radar and it was a woman. I thought this would be the chance to talk to someone so I parked and approached her vehicle. I had made sure that I had picked up one of my Business Cards first.(I run a horse transport business so I do a lot of traveling at night. It is easier on the horses especially in the Summer. I also had lived 17 years in Alaska so I knew this Hwy and this was a first for me on it.)

When I approached the officer, the first thing I said was here is my business card, and that I did not do drugs nor rarely drank and certainly had been doing neither the previous night. She listened to my story then handed the card back to me and kind of chuckled. Without saying anything to me she got on the radio back to Houston, BC, Canada and told them I would be calling in a report. I interrupted her to ask if it would be a problem if I called once I got to a land line in Washington and she said yes. Well this went better than I had expected. I really thought that she might have been calling out the "paddy wagon" with the straight jackets for me. It was at this time after speaking on the radio she got out of the car and looked at me straight on. She then proceeded to tell me she believed me and did not think that I was a "NUT". She told me that 2 RCMP constables had also been seeing strange things in broad daylight just a few days prior to my sighting.

I continued on my journey feeling much better knowing others had seen what I had seen. When I got to Arlington, Washington at a motel I called the desk at the RCMP's at Houston and gave them a full report.

Visitations By Little People: The Story Continues.

The story is real but the names in this report below are fictitious for obvious reasons.

Connie Driver of the vehicle who had the amazing encounter in Houston, British Columbia.

I telephoned the witness as I had a number of questions I wanted to ask her. She lives with her husband on their ranch in North Carolina. The lady was such a pleasant person to talk with, also owns her own business and has degrees in anthropology and archaeology from the University of Houston, Texas. As far as I am concerned she is a very credible witness who gave a number of details in her report that only residents in my area would know about.

As we chatted about what took place that early morning, she went on to tell me about some other frightening experiences which had followed her throughout her life. The sad part to the story is that not only is she being affected, but members of her family and now her young grandchild as well. When I hear about children being involved with such events it saddens me. It is bad enough for adults to deal with the strange happenings, but to know that children are having visitations, etc.. it really does break my heart.

The lady went on to say that her daughter was joking with her about her being a rolling medical experiment on wheels, as she was carrying her pets, horses and of course herself. When her daughter said this, Connie didn't find it very amusing due to what has, and still is, going on in her family.

Connie told me she has had some other troubling times. Her son had an experience and Connie as well. Connie said she called them her little people. She told me she had many dreams, not so much vivid ones, but dreams. But she was very upset when her son, then three years old when all of them were living in Alaska. It got so bad that she took her son to a psychologist thinking a three year old couldn't make up such a story if something wasn't taking place. Connie not knowing at the time when she made the appointment for her son that the psychologist was a child specialist. The psychologist said to her that her son kept talking about this "thing" over and over while they were in her office.

The lady psychologist told Connie you would not believe how many children come through her office telling a similar story, of these unusual experiences. Connie mentioned to the doctor that even when she was a child, and now an adult she still has her dreams about her visitors or little people. Connie told me that her husband doesn't even want to hear about any of the experiences anymore, mainly due to not being able to do anything about them ( a feeling of helplessness). But it wasn't until the summer of 1987 when Connie and all of her children went to Barnes and Noble book store in Austin Texas to pick up a book she was interested in reading. While looking around the book store, her young son asked his mother if he could go and look at some of the children's books. Connie said yes, but told him that he was not to wander off and stay where she was able to keep him in her sight. As the youngster made his way to the children's book section he went around a corner, or a different book section which displayed other book topics. All of a sudden all of the shoppers in the book store could hear a young child yell out, "here's my monster Mom"

Connie's son came running back to her with a book in his hand, again yelling out, "here's my monster Mom". What the little boy was holding in his hands was a copy of Mr. Whitley Strieber's book, Communion. On the front cover of the book was this young boys monster, a being with large dark almond shape eyes. Connie told me after her son gave out the loud yell you could have heard a pin drop in the book store as everyone was looking in their direction. Connie took the book from her son, went through the checkout and paid for the copy. She wanted to have an idea of what was frightening her child. It wasn't until she got home and later that evening when laying in bed reading a book she had already started, did she realize the book in her hands was another one by Whitley Strieber. She had not put two and two together and was rather surprised.

Connie went on to say that now her six year old granddaughter is going through the same things as her son had. Judy tells her Mother and Grandmother that there are little old men who visit me in the night. More information will be coming on how the little girl is doing.

Connie told me when she was a young girl she was terrified of the dark and insisted on having the lights on when she was sleeping, and she told me it is still like this today. Also she doesn't sleep very well.

Connie also discussed some other bizarre things that happened to her over the years of these visitations. One time while still living in Alaska she had a frightening nightmare, woke up the next morning with a burn mark on her tailbone. This burned circle on her back stayed with her for approximately two weeks and she did seek medical help over it. She also told me that she has had bad nose bleeds since she was a child, and the same with her son. On one of her trips this last year something extraordinary took place. She was having excruciating headaches and had nightmares before she had left home, matter of fact she woke up the night before she left on her trip and saw beings standing in the doorway. Her nose bleeds became very severe and her husband said we are going to have to take you in to see a doctor when you come back off the road trip.

Connie at this time was transporting horses and was calling her husband on the telephone. On one call she made to her husband at a stop over at a motel, Connie said that her nose was very stuffed up, bad pain above her eye and was taking aspirin. She was continually blowing her nose and getting more blood from her nostril the more she blew until her left nostril was completely stuffed up and no air could pass through it. Finally still trying to clear her sinuses she blew into a tissue a couple more times when something broke free. To her surprise in her tissue was a piece of material approx: one half inch long, one quarter inch wide and had the strangest little nodules on the material. Connie said the debris felt like bone and was pinkish in color. Seeing she was frightened, on her own and upset, she flushed the material down the toilet at the motel. Ever since that day she discarded this bit of material, she has had no more problems.

A sad part to this story is that Connie had to help with her grandmother. At the time the doctors thought her grandmother was mentally ill and wanted to have her committed. This was due to her seeing things at her home during the nights. She also walked around with a flashlight all night long Connie told me. As we know with the abduction experience it seems to run through the families, sometimes starting with the grandparents, to their children and on and on it can go. So was Connie's grandmother having visitations ? Even after Connie's grandmother had passed away and the house was bought by another family member, strange happenings still go on to this day in that home.

Halifax, Nova Scotia A Disc Shaped Craft With Blue Lights

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: August 1998 Time: N/A

HBCC UFO Research Note: I have replied to the witness to see if I can get the date and time of this sighting, or at least a rough idea when this took place. I believe I have a couple of reports of something similar happening over Nova Scotia hospitals or nursing homes.

Location of Sighting: Hovering over a hospital in Halifax Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Disc shaped.

Full Description of event/sighting: This sighting happened about 8 years ago, and I am now 16. Do not push this aside as just a false tale, because I speak nothing but the truth.

I remember it just like it was yesterday. It was a dark, but clear night. I was sitting up getting my Asthma medication because I couldn't sleep, I had a hard time falling asleep. As my medication was almost finished, I looked over to my left and there was a disc shaped craft with blue lights around the perimeter. It was hovering over the VG, and I could tell it wasn't a plane or helicopter, merely because it didn't make any sounds or anything.

I called my nurse "(name removed)", and she rushed in and I told her what I seen. She looked over to see what she could find, "There's nothing there," she replied.

Since that day, I Have always been amazed by space, aliens, and pretty much everything to do with UFOs and the like. Take into account that I speak nothing but the truth, and I know this was not a dream, and I was not hallucinating. I wasn't that sick.

Additional Information:

I am searching in my mind, but the date that stands out the most was August 7th, but I don't think that was it. It was in August, I believe, because it was the summer time. And the name of the hospital I was staying in was the IWK hospital, and the hospital that I seen the disc hovering above was the Victoria General hospital. Any other stories reporting this incident would be quite helpful. It was of the year 1998. There are a few other things that I have seen in the sky that I could tell you about, if you'd like. :) I really enjoy talking about UFOs and Aliens

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Trout Creek, Ontario Huge Glowing Object On The Property

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: August 1998. Time: 2:00 - 2:30 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: It was taller and wider than the house, giant with orange lights, not glowing but flickering which may of been all the trees in front of it from the leaves. It seemed either round or slightly oval but it being black outside and it being in the bush where I lived I could not make out the dimensions nor the actual shape.

Weather Conditions: Clear, warm.

Description: A friend called for me to pick them up in North Bay. I lived in the bush just west of Trout Creek. I went directly to my truck and once outside rather fast, as wild animals roam at night in the bush where I lived. I settled my baby into the car seat from us both entering from the drivers side. As I put the key in the ignition, my eyes caught a huge glow of orange from the bush on the northwest corner of the property about 200 yard from where I sat. My first reaction was a fire, but no smoke, no smell, no spreading, no sparks etc.

It was too late to be the sun going down or coming up and I checked the land survey since and the sun would never be in that position rising nor at 2:30 am. All this raced through my head in seconds. It didn't seem to move but it may of been hovering. Though there is a small clearing about where it was, I could not go out and look, but I did think about driving up the little back road in front of me, but I was pressed for time and figured since the forest isn't on fire I will check when I come back.

TV/Radio: No.

Thank you to UFOINFO for this report. http://www.ufoinfo.com/

Additional Information by HBCC UFO Research

My property is in a valley, slight uphill to sight. In daylight you can only see the tops of the immediate trees beyond, then sky. So that is how I know I was that close as it was hiding in the trees. What puzzles me is, was it on the dirt road there or partly in the forest as it seemed to fill the entire space. The road is about 60 feet side in only that spot. It certainly didn't fit down the dirt road. To get there it would have came from above. A tractor can fit down the logging road. So as I first viewed it, it didn't seem so large. But in scouring the width for fire, spread and staring more of it began to appear. That is when I realized it was huge, guessing 120 to 150 feet in width and 60 to 70 feet high.

It was round, but the bottom wasn't visible and it sort of seem to go into the forest floor, or come down the slope, but I never saw a rounded bottom when it was on the ground and my best guess is it was. The sections I saw looked like a very, very hot piece of burning coal, like in a fire-pit when you almost can't stand near it, and it's so hot there is no smoke or flame, breathing or beating like a heart pulsing, cooking. Yet it didn't cast any light whatsoever. I don't recall a breeze, so any movement which I thought my be the tree branched or leaves is wrong. That thing had life which is when I decided, OK, I'm going to go now. I hesitated starting the truck, as I somehow knew that thing would hear it and know I was there. I stared at it and it stared at me. It did move closer so I knew if it was a UFO. It knew i was there. I started the truck while slamming it in drive and peeled out the driveway.

The side road to the next side road, both about a km in length are hilly and mine curved. Believe me, I kept looking in the rear and side mirrors until I told myself to get a grip. I almost went off the road and I had the kid to think of. Once on highway 522, I again drove all over the road looking, but had to stop and concentrate on driving. I fully expected it to drop down in front of me like out of a movie. I had a feeling it may have been going along side me. I have never watched Star Wars etc., only Star Trek and that was way back. So, it's pitch black and a 5 minute drive to town. I feel better at this time and pull onto highway 11 north, at that time it's a 2 lane highway and 60km limit for about a km. Now I feel braver and keep looking to my left up in the sky, when all of a sudden I see it again, down real low in the trees about a km from the road in a bushy section. That thing knows where to go and how to hide. It then moves upwards slightly in a second and then this truck fly's by me. I see it up high now and look for the truckers brakes. How did he not see that thing! I then turn my eyes back to the trees when another vehicle startles me. Suddenly I realize it's daylight and there is lots of traffic.

I again look to the left and about 10 km away over the hills I see it heading northwest again and the top half fully visible. You know, when that first truck went by me it was night. Why did I not see headlights coming ? And no lights from the truck when I looked back in the side mirror ? In an instant it was daylight after the second truck whooshed by me. I don't want people to know that as they won't come forward for fear of being laughed at. I left my house within 5 minutes of his call. I don't think I lingered in the driveway long when I realized it was a UFO, but I really didn't get to North Bay until after 5:00am, 3 hours when it should of been 30 min or so.

I don't know how to paragraph this computer, so about a year later my friend was speaking to a man then about 47, living there for a number of years and makes a crack about my seeing things. Then my friend turned away and this person looks directly at me and says "this area is well known for sightings without even knowing what I saw at all ".

Then a year later while driving down highway 522 in the late afternoon, I'm lying down in the back of the truck as I let the kid and another girl about 16 sit in the seats. I notice a tiny bright dot in the sky. A star so I thought, but then realize there are no others, when I see it suddenly again up high along side the truck.

I think it's following us, I will wait until we turn north and I will see if it follows, yes it does. I then say to the 16 year old, look up there in the sky. She does, see anything ? She is quiet, yes and I think it's following us. This is without me saying anything to prompt her to say that. Then it suddenly disappeared.

The summer after that there was a major meteor sighting from South River to Sunridge so they called it. It made the local newspaper. My friend whom I lived with and ridiculed my sightings was cooking a burger in the kitchen late one evening. The kitchen has windows and a sliding door all down one side. He runs up to my room all freaked and says, "did you see that" "what I say ?" How could you not ?" "what I say" It was so bright, how could you miss it. I should of seen it from my position as I was sitting up in bed reading. He tears back down the stairs and outside he goes. Apparently a large bright object just fell out of the sky and he says it landed right out front. The area he pointed to was about 30 feet from the door so he had a good view.

I watched him search for debris for a week, I looked too when he didn't know. I wasn't about to show him how interested I was, as he was an ass to me about mine. He comes to me, you know he says, I've looked everywhere and I can't see anything. Ii can't figure it out. Yes, I even checked the hill (different hill). He was dumbfounded, this is a guy who has 150 percent night vision and can track a mouse crossing the road. He knew every inch of the property, so, he says. You know that time you saw that thing., yes, I really did look everywhere for you, even alot further from where you say and you know, I never did see anything, any sign of anything.

He was through, no burns etc. even on the trees and you know, he says I did call you right back, right away that night to make sure you were coming and you didn't answer the phone. I told you, I left right away. He never ridiculed me again and we never mentioned either sighting again. That thing is like a wolf in the forest. It knows how to maneuvers to stay hidden. Lastly, he says shortly before his "meteor" thing, I think Reg ( a man who owns a gravel pit on the other side of the road beyond a heavy dense forest) is doing something over there at night, why ? I keep seeing lights at night. Did you go look, no. I started to and swear I saw the odd glint of amber in the or through the forest from my bedroom window twice that summer. Bet he would of checked had he had the meteor experience prior to this, it made him think! I just don't know what happens to the bottom of that machine when it touches down. Is the amber coal a shield thing, though it appears round. Is it a ball or disc, what is the width. Even in the sky it appears just like the moon or sun would look, but we know they are round ? Why is this thing creeping around ?

Thunder Bay, Ontario A Large Hovering Object With Pinkish Lights

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: Summer of 1998 Time: Approx: 4:30 a.m.

Message: In 1998 (Thunder Bay, Ontario), I witnessed something I could not explain.

Early one summer morning, I was helping my mother deliver her mailbox flyers (by car) along Broadway Avenue about 4:30 am. As we pulled off onto Highland Court, to my right there was a row of pine trees behind the houses. Directly behind this row of pine trees, was a long driveway and large front yard (used a garden). Something caught my eye.

Above the trees, through light fog, was a rather large object with pinkish lights illuminating through the mist. It was slowly hovering upwards and silently above the tops of the trees. As passenger, I had my window rolled down to place flyers into mail boxes and I heard nothing. Shocked, I glanced over at my mother to say, "What was that", and when I looked back...it was gone.

This was a residential area and I could not explain what I had just seen. I never reported this to anyone, for fear I would sound crazy. But my mother knew by my reaction, that I had obviously seen something that spooked me. My mother quit her route shortly after.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Big Hawk Lake - North Of Canarvon, Ontario Low Flying Bright Light

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: April 1998 Time: 8:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Ball of Light.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was crossing from the marina to my cabin in a boat with my girlfriend when a very bright white light came over the trees about 1/2 a km ahead of us. It looked like a single car headlight on high beam and I would estimate that it was about 5-10 feet in diameter and it was traveling from left to right across our field of vision. It was about 30 feet above the tree tops and as it moved out over the lake we noticed that it was speeding up and then slowing down, speeding up and then slowing down, over and over again. It traveled in a straight line and did not appear to change altitude. I sped up the boat and we watched it move down the lake from behind it. I only have a 25 horsepower outboard motor and with all the supplies for the weekend and two people onboard I couldn't keep up to it. It crossed the 4 km lake in about 30 seconds and moved out over the trees at the other end.

Thank you to the eyewitness for the report.

Shawville, Quebec A Series Of Lights Amber In Color

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: 1998 Time: Evening.

Hi, I came across a website with your e-mail address and thought it was very interesting. I too have seen a few things that I can't explain.

This happened many years ago, in 1998

I was picking up my teenage daughter at night school when I was looking for the Halley's comet to my right. Couldn't see anything so I turned my head to my left and saw a series of lights. All amber with a shape of oval (object must have been oval) and a red light to it's top left. No lights where flashing. It was just hovering there over the Town of Shawville, Quebec.

I got out of the truck thinking I would hear some kind of noise, but there was none. When my daughter came out of the school, I asked her what was it, to see if she was seeing the same thing as me, she started to get scared. She was seeing the same thing too.

We called a teacher outside to come see just in case we where wrong. His explanation was "it must be a farm". We drove away feeling foolish. But the more we thought about it, the more we realized that there was no farm in that direction. And each night after that, we looked and there was no lights there anymore.

Then on the same week. It might even have been the next night, I don't remember. I was still looking for Halley's comet.

Anyhow, I saw this bright "little" light in the sky far, far away that was traveling quite fast. I stopped to stare at it because I noticed there was another same light traveling quite fast as well heading right towards the other one. I thought I was going to see an accident in the sky. To my surprise, both lights stopped side by side each other, lingered for what seemed like ten seconds, one shot up and away from the other. And the other sped forward. Now these lights traveled way too fast to be anything that I could understand.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Nelson B.C (Along The Kootenay River) A Large Tubular Craft With Lights

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: Approximately ten years ago. (March 1997) (?) Time: About 6:10 a.m.

Message: Hello! I just found your site while browsing and thought I'd like to relate my UFO experience of approximately ten years ago. Now retired, I once worked for the city of Nelson B.C. I left for work one morning at my usual time of about 6:10 am. I believe it was early spring - probably March. I had to drive about four miles west of town, pick up my work mate and then the two of us would continue to our work site, just a couple miles west of town which is downstream on the Kootenay river. This morning was cool and the narrow valley we live in and at that time, can have patches of fog hanging above the river here and there. The road to my workmates home climbs up in the valley and I can get a view down towards the river. As I'm travelling along, I looked toward the river and noticed what looked to me to be a large tubular balloon (like a sausage) with three large lights along its side. Each light slowly blinking a different colour. Although I looked down toward it, it seemed to be floating along, perhaps 100 feet above the river, in a horizontal direction downstream. Suddenly it disappeared as it entered into a patch of fog. I picked up my buddy, and mentioned it to him on our way to work. My best guess as to its size would be possibly five feet thick and twenty feet long - a ratio of 1:4. Two mornings later, he said that he also had seen it, the evening before. We couldn't figure it out, so soon forgot about it. I must appologize, as this is not the correct module to be typing this account. Sorry for the inconvenience! The name of the area is called Taghum and is popular for UFOs due to a series of hydro electric generating stations nearby. Sincerely.

Additional Information:

In reply to your queries:

1. Distance from object observed approximately 1/4 mile.

2. Sound - None, as I was in the vehicle and observed it through the glass while driving.

3. Lights colour - All three were different and although I can't be certain anymore I think one was red, another blue and the third green.

4. Object colour - Metallic, but I'm sure not bright chrome, but rather a satin metallic. Perhaps as a result of low light conditions, I can't be sure.

5. Area geography etc. - Narrow valley with terrace benches either side. Kootenay River flows through bottom. Dotted homesites and small farm holdings at various elevations of either side. Main highway (3A) through as well as other connecting side roads throughout. Quite developed - not an isolated wilderness.

6. Hydro electric - There are several hydro electric generation stations located along the short stretch of Kootenay river nearby and speculation regarding recurring sightings in the past has implicated the power generators, however I merely mentioned it for your information, and have no facts with regard to this.

I sincerely hope that this information might be of some benefit to you!

Thank you to the witness for their interesting report.

Aroostook, New Brunswick A Reddish-Orangish Circle

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: Halloween Eve of 1998 Time: 10:30 p.m.

I was at a small bar out in the woods for a costume party. A group of four of us were out on the porch smoking, two men and two women. The two women (myself and the other woman) I guess were compelled to look up to the sky while the men continued talking. We both saw a reddish-orangish circle, the size of the full Moon or maybe slightly bigger, it was stationary in the sky, and eventually blinked out. No falling like a meteorite or anything like that.

No sound either. It appeared to be very close and not way up in the sky. I should also add that this sighting took place extremely close to the other one from 1997, about 1/4 mile distance if that. Both were over and near the same river and the same hydro-electric dam. I don't know why but I've always connected both of the sightings to that river and that dam which are part of the Tobique First Nations Indian Reserve.

The 1998 sighting was later confirmed by my aunt, a local high school teacher, whose dog was outside tied up and barking, She went out to see her dog and caught a look at the red thing in the sky, she was a kilometer or so away from where I was but viewed it at the same time, 10:30 pm and described it the same.

Bowser, British Columbia Night Turns To Day - Brilliant Light

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: January 1998 Time: Midnight

Number of witnesses: 2

Full Description of event/sighting: It was pitch black that night, suddenly the sky seemed to turn to daylight but through green sunglasses. Our power went out and then all of a sudden the sky started to flash red and blue and green, meanwhile the sky was still green. I could see very clearly outside, although I was scared; I went outside to check it out because my father is a paraplegic and I was the only one that was able to go outside. When I looked up into the sky, I couldn't see anything but the flashing lights, after about 2 minutes{it was freezing and snowing out} I finally came inside and about 10 minutes later it all stopped. It never happened again but it will stay with me forever.

Additional Information:

Sorry about the confusion, I meant to say as though I was looking through green sunglasses. I wasn't actually wearing green sunglasses. It looked like daylight but as though you were looking through a pair of green sunglasses. Thank you for getting back to me and not just sloughing me off as if I were some sort of nutbar.

Edmonton, Alberta Unusual Symbols During The Northern Lights

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: 1998 Time: Evening

Message: Hello, Something I saw a number of years ago still defies explanation and I thought I would bring it to your attention with the hopes of you being able to shed some light on the subject.

My experience deals with some strange northern lights viewed from within the city limits of Edmonton Alberta in the year 1998. I know it's a long time ago, but I only recently gained access to the internet.

I was with three friends aged 25-30, we had been playing soccer during the day. At sunset we decided to retreat to a little park a few km's away to kick back and drink a few beers. When we finally picked up some beer and got to the park, it was dark.

We were on our first beers when I looked up and noticed a band of turquoise northern lights directly above us. We all stopped and stared up at the display. The band (or line) of lights was continually shimmering as northern lights do, but then something bizarre started to happen. The band of northern lights started to form shapes. (I should mention that I have witnessed the northern lights many, many times through out the years and I have never seen them displayed in such a structured or deliberate way.)

I clearly remember two shapes in particular. The first was a spiral pattern similar to a snail's shell, the second and more alarming shape was that of a bird. It was the type of bird you see in western Indian cultures. The bird was completely symmetrical, except for the head that was facing sideways as to display the beak. It looked similar to the phoenix you see on the hoods of old trans-ams & firebirds. The bird shape stayed intact for at least 3 minutes before my friends and I decided that this was a bit freaky and that it was time to leave. (in hindsight I wish that I would have stayed for the whole night!)

Anyway, that's what happened & and that's what I (we) saw. I know it doesn't classify as a UFO but it was strange, a bit disturbing and definitely real!

Have you ever heard of someone who has had similar experiences?

Thank you for your time.

Thank you to the witness for the interesting report.

Comox, British Columbia Something Falling From The Sky

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: 1998 Time: 12:00 p.m.

I have always been interested by the UFO phenomena. This is a simple sighting that happened when I was in grade 5 Attending Brooklyn Elementary school in 1998. I am almost 16 and currently in grade 10 but I still remember it. All I really recall I my Friend (B) was walking around the school yard with me and as we were about to go around the side of the school I we noticed what I called a "burning penny"

That seemed to be falling from the sky. We didn't really understand what we were looking at but new we had to tell someone so after about 15 seconds of looking at it, we ran up to the playground supervisor who we new and said "look at that!" pointing to the place in the sky were it was but it was gone. After that we both new what we had seen and tried to explain it by saying maybe it was a meteor or a piece of space dibrey or even a mirage on a hot day. Things just didn't add up. As I recall, I was just starting to get into UFO's and other mysterious things at that time but that really jump started my curiosity on the subject.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Chatham, Ontario A Huge "V" Shaped UFO

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: Winter of 1997 Time: Evening

Message: One clear very cold night in the winter of 1997 I saw a huge "V" shaped UFO. It was just like the many others describe, huge, black, silent, low, dim orangish lights, seemed to defy gravity.

What I am really interested in is an explanation or even a theory as to what I saw. I would love for someone to email me with any information on this.

Has anyone photographed one of these things, if so can I see it. It is frustrating because I know what I saw was real, yet information is hard to get. Many others have reported seeing similar objects. Given its size surely it cannot go undetected.

Please email me with any info.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Whistler, British Columbia Triangular Formation Of 20-30 Objects

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: November 14, 1997 Time: Approximately 9:20 p.m.

Number of witnesses: Lots, 2 in our car but other friends saw it. Number of objects: It looked like a triangular shape of 20/30 shooting stars. The first one being the brightest. Shape of objects: Triangle, no craft scene. Weather Conditions: Clear night.

Description: on Friday November 14th, a friend and I were driving down the highway in Whistler, B.C. (Highway 99--Sea to Sky) and saw what looked like roman candles being sent off on the side of the mountain.

When these objects kept on coming and where very straight in their direction, we pulled over the car and stared in disbelief as this majestic sight was obviously not from this world. It was definitely unidentified, it was certainly flying, and it was an object, or what looked like a synchronized cluster of shooting stars.

The object was flying up Howe Sound, heading North East as it was flying up from the Vancouver area and it was flying so low that I thought that it was going to hit Wedge Mountain as it flew over top. The sight was amazing and incredibly silent.

In Whistler, we have a yearly tradition that's called a "Praise Ullr" party, we all get together for an outdoor bonfire and pray to the snow gods to have a good snow year on the mountain. The sighting occurred on that night.

TV/Radio: Tried to Contact CNN and others, was reported locally.

Near Musquodoboit Harbour, Nova Scotia Two Elongated Box Shaped Objects

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: October 24, 1997 Time: 315:00 hrs Atlantic Daylight Savings Time.

Location of Sighting: near Musquodoboit Harbour, Nova Scotia. Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 ? Shape of objects: Two elongated box shaped objects with something that was connecting them looking like the letter H.

Full Description of event/sighting: It was on a mild afternoon of Friday, October 24, 1997 at about 15:00 hours. Atlantic Daylight Savings Time (19:00 hours G.M.T.) when suddenly something caught my eye, right over the right to centre of paved highway on Route #357, just over the tree line gliding silently, making no audible noise. It was "not" an airplane, and Halifax International Airport is not a long way away, estimated to be about 30 kilometres away, as the crow flies, from where I was on this afternoon.

Prior to the sighting, the afternoon started out as any other normal day. I decided to take my son who had just turned four, only a month prior to this, and he wanted me to take him to the little park near the arena in Musquodoboit Harbour, where there are swings, teeter totters, monkey bars and slides. We spent about a half hour at the park, where he had a great time on the swings and slides. After we left the park, at about 2:30 p.m., we set out to drive North on Route #357 to get some water at a fresh spring that percolates from the underground fed spring, and has a generous amount of fresh water supply that is located about 12 kilometres north of Musquodoboit Harbour. On our way there, we stopped next to a large Stillwater along the Musquodoboit River, and I showed my son how to skip flat rocks over water. He attempted to try, but because of his age, he did not do too well that day, but gave it a great effort in trying. He was having fun, and as long as he was having fun, so was I. I remember this day clearly, as this day is the same day as my mother's birthday, but we were going to go down and see her the next day, as this was on a Friday.

After leaving the Stillwater where the Musquodoboit River runs right along side the paved road, we continued driving north where the community sort of stops and the houses built thin out, and there is the odd cottage that was built along this highway. There are many side roads to wood lots and lakes, and this area has many fresh water lakes peppered all along the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia.

Approximately, 8 ½ kilometres from where Route #357 starts north from the intersection of Highway 7 in Musquodoboit Harbour, something caught my eye moving very slowly across the tree line ahead. I quickly pulled over to the shoulder of the road, and got out to get a better look. What I seen did not make sense!

This was no airplane. I never saw anything quite like it. It was box shaped, long and tapered on the front and there was another one, right beside it. Between the two box shaped crafts, there was a tunnel like thing joining the two long fuselages; and from my vantage point, it looked like the letter "H". I would say that the altitude of this thing was no more than two hundred feet high, and only about 300 feet north of where I stood, slowly moving in an easterly direction. The mid section of this fuselage had these ribbons like things hanging down from it. I had my 4 year old son with me and I started getting a bit nervous, as I was not sure what I was seeing and I feared for his safety. I told him to stay seated and after watching this thing for about 40 seconds to perhaps a minute at the longest, it disappeared out of site blocked out by the tree line.

To this day, I don't know what it is that I seen. It was large, based on the surroundings, and width of highway, and with my working background in Land Surveying and often using triangulation to determine approximate distances, I would estimate the length of this craft to be about 180 to 200 ft long and between 40 to 50 ft between the two fuselages. There were no wings that I could see, and the sky had scattered clouds and sunshine. I seem to recall what appeared to be a greenish mist around this thing before it disappeared from the tree line. It made no noise, and glided slowly, guesstimate at about 5 knots more or less. I recall getting back in the truck and driving up the road a bit further where there was a turn in the road to see if I could get another glimpse of this thing, but I could not find it any longer. I recall looking to the Northwest and seeing what appeared to be a Dash 8 plane going in a NW direction toward Halifax International Airport which was not too far away. I know that my mind could certainly make out the planes that I am familiar with that fly in and out of Halifax Airport. What I seen a few minutes previously, was not an airplane. It was not a helicopter, and had no wings or propeller blades that I could see, and it was silent, so what was propelling it.

When I got home, I told my wife about it and told some of my friends, but I did not call any authorities and did not tell too many people about it, outside of my immediate family and friends. When telling my sister in-law about it a few days later after I saw this thing, she mentioned that a number of people reported seeing strange lights in the sky further down the Eastern Shore during the night time hours that same week, and apparently it went on for a few days. There were I believe some military (navy) exercises for NATO forces doing beach landings that same year, but do not remember if it was during the same time I had my sighting or not.

It was years later when I went into the Casebooks form, another member there urged me to post my sighting and tell others about it. I guess that I waited for almost 8 years before telling others about it, as I feared ridicule and did not want the media to come hounding me, as the only thing that I have, is the sighting etched in my memory and can not show any other supportive evidence to collaborate my story. It basically amounts to my word and if others want to choose to believe or disbelieve it. But I know what I saw, and no one can ever change my mind; it was something flying in the air that I have never seen before or since. In doing some online investigations on looking for others who have seen similar craft, there are possibly sightings in Ireland and another in Quebec, Canada. One thing that I would not be able to answer, was it an earth based craft, or something from outer space. I don't think that I could ever answer that question, but I do know, it was not a standard type aircraft that normally flies in our skies, and I have never seen anything like it before that day, or since that day.

If there are other readers who may have seen similar craft, please get in touch with me by messaging, Easternbluestar on http://aliennation2.conforums.com/index.cgi

Respectfully submitted.

Thank you to the witness for the excellent written report.

Aroostook, New Brunswick A Orange-Reddish Circular Object

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: July 1997 Time: 10:30 p.m.

My friend and I were out on her porch on a Saturday night in July. We were stoned on pot, and outside having a cigarette and talking. A large, orange-reddish circular object, the size and brilliance of the moon, had been just above the tree-line behind her house and in plain view for most of the time we were talking. What's amazing, is neither of us thought it was out of the ordinary that it be there hanging and "observing" us, until moments later, right before it sunk below the tree line.

We both looked at each other like "hey....that's not supposed to be there!"....why it never occurred to us before, and why it suddenly occurred to us at the same time that it was not natural or normal, I have no idea. No sound, shaped like the full Moon, about the same size as the full Moon. Its worth mentioning that it appeared to be very close and not too far up in the sky.

Over The Ottawa River Ontario A Huge Round Mottled Orange Ball

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: March 1997 Time: 2:00 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Scott Street at Parkdale over the Ottawa river. Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Huge round mottled orange ball.

Full Description of event/sighting: Heading west on Slater I saw it in the distance. I continued to Scott and Parkdale and walked across railway tracks for a better look. I saw two police officers beside their squad car. They were staring and they did not respond to my question, of what the heck is that object. The orange ball was not there when I turned back, very spooky. My friend phoned the radio station the next day, but got no follow up. We still talk about how insignificant it made us feel. It was that awe inspiring, alas I may have the date wrong.

Orleans, Ontario Close Encounter And Missing Time

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: February 4, 1997 Time: 7:15 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 6 Number of objects: 1? Shape of objects: Triangular & round.

Full Description of event/sighting: It was a very cold day in February when my mother and I walked out of the Chiro's office and headed to the Giant Tiger across St-Joseph Blvd. to get a few items. It was about 6:45 p.m. at the time we entered the store. It only took us a maximum of 12 minutes in the store and so I figure it must have been around 7:00 p.m. the latest. We crossed the street again to head back home when I noticed an amber coloured oval object moving over the bank. I pointed it out to my mother who by this time was half freezing to death at the minus 30 temperature we were experiencing. She was quick to brush it off and said to we had to walk fast in order to warm up. But then, I noticed that the object was still. I told my mom to stop walking for a second to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me (and to confirm that she was also seeing the same thing) Low and behold, the object was as still as could be, not making a sound. We decided to keep walking since it was too darn cold to stick around.

The object followed us. When we stopped, it would stop. When we would move forward it would move forward...at one point it had gotten a little too far ahead of us and actually reversed itself to be in sync with us. (?) We passed a pizza place and a few stores until we came to a clearing between a house and a flower shop where it was darker because the glare of the street lights was faded by the heavy darkness that lay in behind the house. As if things weren't bizarre enough already, it started a strange sequence of shape shifting. It changed from oval to round. Then split in two to make two round amber coloured shapes one staying still while the other dance with the tree. At about that time, two women came out of the house and one exclaimed to the other "Look at that!" but the other lady, disinterested, told her friend that they didn't have the time to fool around and they got in their car and left. One thing I need to mention here is that while the craft was shape shifting, my mother and I were sort of in awe of the whole thing...so much so that the minus 30 degree weather didn't seem to bother us at all. In fact, we were as warm as can be. Anyway, we decided to head home since my brother, who was only 8 or 9 at the time, was home alone and we needed to get back quickly for fear that he may get scared if left alone for too long.

We started home and the craft seemed to have disappeared ? We cut through the parking lot of a low-roofed warehouse where we saw something that I will never forget. The orange glow of the streetlight lit the side of the hugest object I have ever seen in my life. It looked like this big black (tar) mass sitting maybe 30-50 feet above the roof of this warehouse. It was so big that we couldn't see the other side of this thing. This massive triangular shape appeared to be moving very slowly ahead of us, directly over the townhouse project we lived in. Two men were on the other side of the street and saw the event...I never guessed they would have run away from it though. And at that moment, the most remarkable thing happened. The object shifted upwards to show its full form and for the first time we actually heard noise...blue lights light up the entire triangle and electric blue sparks shot downward from either ends of the craft. I was amazed and terrified at the same time. It still evokes strong feelings just thinking about it.

The object seemed to have disappeared once more, only to reappear a quarter of a mile further as a reddish-blue light swishing back and forth in the night sky. We continued home which was literally across the street by that time and realized that we were warm. My brother opened the door with a very worried look on his face. "Where were you mom? You were gone for so long! Where were you?" My mother and I looked at each other and then at my brother, perplexed. My mother said: "We've only been gone about half an hour" I quickly took off my winter boots and walked to the kitchen to look at the time on the wall clock. "Mom, it's 9:30 p.m. how is that possible?"

Ever since that day, we have strived to explain the time loss but we really can't come up with anything that would make sense.

I had an appointment at the Chiro's office for 6:30 p.m. We left the office at 6:45p.m. went to the store across the street and were out by 7:00 p.m. the latest. From that particular store back to our house was only a 20 minute walk...given the fact that we stood still for a little while we'll add 20 minutes just to be sure ( actually, it only felt like 10-15 minutes altogether) So, technically we should have arrived home at 7:40 p.m.

Surely, we would have noticed if we were outside in minus 30 degree weather for a total of 2 1/2 hours. We would have had frostbite or something.

Thank you to the witness for the amazing report.

Kelowna, British Columbia Bright Object Maneuvers Over Mountain & Lake

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: 1997/98 Time: Between

I took a call from a gentleman who reported that he and family members back in 1997/98 in the Kelowna, B.C. area watched the most unusual light going up and down the lake and mountains. The object made many strange maneuvers, the witnesses first thought it may have been a helicopter. But after observing it for a very long time, plus seeing what it was doing, they soon knew that what they were watching was not a helicopter or normal aircraft.

Kelowna, British Columbia Green Object

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: 1997 (?) Time: Between 1:00 and 3:00 a.m.

Hello Mr.Vike, I'm writing in regards to an article I read a few hours ago about about those girls and some other lady and their experiences here in Kelowna a few years ago. While I can't say that I believe in their stories or any other abduction stories, and I do have rather skeptical opinions on whether or not we are even being visited, there was something to the stories that raised the hair on the back of my neck in a way that hasn't happened for years. I figured it wouldn't hurt to write you about the green light I saw quite a few years back in this same town and, from what I just read, in the same area. (not to mention I just can't sleep now that my mind is too busy thinking about it all).

I had moved here (Kelowna) around '97 (it's been awhile, I just can't remember the exact dates) because I landed a job with one of the security companies here before I even finished my security training. One of the first assignments I had gotten from them was to patrol on foot, at the golf course that's located along Glenmore. They wanted security at night to keep the late nighters from walking on the new grass (the course had new grass due to the expansion and the new expansion I was told, was a great short-cut to the highway and alot of teens were using it at night).

It was an easy, but boring and eventless job so most of the time I just spent hours watching for shooting stars and strolling around. One night, I was patrolling in the direction facing Rutland, maybe even East Kelowna, and I saw a green light dropping down over what I was pretty sure was Rutland.

I know memory makes for a bad witness, but a green-light meteor is not something I can forget. I remember being excited because I've seen shooting stars almost any night I look up long enough, but I've never seen one that looked as though it made it through the atmosphere and headed straight for the ground. I also remember the sick feeling I got because it stayed lit the whole time and looked like it hit Rutland. The reason it bothered me is because I had moved my family into Rutland, and for a meteor to hold it's light all the way til impact, I figured it would have to have some size to it.

Then, after awhile of standing there staring for awhile and still kind of shocked at what I saw, I relaxed realising that if the meteor had any size to it like I was worrying about, I would have heard or felt or seen an impact. So I laughed and went back to being excited about the sight and waited to see if anyone on the radio was going to start talking about it. I was new on the job and didn't want to look bad by bringing up useless chatter on the radio about meteors and the such.

Nothing. Not one word. One of security car patrollers stopped by to check on things and I talked about it with him. He thought it would have been cool to see (after making a few jokes about thinking I'm drinking on the job) but reported that he saw nothing like that. I couldn't believe it. I mean, it didn't light the sky up or anything, but it was not something you would miss if you were looking in that direction.

It happened late, like around 1-3 am or there abouts, and it was middle of Spring, but Kelowna wasn't all asleep around that time so I figured it would at least make the news or the paper for sure. I got home around 7:00 am and sat in front of the TV to see if there would be a big deal about it on the news. My fiance at the time had woken up due to the noise I was making coming home and I told her about it. So we sat and watched the local channel til we fell asleep.

Nothing. For a week I watched the local news and eyeballed the local paper for any report on it and nothing. It bugged me for some time that there was no report on it because I really thought it was a big deal. I mean, this is an area that will report in the news how many kittens Mrs. So-So's cat had the other night, so I thought for sure a larger green meteor would have made the news.

For years I haven't really given it further thought, was just one of those rare lucky meteor sightings that I'd smile about whenever I'm looking up at the stars or reading about planets and space etc.

Now, after reading your article, I'm thinking about it again, and I don't know what to think. It was green, unmistakingly green, didn't flash or trail any other color, it looked like it stayed green all the way down to the earth ( which is still blowing my mind that it happens to be the same area that those girls in your article reported seeing it) and now I'm remembering it not being so fast as I was able to say 'Holy Crap!' before it was gone or hit ground. Kind of like a fast falling flare I guess. Fast enough to have a bit of a tail, but not fast like a meteor streaking the sky. The Spring season being in common is also pretty flukey as well.

Like I said, I find it hard to buy the other stories, but the area and being green have me believing they indeed saw something. But im also having a problem now trying to fathom green meteors being a semi-common occurence here in Kelowna.

Make of this what you will, take it or leave it. I had not experienced time loss, seen it move in any other direction other then down (albeit a bit slow), and didn't walk away from the sighting the worse for wear, but I would really appreciate it if you would write me back to tell me if anyone else has reported to you the wild sight around the same time. It was just too surreal and fantastic for only me to have seen.

Sorry for the long letter, and good luck in your research.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Fort Nelson, British Columbia 3 Round Large Balls Of Light Levitating

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: September 15, 1996 Time: Approx: 11:30 p.m.

It was about 11:30 pm, A friend and I were on our way to attend a collage course in B.C.. We saw what looked like 3 round large balls of light levitating in the air.The biggest one was on top,it looked like it was very hot in color, a very bright white, the next one was under that one and it looked like the color of fire yellow, then the next one was under that one, it looked like it was fire red/yellow. All three were equally spaced apart what looked like about 30 to 60 feet apart. The biggest one looked to be about 50 to 60 feet in diameter, the next one down was about 35 to 25 feet in diameter, and the small one was the closest one to the ground, it looked to be about 15 to 20 feet in diameter and was about 60 feet off the ground.

They all just hung in the air with no sound, but very bright. As I drove faster to get closer to them, I got about 200 ft from them and they all just disappeared. As we drove further, we seen what looked like a very large white oval light ahead of us maybe 1/4 mile. I then stopped the car, turned off the car lights, and shut off the car as not to disturb whatever it was.My friend and I watched it for about 5 min. then it started to move very slow but started to go faster and started to pickup speed. Then it took off real fast and left a long trail behind that looked like the same shape and it stayed white for some time. It looked like what your hand would look like as you passed it in front of you fast.We drove to Watson Lake and reported it to the R.C.M.P. as a UFO sighting. My friend is a Pentecostal Minister for 20 years, he is about 54 years old, and I am 52 years old myself now. All the round balls were glowing like a electric welder, "a pulsating-light."

Thank you to the witness for their report. If anyone else witnessed this back in 1996 would you please be kind enough to let HBCC UFO Research know, plus the witness would like to know as well.

Toronto, Ontario Black Triangle Shaped Craft

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: Summer of 1996. Time: Early morning.

Location of Sighting: window of my apartment building Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Triangular and black.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was age 7 at the time, it was early morning. I can't remember too much because I didn't take it all that seriously until I realized what I truly saw. It sped across the sky so fast, it was black and was fairly high up in the sky, it was triangular in shape. It was gone with a matter of maybe 2 seconds. I ran to my sister's room to see if I could catch sight of it leaving in the other direction but it was gone. My apartment is 16 floors up and I have an amazing view of Toronto. I told my sister about it but she had told me it was probably an airplane. I knew it couldn't have been but I dropped it and sort of forgot about it until I stumbled upon this website. I know what I saw and it was no airplane.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Winnipeg, Manitoba Witness Drives Directly Underneath A Saucer Shaped UFO

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: February 4, 1996 Time: 11:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: TransCanada Highway #1 at MB highway #5 intersection. Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Saucer.

Full Description of event/sighting: I've seen what I would consider to be actual UFO's three times in my life - one during the day and two nighttime sightings. This isn't counting odd lights or some object that is so far away it could be anything, which I have also witnessed on several occasions, these were actual craft that I could see clearly.

The most memorable encounter of the three happened on the night of February 4, 1996 at about 11:00 at night. While driving on the main highway in rural Manitoba one night, I drove directly underneath a saucer-shaped UFO hovering about 50 feet above the road. At the time I was living in Brandon and the man I was dating lived in Winnipeg, about 200 km away. Every Friday night after work I would make the two-hour drive into Winnipeg and then return home Sunday night, usually leaving around 9:00. I would invariably be tired and anxious to get home, so the bright street lights at the Carberry intersection at Highway 5 on the TransCanada Highway (a.k.a. the #1) was always a landmark that I watched for because it meant I only had half an hour left before I was home.

On this particular night it was quite cold (although not abnormally so for February in Manitoba) and I had left Winnipeg at around 9:30. After checking my watch and doing some calculations I was thinking that by the time I hit the intersection it would be almost exactly 11:00, which meant I would be home by 11:30. Having driven this stretch of highway often I knew exactly when to expect to be able to see the Carberry lights. As they came into view, I noticed immediately that there were two other lights hovering just above the familiar streetlights. I kept watching these lights as I drove towards them and they didn't move at all, up or down or side to side. I simply couldn't imagine what they could be. I later calculated that from the time I first saw the lights to the time I reached the intersection was about 7 km, so they were in my line of vision continuously for approximately 4-5 minutes before I reached them. As I got closer I could tell that these lights were hovering about 10-15 feet above the height of the streetlights.

If the poles are approximately 30 feet and the UFO was 15 feet above them, that would make it only about 50 feet off the ground, extremely close. As I approached the intersection I could tell that whatever this thing was, it was on the other side of the streetlights so I couldn't really see anything more than a dark saucer shape as I drove through the intersection because of the glare from the streetlights. It wasn't until I was completely through the intersection could I look up and clearly see the UFO. I was driving in the passing lane because as I was coming up to the intersection there was a white van in the right hand lane that wasn't traveling quite as fast as I was, so I was in the left lane, or passing lane, going by it (the #1 is a divided highway). We were traveling fairly close together as we passed through the intersection, so I know someone else had to be seeing what I was seeing. I also saw two other vehicles on the other side of the highway headed east towards Winnipeg and knew that they must be seeing this thing too.

I had kept my eye on the object the entire time as I got closer to it because I knew it had to be something very unusual. As I drove through the intersection and got past the glare, it suddenly came into sharp view. I was going to drive directly underneath it, it was right in front of me. I couldn't believe what I was seeing. It was round and flat, the typical "flying saucer" shape. I couldn't see the top of it of course as I was now quite close to it, but the bottom was very clear. The two lights that I had seen as I was approaching it were on the bottom of the craft and were different colours, but I honestly can't remember what they were, blue and white or yellow, I believe. There was also a third light (this one was red, if I remember correctly) that I had been unable to see until I was closer.

I remember thinking at the time that the craft perhaps had been tilted slightly towards the west with the side that was furthest from me (as I approached it) being slightly higher and that was why I hadn't seen the third light until then, or perhaps the convex bottom had prevented me from seeing it earlier. The lights were set in a triangular pattern equidistant from each other. It was hovering over the left lane of the westbound highway, not in the middle, so my car drove directly underneath. As I looked up at it through the windshield I thought how it looked just like something out of a movie. It was metallic, dark but shiny, reflecting the lights from below. It was covered with what looked like machinery of some sort, all curvy tubes and pipes, all over the bottom of it except around the edge. It was approximately 35-40 feet across and I did not hear any noise emanating from it (but I was traveling at about 90 km per hour so the road noise may have drowned out any subtle sounds it may have been making). As I mentioned it was only about 50 feet above me so I got a really good, close look at it, and the light from the intersection was illuminating it quite well.

I have wished heartily ever since that I had stopped that night but I didn't, for several reasons. First, it was late and I was tired and I had to be at work at 7:00 the next morning so I really wanted to get home to bed. Secondly, it was the middle of winter and it was, as I said earlier, fairly cold. Also, I was by myself and was a little frightened by what I was seeing - if I had been with someone else I probably would have been braver. And I was in the passing lane and the white van was still too close for me to change lanes again safely, and you shouldn't stop on the shoulder of the passing lane. However, I did get a really good look as I drove towards it and then under it.

It may or may not be pertinent to note that there is a Canadian Forces army base in Shilo about 25 miles southwest of this intersection. Anyway, that's what I saw that night. I did arrive home at 11:30, so there was no weird time loss or anything like that. I'd be interested to know if anyone else reported seeing anything there that night, as there were definitely other witnesses.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Abbotsford, B.C. Numerous Erratic Flying Lights

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: Winter of 1995 Time: 8:45 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Mill Lake, Abbotsford, B.C. Number of witnesses: Myself. Number of objects: Approx.35 Shape of objects: Difficult to tell due to distance (cylindrical or round).

Full Description of event/sighting: While I was out walking at Mill Lake one evening on a clear night I was returning back to my car in the main parking lot when I saw several small white lights moving in a very erratic manner. At first I thought they looked like fire-fly's but how could this be in winter because I had only ever seen fire-fly's in summer. I had opened the window slowly to look more clearly and then got out of the car to look ever closer because they were not fire-fly's but were many flying objects many kilometers away in the north-eastern sky.

They had bright white lights and were flying in very random order almost appearing to collide with one another while moving in one direction then totally opposite directions without making a turn. I had never seen flying objects move in that fashion before and it was quite a spectacle. It was as though they were showing off their maneuvers and the speed was incredible for the human eye then after about 10 seconds the objects all formed into a line and began to fly in a huge circle one behind the other and after one complete circle they all went into one white light and then disappeared.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Penticton, B. C. Three Lights That Moved Around Each Other

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: Summer of either 1995 or 1996. Time: Approx 10:00 p.m.-12:00 a.m.

Number of witnesses: Between 4 - 15 Number of objects: Between 3 to 15 Shape of objects: White balls of light resembling stars. Weather Conditions: Clear summer night.

Description: I was walking with three friends when one of them pointed out moving lights in the sky. They looked like shooting stars, except they were sitting stationary at what I might estimate to be over ten thousand feet. They were quite small due to distance.

I saw three lights that would move around each other, darting back and forth, making quick right angles, starting and stopping. This lasted for about five minutes before they all disappeared, as if the lights were suddenly turned off. They moved very quickly, and then would stop suddenly, move slowly, then dart about.

When we got home from our walk, I excitedly ran to tell some of my friends what I'd witnessed. They had just returned from a bush party were quite excited as well. Before I could open my mouth, the group of friends were telling me they witnessed 10 to 15 lights that were darting back and forth, before disappearing after about ten minutes. Many people saw this event.

I wish I could remember more specific details, such as an exact date, but this event took place over ten years ago. I should have reported it back then. If need be, I am still in contact with my friends that experienced this phenomenon. It changed my perception of reality.

Having been in The Royal Canadian Air Cadets, I'm extremely familiar with all manner of man made aircraft. This was no man made aircraft, nor was it a satellite, nor a cluster of stars. These were "Unidentifiable." They were alien.

TV/Radio I do not know if this was in the press, but wouldn't be surprised.

Sussex, New Brunswick Three Lights In The Shape Of A Triangle

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: Summer 1995 Time: 10:00 p.m.

Approach Direction: South. Departure Direction: North. Witness Direction: East.

Description: A friend and I lay outside on the picnic table. He said,"look up." I did and he pointed at 3 lights. They looked to me like stars because they were so far up in the sky. Two were chasing the one. They looked to be in the shape of a triangle. There was a flash and the front one disappeared. The two behind changed direction and headed back toward where they had came from. Without turning. They flew straight one way and then straight the other way after the front one disappeared. I watched them fly up as they got smaller and smaller until I couldn't see them anymore. Nothing I know of can go one way then the other without turning around some way or another.

Color/Shape: Too far away to describe other than they were bright like a star.

Height & Speed: Too fast to tell but a jet wouldn't be able to keep up.

TV/Radio/Press: No reports.

Gibsons, British Columbia A Silent Craft (UFO)

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: Mid 1990's Time: Fall night.

Location: Gibsons, BC (Sunshine Coast).

At the time, Gibsons was still a very quiet place. I was walking home, watching the sky as I often do. The sky was dark blue or black with stars and the occasional puffy cloud, lit from below by the village street lights.

I saw what appeared to be a low-flying passenger airliner. I only saw the front of this. It was silvery and rounded at the front. From the front to the back, as far as I could see, were what appeared to be lit plane (squarish) windows (perhaps 6). I stopped to watch and then it occurred to me that a) if it was a plane flying that low I should be able to hear engines, but there was no noise and b) plane cockpits are not lit up as passenger windows are. Nor was there a cockpit bulge.

This "plane" i.e. just the part that I could see, went behind a cloud. I stood and waited for it to emerge on the other side. It was a small cloud. It did not come out the other side.

I heard locally that another woman had reported a UFO at a similar time.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Maple Ridge To Mission, British Columbia Diagrams Of A UFO Encounter

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: 1995 Time: Evening

Here's a couple of scans, both sides of one page, I drew this years ago, in "comic strip" numbered fashion. As you'll notice some of the distances are different, and yep, guessing distance and 10 years I guess did that. Also I say 1995 too , that would have been right to, from late 1993-early 1994 to the beginning of 1995.

I had 3 pages all together , but this is the only one that is still left and sitting in a junk drawer with tools, wires and other junk. It's not in the best shape :) if you want a higher scan just let me know. I don't know if you want to put this up,or just add to your files, whatever's ok with me. In fact, for some reason I've always been hesitant to talk, but have pushed myself to talk about it.

Like I even have a hard time to believe in so many sighting, but it did happen. My wife, two kids and myself all have been witness to crafts of some type. It is very perplexing. For some reason it does seem a bit to many? Sightings, and that's always puzzled me. I think it was the area, there's that many there in maple ridge, out to mission and probably even further.

Thank you to the person for the report.

Markham, Ontario A Huge Red Fire Ball

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: 1994 - 1995 ? Time: N/A

Hi there I just wanted to share a story with you.

I was surfing the net, and decided to look up UFOs just for fun and I came across a story on your site that is so similar to an instance that I had as a child, I just had to write you, because everyone I have ever told has thought me to be a nut, so I never really talk about it.

I lived in Markham Ontario at the time of this event. I was in grade six or seven ( I can't remember the exact date: terribly sorry) or in 1994-95. I often had trouble sleeping and would stare out my window for hours before falling asleep, so again I can't tell you what time. My window faced south west. One night a huge red fire ball which seemed very close to the ground glided downwards over my house moving fast in the same south west direction. There was no sound as I can vividly recall.

As it went out of my sight in the distance it seemed to me to have made an impact as the whole sky flashed in a dull red, again there was no sound. It scared the living hell out of me, and when I went to my mother she thought I had just had a bad dream, but to this day, I know what I really saw that night, and thought maybe you might be intrigued by my story in some way. Do you know of anyone else who has seen this? Is there an explanation, or was I just dreaming? Can you get back to me? Thanks.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

In The Area Of Springhill, Nova Scotia Pilot Observes Chrome Sphere

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: 1995 (?) Time: N/A

HBCC UFO Research Note: I did try to email the gentleman back in hopes of gathering more information on this sighting. But my email bounced back to me, I tired again and again my email came back. So I don't know if there is just an email problem somewhere along the line, or if indeed this story is real. But some of what the fellow mentioned in his letter rings a bell for folks who would know about flying. So I decided to post this report, but for now, I just don't know for sure if this is indeed a true experience. Just wanting to be careful.

Well, my name is (removed) and I have kept my sighting of a strange object somewhat quiet for a number of years. I didn't feel comfortable about talking about the experience for a variety of reasons - one of which I was at the time a serving Police Officer and didn't need my credibility brought into question. Another reason was simply - Who would even believe me/us? I have the exact date of my sighting in my pilots logbook, but since I don't readily have the log on me as I type, I'll explain the occurrence estimating the timeframe.

During the summer of (I believe 1995) In the mid afternoon, I was flying a small 4 place aircraft from Halifax, Nova Scotia (Canada) to Summerside, Prince Edward Island. I had my young son with me and my 67 year old Father-In-Law. We were level flight at about 4000' and the weather was phenomenal - It was sunny with a few scattered clouds and a typical great summers day. My son was asleep in the rear of the plane and my father-in-law was sitting right seat. When we over the area of Springhill, Nova Scotia,.. My Father-In-Law was looking past me and to the left of our plane and said "What's that?" pointing his finger at what I can only describe as a "Chrome Sphere" maybe 30' in diameter a 1000' lower than us, about three miles to the direct left of us and at about the same airspeed. I told my Father-In-Law that I didn't know what it was! He asked if it was a helicopter and I replied it wasn't - as it was a perfectly round shiny ball.

It is difficult to describe the various emotions experienced during tense or adverse situations, but I remember feeling excited and at the same time, having a sickly feeling in my stomach! I kept the plane in level flight and contacted "Flight Following." I querried as to whether or not there were any other aircraft in my vicinity and received the reply "Negative, Your the only aircraft on the scope." I then called back and said I have an object to my left same direction of travel and speed at approximately 3000' and 3 miles away! Flight following replied again that they have nothing else on radar.

I decided to try something - probably wasn't the best idea at the time, but I turned my plane West towards the Ball and all of a sudden it "Shot away!" at an extreme rate of speed taking it a good 10 - 15 miles away in a mere second! The way it traveled resembled a baseball heading away from you and making a slight curve to the left and upwards at the same time. When it appeared to stop it was barely visible as a spec. I banked right and resumed my heading towards Summerside. My Father-In-Law just looked stunned and remained quiet for a few minutes. After a bit he asked again if it was a helicopter or another plane? I told him I didn't know what it was, but it was definitely no plane or helicopter like I had ever seen. Flight following called back and asked if we could identify the second aircraft? After some thought, I called them back and said "No!"

I no longer serve as a Police Officer and always pondered what it was we saw that day. I did see a documentary a few years later with Lee Majors providing commentary. On the video there were a variety of clips and stories, but I got goose bumps when one story had a photo of a "Silver Ball" like the one my Father-In-Law and I had seen.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Lake Of Bays Muskoka, Ontario A Large Purple Rotating Spiral

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: December 1994 Time: 1:00 - 2:00 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Lake of Bays Muskoka. Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Spiral.

HBCC UFO Research Note: The witness for this sighting report mentions the sighting took place years ago and thought he would finally file a report. Please do take a few minutes and file a report of your sighting, no matter when it took place as every sighting is so very important. Thank you, Brian.

Full Description of event/sighting: Even though this was a long time ago I felt should report it because I have since seen videos very similar to what I saw. Specifically a video of a white spiral in Russia identical in everything but colour and duration. I have a cottage in Muskoka where my family sometimes go in the winter. My family had all gone to bed and I was lying on the dock looking at the stars. All of a sudden there was a large, purple, slowly rotating spiral. It was quite large compared to anything else in the sky, a circle about half the size of the moon, at least. This was a very clearly cut, brightly coloured, perfect spiral. It stayed in the sky slowly rotating and then simply disappeared after an hour of me lying in the snow trying to figure out what exactly I was looking at.

I'm not sure if there is much else to tell but I am interested to see how many spiral sightings there have been.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Houston, B.C. Four Seasons Park Light Follows Snow Mobiles

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: December 1994 Time: 10:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 5 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Circular

Full Description of event/sighting: When I was 14, some friends and I were snow mobiling around 4 seasons park in Houston B.C.. There were five of us and two snowmobiles. We had experienced some strange events in that area before, but this one was the freakiest and the one I remember the most. There were three of us on one snowmobile, and two on the other. The larger of the snowmobiles died on us in the middle of the ball field. The other snowmobile was small and could not carry everyone, so one of us, who was on the broken sled got on the other and got a ride back to the house we were staying at on Jewel Road. The two remaining, (myself and friend) decided that we would leave the sled and start walking. We walked for what we felt was only a couple of steps in the deep snow and then when we looked back the sled was far away, like 100 meters.

We were both really confused at the moment and then we saw our friend coming for us on the snowmobile, after she had dropped off the other two. We immediately began running towards the snowmobile. When we got to it we hopped on and started heading back to the house. We were being followed by what we thought was another sled and we were already freaked out by the walking distance, so we were yelling at our driver to go faster. The "sled" behind us kept right up and changed in color and size very quickly. It started out as a regular white light which resembled the headlight of a snowmobile, but as we went faster, it grew larger and also changed to a deep red color. As soon as we got out of the trees and closer to the houses it just disappeared. We were all quite shaken up and all three of us saw the same thing and could not explain it.

Additional Information:

Hi Brian, I will try to answer your questions the best I can. The incident happened on a clear night in December. I know that it was cold. Not sure whether the moon was full or not. The light was south west to us, we were heading north, it was behind us. It was ground level, or just above, because we thought it was another snow mobile at first. It started as a whitish light, like the color of a headlight, it then it turned red and then it disappeared. At first we though that it was another sled, and that it had just turned around, however the trail was not wide enough for it to turn around as quickly as the light changed color. I can't remember any sound, but my friend who was with me said that it was a screeching type sound. I am unsure of texture, it was only a light and as for speed. It kept up with the snowmobile and we were going quite fast, however I am unsure of what the exact speed. Hope this answers your questions.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Gatineau, Quebec (Near Ottawa) A Formation Of Lights

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: September 1994 Time: Approx: 9:30 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: Many Shape of objects: Lit formations.

Full Description of event/sighting: One night I was just sitting on the balcony, I was alone with my toddler sleeping inside. I saw a formation of lights not moving. Then another light arrived so fast, it almost appeared and stayed there for a few seconds, then they all went away, almost like an explosion without fire.

The following week my Mom was visiting, I went outside on the balcony to point to the sky (trying to explain to a non believer is not easy, they ignore you) and it was there again. I got excited and called my mom who was getting ready for bed. It made her nervous, so she came outside without her glasses! She says she saw lights but she thinks it's a plane. But planes do not move like that, and do not stay still either. I don't know what I saw. But it was nothing I ever saw before. Not a plane or a helicopter (or multiples of either). So until I am told otherwise, to me I saw UFO's.

(Looked at the sky every night for a year after that around the same time, never saw anything again).

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Between Barrier & Kamloops, B.C. (Lewis Lake) A Brilliant Blue Ball (UFO)

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: August 19-1994 Time: 10:30 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Circular object.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was traveling west on Highway 5 when I saw something in the southern sky. When I looked to my left side, travelling along parallel to me was this brilliant blue ball of light approx: 50' in diameter. It was about 1/2 mile off of the highway. It made absolutely no noise. I thought that I would find where the object had crashed, as it appeared to be heading in a downward fashion. But when I got to were I thought it might be, there was nothing. It just simply disappeared. I stopped at a service station and asked the attendant if they had seen the object, but they hadn't. There was no moon that night, so it was a dark night. This object lit the sky as if it were daylight.

Thank you to the witness for their report.
