Port Maitland, Nova Scotia A Large Multi Colored Flashing Ball

Posted: January 13, 2008

Report Received: February 05, 2007

Date: September 2005 Time: Evening (nightfall)

Message: I should like to report a UFO sighting I had in 2005 - I did report this to local radio station to see if anyone else had called in with it, but they never got back to me.

It was a late Summer evening and dark out. I happened to look out of my upstairs bathroom window which overlooks the ocean and in the sky was this large multi colored flashing ball. It hovered for a few seconds then darted right to left. I called my husband to see this, but by the time he had arrived the flashing ball had come to a stand still, although still flashing colors. It then rose high in the sky and was gone, I went to the front of the house to see it, it had gone into the eastern sky but it was nowhere to be seen. I called a neighbor to see if he had seen anything of the same nature but he had not.

Did you hear of anything being reported of a similar nature. I was not drinking as I don't drink. I am not one drug. This really did happen, but when I reported it no one seemed to care. But I would like to know what it was, nothing I know of could move that fast, or in a left to right and up and down formation. Please give me your views.

Additional Information Below:

Hi, thank you for replying, As I said I viewed this from my home which is in a village called Port Maitland, population about 500, nearest large town is Yarmouth with a population about 15,000, province of Nova Scotia in Canada. Not sure now what month of summer this took place now as I did not record it, but my husband thinks it was September. I watched for no longer than five minutes, the colors were very bright, mainly red and blue. I first viewed it just above the trees, but I thought at the time that it was over the ocean, or just above the shore line, (we live very close to the ocean) I hope this is of help. I have at different times watched for it but it has never appeared again.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Sudbury, Ontario Unusual UFO Sighting

Posted: January 13, 2008

Date: September 21, 2005 Time: Approx: 6:30 p.m.

Approach Direction: North. Departure Direction: South. Witness Direction: East.

Description: I was coming home from an orthodontist appointment down Ramsey Lake road from the direction of Science North. By a stroke of luck, the back seats were full of junk and I sat shotgun, which is unusual because I sat behind the drivers seat so long I'm just used to it.

As we were going down the road I noticed a bright light approaching the edge of the shore, coming from just over the lake. I looked at it funny because it was very unusual, the hospital would have been directly the opposite direction it was heading but the helicopter is always going somewhere and never travels this slow, low and this did not have the standard blinking lights. This was my first UFO that I'd seen, one of a good at least 2 and I was very curious and watched it patiently to make sure of what I was seeing. As I watched it, I noticed the spotlight under it was moving. The day was clear, not a single cloud in the sky and it wasn't dark enough yet to see all the stars, but I could see Venus and some larger stars. The spotlight was so intensely bright that you could see it through the air for probably the first 70 feet.

The beam was aimed at the road and stayed there as it approached being directly over the road a little ways past. it was looking at the cars and the way it moved around and did not stay stationary, something was definitely moving it. As it just passed the road it moved the light quickly over to the building near the road. it was definitely not robotic, or perhaps joysticked or something, it was very not stationary and constantly moving, kind of how a helicopter would look for a criminal. It aimed at the walls of a building that I believe is a library or something with Laurentian University.

As it moved the light around the walls of the building it continued to Travel Inn the same seemingly due south direction. After passing the building it must have sped up a bit as it seemed to cover more distance, but it was not dramatic. After passing the building the beam was pointed straight down and as of now, I was roughly 150m away plus its altitude. Suddenly a ball of light dropped from the craft and fell until 30 feet from the craft where it seemed to go out, without any sign of debris, two others followed in perfect succession of about half a second (if anything different, it would have been less) with the exact same disappearing act. the lights were yellow and seemed perfectly incandescent in appearance compared to the white-beamed spotlight.

At this point in time it was heading in the same direction at a slow pass (still) when the building it was looking at blocked my view. I wasn't able to see it after that, it could have still been there or left in a flash I really can't say. The whole time it was there it didn't make a sound. My mom saw it also but was more focused on driving most of the time. It wasn't exactly sundown, the perfect boundary when the stars just begin to come out yet there was no light in the sky really, so the craft itself was pretty invisible, especially with the intense spotlight. It was difficult to make out a dark, relatively flat object, appeared to be maybe an eye with eyelids proportion, the sort of oval shape, probably rounded edges, very small in size also. the spotlight diameter coming out of the bottom was probably 1/3 (or more)its total length, but still very hard to tell. I probably watched it for nearly a minute, perhaps longer.

I'm fairly sure of the date, but I figured I would make this report once I found out the probable exact date from my orthodontist.

Color/Shape: Appeared to be a dark Disc roughly 10 feet in diameter with a single spotlight-like white/blue tinged beam.

Height & Speed: 200-250 feet, 2-5 mph(well below walking speed) then a probable change to around 7-10mph.

TV/Radio/Press: CBC radio, two days after I saw it, my mother told me that her friend she works with heard news about UFOs in Sudbury the day before (day after I saw the UFO) on the CBC radio. They wanted people to call in with information, and I'm sure I got probably one of the best views of it, but I didn't feel like it, for being possibly ridiculed even though I may have been able to remain anonymous.

Thank you to UFOINFO for this report. http://www.ufoinfo.com/

Calgary, Alberta Three Lighted Object Slithered Across The Sky

Posted: January 12, 2008

Date: August 1, 2005 Time: 1:00 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Oblong

Full Description of event/sighting: At approximately 1:00 a.m. on August 1, 2005 a 3-lighted object slithered across the Calgary skyline, from west to east (I live on the west side). As it approached the downtown city lights it vanished and simultaneously a meteor appeared, following the same trajectory as the object.

I have one witness with me who saw me pointing to this object, but he couldn't see it himself. He instead followed my eyes as I was following the object and he saw the subsequent meteor. I said to him as I watched this object "look at that, there are no lights, yes, there are three lights". I said it in this way as I was seeing it and trying to digest what it was. I said "no lights" first because there were no red or white blinking lights that you would see normally see on a plane.

I knew there were no wings in other words. I don't understand how he could not have seen the object, it was large enough, close enough and there were no other objects visible in the cloudless, starry sky. He was absolutely convinced I was seeing and watching and following this object with my eyes, and the meteor happening at the same time I said to him "it's vanished" was quite a coincidence. No alcohol or other substances involved.

The object was about the size of a large airplane and was caterpillar or ameba-like with three "dome" type lights beneath it that did not radiate any sort of light downward. The lights took up at least 80% of the underside of the object. There were no other lights on the side or top or around it at all.

It made no sound like a regular airplane would. And it was too late for a normal airplane to fly over my house. It moved very "smoothly" across the night skyline. It appeared completely in synch with the sky, as if it was traveling on water, whereas a regular plane cuts across the air and makes audible sound. When I said caterpillar-like it was because of the fluidity of its movement - like it wasn't a completely solid structure, it could move and bend in a way a plane never would.

Thank you to the witness for the very interesting report.

Sandbanks, Prince Eward County Ontario

Posted: January 12, 2008

Date: August 2, 2005 Time: Between 1:00 to 1:30 am

Hi Brian, On August 2, 2005 at about 1:00-1:30 a.m. on a very clear night. At the location of the Sandbanks (Lake Ontario) Prince Eward County. (80 kms. south of Trenton,Ontario) I witnessed a very fast "shooting star" moving horizontally about one to 2000 feet max above the ground. It was bright white blue light, that left a 2-3 second trail of the same colour which faded out. It's speed was incredible, with a 3-4 second window of viewing about 3-5 miles of sky. I do know and have seen, even earlier that night, noticed about 4 or 5 falling stars. But this one was different Brian, it flew perfectly horizontal with a (2-3 sec) trail signature. The direction was East to West over Lake Ontario heading towards Toronto. So was this a natural event? or other? First timer on this one Brian, feedback would be appreciated.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Creston, British Columbia Orange Ball Splits In Two And Both Hover

Posted: January 12, 2008

Date: August 1, 2005 Time: Approx: 11:55 p.m.

The witness was looking at a clear sky filled with stars. Suddenly he noticed an orange fireball shaped object appear from the south. After observing for a few seconds it suddenly split into two objects of the same. The second one stopped and was hovering as the main piece continued along for a short distance and it to stopped. As the witness watched, both objects would appear to get dimmer, then flare up to their original brightness. Finally both objects darted towards the ground and into the distance very quickly until they finally vanished. One heading eastward and the other towards the north/northeast.

The witness told me the two orange objects sat hovering for approx: a minutes and a half and very low to the tree-line.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Around And On Burke Mountain Numerous White & Green Strobe Lights

Posted: January 12, 2008

Date: August 5 and 6, 2005 Time: Between 9:00 p.m. & Midnight

Friday and Saturday, Aug. 5 and 6th. between the hours of 9: PM and midnight. I was seeing numerous white and green strobe lights flashing over, around and on Burke Mountain. mainly near the Hydro lines. On Sat. night I aimed my video camera at the mountain. and just let it run. While it was running I attempted to watch the Fireworks on KatKam but it was taking too long to cycle. So I mainly just looked out the window. I saw numerous small planes apparently flying over to watch the fireworks and then returning. One apparent small plane caught my attention as it seemed to be glowing yellow all over, it had a red flashing strobe on top. I took a quick look through my binoculars and noticed it seemed to have black rectangular windows along the side and the red light on top was huge. It was headed east about the same height and speed as the rest of the aircraft. When I checked the tape I zoomed in and it looked more like a flying pie plate than any of the planes.

The lower portion was wider and looked like the drawing I tried making. ( Photo Shop decided to stop functioning so I was unable to trim the excess.)

The windows appeared to be evenly spaced all around the ship and being black I was unable to see anything within. Still not sure if it was a plane or not. I could not see any wings or tail and most passenger planes would be much higher and they usually have the window lit up from within. This was only at about 12 to 1500 ft. It didn't appear to be any bigger than the planes, so estimated 30 to 40 ft., only saw it from side so don't know if it was round, square or a tube. I would suspect it may have been round. But only guessing.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Boucherville, Quebec Light Turns Bluish In Color While Making A 45 degree Turn

Posted: January 12, 2008

Date: August 5, 2005 Time: 10:25 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Light.

Full Description of event/sighting: Hi, My girlfriend and I were in our homes backyard last Friday. I was out since 20h30 stargazing with my telescope as I do for 20 years each time I got time. My girlfriend was coming out of the pool and just sat on the deck looking at the sky. She told me to look at a satellite that she has just spotted coming from the North-West 'cause it looked weird. It took me a couple of seconds to spot it, because it was a little dim, nothing abnormal to me. I told her that it's just a normal satellite as the other couple of hundreds (even thousands) I've seen in my "career" of amateur astronomer. But as I say that, the light turned at an angle of approximately 45 degrees, started going South-West and picked up speed while turning kind of bluish. It disappeared so fast that I can't even think it was coming from earth, never seen anything like it in my hole life !

Since that time, we've talked about our sighting every single day...never a satellite can change it's path like that.

Additional Information:

No problem Brian, It does mean a lot to me to because I've always been aware that we are not alone in this wide universe. As I told you, I've never seen that kind of light before, and I can't tell how many nights I've passed outside looking to stars and planets. I'm 32 and I remember receiving my first telescope at 10.

Q. - Anyway, were you able to see a trail or tail following behind the object that you and your girlfriend witnessed ?

A. - Response: Not at all...

Q. - Was the object you both saw, was it at a high altitude ? (I am guessing it was)

A. - Response: About satellite high I think, surely in atmosphere...

Q. - How long were you both able to watch the object for ?

A. - Response: About 1 to 2 minutes until it sped away...

Q. - Was there any kind of flashing or blinking coming from it, maybe lights of some kind or the reflection of the sun if at a high altitude ?

A. - Response: Not flashing at all, maybe a solar reflection...

Q. - I almost forgot, was the light white before changing color to a blue ?

A. - Response: Yes, the object seemed white at first, but picked up speed and turned bluish.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Montreal, Quebec A Bright Shining Object Stationary In The Sky

Posted: January 12, 2008

Date: August 9, 2005 Time: 5:13 p.m.

HBCC UFO Research note: I have changed the names in this report to keep the witness names private.

Hi Brian, I hope things are fine out west just as they are here down east.

I received a phone call this morning from my friend May who lives in Montreal just before I stepped out my door to head to work. She said that this time she had to call me and there was no other way out of calling me (we call each other regularly) because she and her son had both seen something in the sky.

She said after having watched the space shuttle land earlier in the day, they were in the car once again driving her son to goalie camp and it was 5:13 p.m., when May noticed something very bright in the sky. She said she first thought it was the sun reflecting off of an airplane but the bright thing was not moving. It was stationary and when she told her son to check it. He uttered the words, “It looks like...”. He never even was able to finish his sentence when the object in the sky just vanished. Oh, she said there was not a cloud in the sky either. The young boy was trying to say that it looks like the same thing he saw on May 8.

I told May that I’ve had this inkling that our object is around again and that I’m going to see it again eventually. Why do I just truly believe in that? It’s just a gut feeling.

That’s all for now.

Thank you to the person for the report.

Parkland Area In, Manitoba Elongated Diamond Shape Object

Posted: January 12, 2008

Date: August 5, 2005 Time: 12:06 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Elongated diamond.

Full Description of event/sighting: I had been at the lake since Wednesday night, every night going out to the boat and laying on the front of it and looking at the stars. I would be out there by approx:10:30 p.m. It was on a Friday night. The sky was clear and there was no moon of course and laying on my back with my head on the boat windshield. My body was facing west as I happen to look out to the south west portion of the sky when a few moments later I became distracted by a light off to the west north west, when I turned to look directly at it.

I saw a white light, that was a elongated diamond shape. In comparison, the intensity was perhaps a third more bright than the light reflected off the space station. At first I thought a jet landing light which would be very bad since being in the middle of no-where. Then I thought maybe a helicopter, then suddenly the light increased in brightness. I thought maybe a meteorite burning up as it became even more bright, but it wasn't moving. The light continued to increase in brightness to the point of causing me to squint as I continued to look at it. I then suddenly felt as if I was in a very bright spot light. The intensity took me totally off guard and it was a very, very bright white light. I could feel panic just beginning inside of me and instinct about to kick in. It was then that the light dimmed back to the original intensity and the elongated diamond shape clearly visible again. Still I was trying to figure out what it was I was looking at. It slowly began to move upward, but not for very long as it suddenly shot straight off into the sky upward.

I looked at my watch it said 12:07 (after midnight). The whole thing took place for approx: 45 seconds to a minute, then night was dark again. I laid there for another hour trying to make sense of what I saw. It wasn't one of the things you become accustomed to seeing in the night sky.

Additional Information:

Dear Brian, Hello again...I don't have access to a scanner at the moment nor do I have a digital camera, so, for now anyway. I cannot send any kind of drawing. Perhaps the near future, sorry.

As for your other questions: perhaps the object was a half mile to a mile away, but truly it is hard to tell, for I have never seen any of the likes before.

The night was very calm and there was only the sound of the animals in the forest and in the lake that evening, even they seemed quiet when the object appeared. But that is all, nothing from what I was witnessing at the time, no noises or sounds.

The location of the lake is in the Parklands in Manitoba just near Riding Mountain National Park. There is seldom any aircraft at all over the area. There are no airports nor any kind of military, airforce, nor research installations any where near, the are no city's, only a few small towns and villages spread out.

There was no trailing light behind it, no tail nor trail. Just itself.

When the object started moving upward it was not very fast. It compared to about a second after it started to move, then speed, that cannot be achieved by us (I don't think) because of how fast it just shot up into the night, from slow to instant major speed. No rocket or jet that I have ever seen can do that.

There were no flashing or blinking or pulsing lights from the object. The only time it changed was in the intensity of the light, from something a bit brighter than the space station, to an almost blinding spot light kind of effect..then after it dimmed to the intensity when I first noticed it.

There was nothing coming off it. It was though a very noticeable object in the night, as it sat there in the sky with its elongated diamond shape glowing. It was so out of place.

There is nothing really that I can add at the moment about this incident. Except, perhaps coincidence, but the animals, they were very active that night. I mean lots of animals all around me as it is true wilderness. But they all seem to fall quiet for that brief period. oh, Brian, the way the object shot up and gone. I saw the same speed 3 years ago on one August afternoon. There on the lake, that is the only time I can think to compare it to. That silver disc that shot straight up, but you know that one. But, that speed, wow just incredible. Sorry I cannot help more, but I wish again I had a camera. Take care.

Toronto's Cherry Beach, Ontario Dark Object Over The Water

Posted: January 12, 2008

Date: August 5, 2005 Time: Approx: 6:30 p.m.

Hi Brian, it does appear another flap, may well be opening up.Your recent reports can tell the reader, of the great signs of activity happening. Here's a picture taken after 6:30 pm on Friday August 5, 2005, on the Toronto's Cherry Beach, facing south towards the US. I was fortunate to have my camera along to catch this one. I was attracted by the intensity of light on or just above the water. It was pretty far out there, so I snapped a picture for you to judge. Note: The darker object above, to the left of the bright light. Maybe some unearthly activity?

HBCC UFO Research Note: I tried to bring up the dark object in the image the gentleman is speaking of in his report, but it was just about impossible to see anything.

Coquitlam, B.C. Was it A Disk Shaped Craft

Posted: January 12, 2008

Date: August 6, 2005 Time: Approx: 7:00 p.m.

Aug. 06, 2005 - approx. 19:00 - Six o'clock news just finished and I decided to scan the mountains, just to check for smoke or anything unusual. About midway between Burke Mtn. And Heritage Mtn. I noticed a brief shiny flash. Usually these flashes turn out to be birds or small planes. But I waited to see if it would appear again and was soon rewarded with another brief flash.

I switched to my bigger binoculars as they are mounted on a stand and much more stable. I quickly located the object again and it appeared to be a Mylar balloon, shiny on one side and dark on the other. The only problem was Mylar balloons are rarely over about 24 inches in diameter and for this thing to be visible it must have been more like 20 or more feet in diameter. I set my camera up and aimed that way just to see if I could see it any better. I continued to track it for more than five minutes. It was moving much slower than a small plane and appeared to be stopping to check out each and every ravine or gully on the ridge just to the north of Burke Mtn. It slowly drifted out into the V shaped gap between that large peak to the north of Burke Mtn. And the ridge on the north.

There it stopped again then appeared to be coming straight at me as I could see it was slowly getting bigger and bigger. Just for a second I took my eyes from the binoculars to check the viewfinder on my camera. When I looked again it had completely vanished. I don't think it was a balloon.

1. Mylar balloons, generally climb pretty fast depending on the wind. This flew or floated pretty well horizontally for the entire five minutes at approx:. 3500 ft. and then appeared to make a right angle turn before vanishing. Appeared to be shaped like a rectangle or square pillow, but appeared to be tumbling like a balloon. Size - unknown, just looking at that gap and it could have been 20 or more yds. In diameter, For all I know. I scanned the whole mountain range but saw nothing.

Winlaw, British Columbia Bluish Colored Light Hovers

Posted: January 12, 2008

Date: August 8, 2005 Time: About 10:50

The skies were clear when my wife and I saw a bright bluish colored light. It was as bright as an arc from a welders welding machine. The object was hovering over the ground, approx 300 meters. It slowly rose up to a higher altitude, then it slowly disappeared towards the east. As it left it's hovering position, a mist or fine cloud was seen moving behind it. The light being so bright from the object one was able to see the mist very clearly. As it moved eastward, the light picked up speed at a incredible rate and was gone.

Kuujjuaq, Quebec Orange Light & The Perseid Meteor Shower

Posted: January 12, 2008

Date: August 11, 2005 Time: Approx: 7:55 p.m.

Hi Brian, I said I wouldn’t go out there tonight but I did anyway. I just had to check and indeed the sky had partially cleared so I can see some of the stars.

Just 20 minutes ago, looking to the NE sky I saw three “falling stars” within a five minute period. A few minutes after the first three fell, I saw the familiar little light (the orangey one) start to move, from my position, moving from NE to NW direction. It was moving slowly (relatively to its speed at other times). If I could put its speed in km/h it was going at about 50-60 km/h. I lost sight of it because some faint aurora and partial cloud were obscuring my view. It’s going to fly around us for a while, I’m sure, because that’s what it usually does. Then I looked to the SE sky (I was on my front porch tonight) and saw another “falling star”.

By any chance would you know if there are meteor showers going on above us tonight? Where can I access this kind of information quickly?

To answer the witness question about a possible meteor shower, this would be The Perseid Meteor Shower.

Thank you to the person for the report.

Scarborough, Ontario Possible White Colored UFO

Posted: January 12, 2008

Date: August 11, 2005 Time: Approx: 10:10 - 10:15 a.m.

Brian, I would like to report a possible white colored UFO photographed. Talk about a double head shaker on this one Brian. It's just been a continuum of layers of the "strange" around me. On Thursday, August 11, 2005, at about 10:10 -10:15am. During morning break, outside. The sky, north of my position was pure blue, no clouds no smog, no chemtrail signatures, just absolutely blue. Admiring the sky, about 20-30,000 ft.+, noticed a very, brilliant, "white colored" object.

The speed would be a guess of about + or minus, 300 mph. This object traveled from the west to the east with a slight turn, towards a northerly direction. I could not identify it with naked eye, as it may have been a Lear white jet. So time for my digital camera, and snapped 2 pictures of this moving white object. I used the building as a marker, to be sure to capture this object on film, on high resolution. After the pictures, I watched it for another 30 seconds. Duration of observing this object would be 2-3 minutes total. After no more sight of it, down I sit and reviewed the pictures. I had definitely caught one on film, a "brilliant" white dot, dead smack center on one of photo's. Here's the double head shaker Brian. After about half an hour later, I thought of viewing the pictures once again. This time, in a darkened washroom, very close to where I work. I was excited that maybe the darkness would add definition to the object. I was surprised to see that what I caught on film wasn't there anymore in the photos.

Thank you to the person for the report.

Edmonton, Alberta Soft Light Blue Object Changes Direction

Posted: January 12, 2008

Date: August 11, 2005 Time: 11:25 p.m.

Message: At 11:25 p.m. in Edmonton Alberta. My brother yelled for his wife and myself to come outside "quick!".

What appeared to be a shooting star was streaming by horizontally with 2 changes in direction before it resumed a horizontal path.

We easily ruled out plane and its path (remaining at a steady distance from the ground, higher than any plane's path we ever witnessed) we also ruled out shooting star. It was similar to a star in appearance from the ground, soft light blue coloring.

It was Awesome!

We stood there for approx 2-3 minutes until its distances made it hard to see.

Thank you to the person for the report.

Richmond, British Columbia Dull Yellow Oval Shaped Object

Posted: January 12, 2008

Date: August 12, 2005 Time: 10:45 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Backyard of residence in Steveson. Number of witnesses: 3 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Oval disk like.

Full Description of event/sighting: We were viewing shooting stars when out of the south east, an oval object appeared. It was a dull yellow and moved slower than a shooting star and quicker than a small airplane. We saw it for about 7-10 seconds and then it disappeared towards the North Star. It seemed to have a headlight that illuminated itself. It was distinctly oval and unique. We all agreed at the same time that what we were looking at was a UFO.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Boucherville, Quebec Object With Bluish Color Changing Back To White

Posted: January 12, 2008

Date: August 13, 2005 Time: 9:35 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Backyard, in front of me, over a tall tree. Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Sphere like.

Full Description of event/sighting: I went outside for a cigarette and as usual, I was looking to the sky hoping to see some of the annual Perseid meteor shower. All of the sudden, a bright light moving east to west appeared before my eyes. At first, I thought it was a satellite, but after a second I realized it couldn't be a satellite because it was moving too fast and had like a bluish color changing back to bright white as it moved.

It also seemed to me that the light had a sort of revolution around itself as it was moving. Like a ball rolling down on a floor.

I followed its course for 4-5 seconds until it disappeared into a cloud.

I forgot to say that there was no sound what so ever, no blinking lights like on a plane.

Well, that's about it. At last, a sighting in my hometown. Maybe it's just the beginning.

Additional Information:

Hi Brian, I will try to answer your questions the best I can.

Q. - 1. Did the object travel in a straight flight path:

A. - Yes

Q. - 2. What were the weather conditions at the time of the sighting ?

A. - Hot summer night, no wind, cloudy.

Q. - 3. Would you estimate the light was at a great altitude, I am wondering as you mentioned it disappeared into a cloud ?

A. - Well, it seemed to me that the light was not that high, opposing to a satellite for example. If I'm right, the light was at almost the same altitude a small recreational plane would have.

Q. - 4. Were there any aircraft in the area at the time of the sighing that you can remember ?

A. - There was no plane at the time of the sighting. No engine/propeller sound, or blinking lights.

Q. - 5.And did it have a trail or tail following behind it ?

A. - No

Q. - 6.Were you able to see any shape at all to it, or did it seem to change shape as it traveled across the sky ?

A. - Well, it seemed to me that the thing were round, like a little sphere of light. Again, I can be wrong, but I really think I saw it revolving around itself as it was moving.

Q. - If I can think of any other details, I will contact you.

A. - You can be sure I will watch the sky carefully for the next weeks.

Have a good night.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Dryden, Ontario Two UFO Discs

Posted: January 12, 2008

Date: August 1, 2005 Time: Approx: 2:50 a.m.

On August 1, 2005 about 2:50 a.m. I awoke as I could not sleep. So as normal, I got out of bed walked out on to the deck and looked up to the sky. I saw that it was a gorgeous night, the stars were shining bright. So I sat on the lawn chair and slouched back with my head on the backrest watching the stars. Then all of the sudden two disc like objects lit up above the housing subdivision. I jumped out of my chair, blinking my eye and starring at the two UFO discs. They started to move slowly across the sky from north to south then the one on the left moved sideways and then back again. They made no noise as they slowly continued moving south over Gamble subdivision down towards the yacht club docks and over the trees. Then they were out of my view, this lasted for about 40 seconds I would guess these object were about two or three thousand feet of the ground," I still can't believe it my self" since that night I have been reading like crazy on UFO sightings.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Western Oshawa, Ontario Low Flying Flashing Light

Posted: January 12, 2008

Date: August 13, 2005 Time: 11:26 p.m.

Brian, I would like to report a UFO sighting that was extremely close to my position tonight. They don't get much closer than this! I'm outside at home in western Oshawa, sky watching tonight, facing west on Saturday, August 13, 2005 at about 11:20 pm. In the description of what I saw, was simply amazing. This roundish, white star object, flashing ever so slightly, moving along north of my position.

Here's the kicker, this object was very low, at about between 100-150 feet above the ground. The distance from myself and the object, would be also between 100-200 feet max. away. The speed of the object to guess, would be around 80-100 + mph. This object appeared to be flashing, and it's size would be 2-5 ft. in diameter. It's flight path was from the east to west, towards Whitby,Ontario. The object's light intensity was just like that of a star, whitish blue. It did appear to have a ever so slight, up and down movement (waving). I had only a window of about 3-4 seconds to view this star-like object. I recorded the time at exactly 11:26 pm EST. How much closer will "they" get. I please urge any other people, to report any similar sightings to this recent one I have encountered.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

West Vancouver To Coquitlam, B.C. Strange Cloud & Fireball

Posted: January 12, 2008

Date: August 20, 2005 Time: 8:57 p.m.

Hi Brian, 08:57 - Aug. 20, Just after sunset, sky was still quite light towards the west, was just sitting here half watching TV and talking with my wife, all of a sudden she said, "what the heck is that". I looked over to Cyprus Bowl in West Vancouver where she was pointing but the only thing I could see was what appeared to be a dark gray contrail hanging in the sky and extending about half a mile to the south. She kept saying, look, look, its moving. I watched it more closely than realized she was right it was moving at a very high speed for a cloud. I took a look through my binoculars but it still just appeared to be a dark gray contrail.

Anyway within about 30 sec. to a minute, It traveled from over Cyprus Bowl to Heritage Mountain. In Coquitlam. All the time it maintained its shape, not spreading out like most contrails do, when being blown by the wind. Never seen clouds do that and I noticed the other clouds north of the mountains, all appeared to be going very slowly from east to west, not west to east. When it got over Heritage Mountain. It just seemed to fade away. Seconds later a very large meteorite or fireball appeared in the sky almost over our bldg. It headed north towards Heritage Mountain., before apparently burning out at almost the same spot in the sky where we last saw the contrail. I told my wife the contrail was probably from a Jet flying over earlier, but she insisted no.

That was the same thing she used to see in the skies over Fiji, going from the west towards the south. I repeated probably a Jet, she said "No its not" she used to see Jets flying over all the time and they were always white, not black or dark gray like this was. Wish I'd had the camera ready when the fireball went over it was spectacular and moving much slower than the usual meteorites we see.

The fire on Heritage Mountain. is out now but I still wonder what that white object was, you should have seen the way it just faded out as it resumed level flight. The sky conditions were still the same when the choppers came and they were flying all around the same area and the sky was clear, the only time I couldn't see them was when they either flew behind the mountain or dropped down behind the ridges apparently to get water.

Thank you to the witness for the report.
