Two Elongated Box Shaped UFOs Near Musquodoboit Harbour Nova Scotia (Graphic/Maps)

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date of Sighting: October 24, 1997

Time of Sighting: 315:00 hrs Atlantic Daylight Savings Time

Location of Sighting: near Musquodoboit Harbour, Nova Scotia

Number of witnesses: 1

Number of objects: 1

Shape of objects: Two elongated box shaped objects with something that was connecting them looking like the letter H

Full Description of event/sighting: It was on a mild afternoon of Friday, October 24, 1997 at about 15:00 hours. Atlantic Daylight Savings Time   (19:00 hours G.M.T.) when suddenly something caught my eye, right over the right to center of  paved highway on Route #357,  just over the tree line gliding  silently,  making  no audible noise.  It was not an airplane, and Halifax International Airport is not a long way away, estimated to be about 30 kilometers away, as the crow flies, from where I was on this afternoon.

Prior to the sighting, the afternoon started out as any other normal day. I decided to take my son who had just turned four, only a month prior to this, and he wanted me to take him to the little park near the arena in Musquodoboit Harbour, where there are swings, teeter totters, monkey bars and slides.

We spent about a half hour at the park where he had a great time on the swings and slides. After we left the park, at about 2:30 p.m. , we set out to drive North on Route #357 to get some water at a fresh spring that percolates from the underground fed spring  and has a generous amount of fresh water supply that is located about 12 kilometers north of Musquodoboit Harbour.

On our way there, we stopped next to a large Stillwater along the Musquodoboit River, and I showed my son how to skip flat rocks over water. He attempted to try, but because of his age, he did not do too well that day, but gave it a great effort in trying.  He was having fun, and as long as he was having fun, so was I. I remember this day clearly, as this day is the same day as my mother’s birthday, but we were going to go down and see her the next day, as this was on a Friday.

After leaving the Stillwater where the Musquodoboit River runs right along side the paved road, we continued driving north where the community sort of stops and the houses built thin out, and there is the odd cottage that was built along this highway. There are many side roads to wood lots and lakes, and this area has many fresh water lakes peppered all along the Eastern Shore of Nova Scotia.

Approximately, 8 ½ kilometers from where Route #357 starts north from the intersection of Highway 7 in Musquodoboit Harbour, something caught my eye moving very slowly across the tree line ahead. I quickly pulled over to the shoulder of the road, and got out to get a better look. What I seen did not make sense!

This was no airplane. I never saw anything quite like it. It was box shaped, long and tapered on the front and there was another one, right beside it. Between the two box shaped crafts, there was a tunnel like thing joining the two long fuselages and from my vantage point, it looked like the letter “H”.

I would say that the altitude of this thing was no more than two hundred feet high, and only about 300 feet north of where I stood, slowly moving in an easterly direction.  The mid section of this fuselage had these ribbons like things hanging down from it.  I had my 4 year old son with me and I started getting a bit nervous, as  I was not sure what I was seeing and I feared for his safety.

I told him to stay seated and after watching this thing for about 40 seconds to perhaps a minute at the longest, it disappeared out of site blocked out by the tree line.

To this day, I don’t know what it is that I seen.  It was large, based on the surroundings, and width of highway, and with my working background in Land Surveying and often using triangulation to determine approximate distances, I would estimate the length of this craft to be about 180 to 200 feet long and between 40 to 50 feet between the two fuselages.

There were no wings that I could see, and the sky had scattered clouds and sunshine.  I seem to recall what appeared to be a greenish mist around this thing before it disappeared from the tree line.  It made no noise, and glided slowly, guesstimate at about 5 knots more or less.  I recall getting back in the truck and driving up the road a bit further where there was a turn in the road to see if I could get another glimpse of this thing, but I could not find it any longer.  I recall looking to the Northwest and seeing what appeared to be a Dash 8 plane going in a NW direction toward Halifax International Airport which was not too far away.

I know that my mind could certainly make out the planes that I am familiar with that fly in and out of Halifax Airport.  What I seen a few minutes previously, was not an airplane.  It was not a helicopter, and had no wings or propeller blades that I could see, and it was silent, so what was propelling it.

When I got home, I told my wife about it and told some of my friends, but I did not call any authorities and did not tell too many people about it, outside of my immediate family and friends.  When telling my sister in-law about it a few days later after I saw this thing, she mentioned that a number of people reported seeing strange lights in the sky further down the Eastern Shore during the night time hours that same week, and apparently it went on for a few days.  There were I believe some military (navy) exercises for NATO forces doing beach landings that same year, but do not remember if it was during the same time I had my sighting or not.

It was years later when I went into the Casebooks form, another member there urged me to post my sighting and tell others about it.  I guess that I waited for almost 8 years before telling others about it, as I feared ridicule and did not want the media  to come hounding me, as the only thing that I have, is the sighting  etched in my memory and can not show any other supportive evidence to collaborate my story.

It basically amounts to my word and if others want to choose to believe or disbelieve it.  But I know what I saw, and no one can ever change my mind; it was something flying in the air that I have never seen before or since.  In doing some online investigations on looking for others who have seen similar craft, there are possibly sightings in Ireland and another in Quebec, Canada.  One thing that I would not be able to answer, was it an earth based craft, or something from outer space.  I don’t think that I could ever answer that question, but I do know, it was not a standard type aircraft that normally flies in our skies, and I have never seen anything like it before that day, or since that day.

Thank you to the witness for the very interesting report.

Black Triangle UFO Sighting Outside Of Stockton Alabama (Graphics/Maps)

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  April 25, 2002

Time:  Approximately 10:15 p.m.

Brian, here is the information on the Black Triangle sighting which occurred on April 25, 2002 just outside of Stockton, Alabama. This area for the most part is quite rural. At the time of the sighting I was living in Rabun, Alabama and worked for a man in Stockton.

The road which runs between Rabun and Stockton, County Rd 94, also known as "Maytower Road" has an old fire tower on it and I guess that's where the naming comes from. This is a road well known to me as I traveled it every day to and from work for 10 years. Also a friend of mine lived just off this road very close to the sighting location. Here is a map showing the Mobile, Alabama area.

I have highlighted three areas on this map. Satsuma, where I now live. Rabun, where I lived during the sighting, and Stockton, where the sighting took place. The next map shows a closer view of the sighting area, including Stockton and Rabun.

I was heading home that night out of Stockton and took the right turn on Co Rd 94 as I had so many times. The time was about 10:15 p.m. After proceeding about a half mile down the road I noticed a car had just turned off HWY 59 onto Co Rd 94 behind me.

Being in no hurry I knew the car would soon be on my rear as I was only going 45 and most run 55-60 on this rural country road. As I entered the curve the car was now a 1/4 mile behind me and closing.

Just as I started to enter the apex of the curve that's when the triangle, which was blocked by the overhanging trees,  came into view. The three lights were out of place. As many times as I have been around this curve there were never any lights there. I slowed my car to a crawl, rolled the window down, and hung my head out in amazement. I knew what it was instantly. The lights were like none I have ever seen. Such a pure white they were.

As I sat there in dis-belief this craft just slid right up to me at a speed of 40 mph(best guess) and slowed. Now the car behind me is on my tail so I pulled forward about 500 feet to Jay Road. Turning in Jay Rd I stopped and the car behind me took off. I guess they wanted no part of it. They had to have seen it. You couldn't miss it!

So here we are all alone, just the triangle and me. I'm sitting in my car hanging out the driver's side window just blown away by what I am looking at. The craft came to a complete stop at the apex of the curve and just sat there. A distance of about 500 feet from my location I watched it for what seemed like a lifetime but was really only about a minute to a minute and a half.

It appeared to be somewhere between 50-70 feet in length and made no sound. It looked to be about 30 feet above the tree tops. I can't say how thick it was due to the darkness and the craft's bright lights, which appeared to be 3-4 feet across in  size. They pointed down but no light reflected off the trees. It was quite strange.

After the 60-90 seconds passed that I had watched this thing I noticed a set of headlights coming down Jay road. The road which I am sitting on. So I decided I would back out into Co Rd 94 and move toward the craft. When I got about half the distance to it , the craft started to move. gaining speed until it disappeared. I continued back into Stockton trying to locate it but never saw it again.

The road which I sat on, Jay Rd, is the very road that my friend lived on. The car coming down the road toward me that night was coming from my friend's house. I did not find this out until the following day. The car coming down Jay Rd would not have been able to see the craft until they reached Co Rd 94, which at that point it was gone. I find myself looking back on this asking what would I have done differently?

Why didn't I get out in the curve and stop the car behind me? Why did I not wait for the car on Jay road to get to me and confront them? I guess because I was in shock just seeing this craft. So many others have seen it before but now its right in front of me. Clear thought was not an option at this point.

The next day I called my friend to asked if anyone there had see it. They did not. However there was the strange phone call that he received. It would seem that 2 days after this sighting my friend came home from work. He frames houses for a living. Upon arriving home he checked his telephone caller ID and found a strange number on it. Curious about it he dialed the number.

What he got was a FAA answering machine! He hung the phone up and that was the last of it. He never received any more calls from them. Soon after this sighting I bought a camcorder.

Never again would I see such a sight and not be able to capture it. I spent many nights after this sighting putting many miles on my car looking for it, but had no luck. Since then I have also bought several cameras. One being a D-SLR. This is my true account of what happened that night just outside Stockton, Alabama.

In closing let me state the following. Some people might think it would be so cool to see such an object up close as I did. It’s been 5 years since the sighting and not hardly a day goes by that I don't think about it.

It's not something that's easy to live with. Most people don't care to hear about something that they don't understand. So you are left to carry the memory around, alone. It’s like a curse. Just be careful what you wish for.

Thank you to the witness for the excellent report, maps and graphic.

Close Encounter With A Disc Shaped Craft/UFO Over Dayton Ohio (Telephone Interview/Graphic/Maps)

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

You can listen to the interview I did with Jim over his sighting and some others he also related. Please click on the following link. https://jmp.sh/InUIj8e

Date: July 1982

Time: 6:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2

Number of objects: 1

Shape of objects: Disc.

Full Description of event/sighting: To whom it may concern, I have had three UFO sightings in my life, all of them being daylight sightings. One when I was around eight years old, another when I was around 35 years old, but the one that I will describe is by far the very best. At the age of 26, I am now 50 years old.

It's been a long time since I made this sighting, but have visited the site approximately every other year to keep it fresh in my memory. The sighting occurred in the summer (July?) of 1982, in Dayton, Ohio within an approximate radius of four miles from Wright Patterson AFB.

I had just pulled up to a local watering hole after work (Filthy McNasty's was the name of the establishment, believe it or not) with my best friend who I worked/carpooled with. I am a tool design engineer and he is a tool and die maker. From our work experience, we both are very well trained in regards to knowing the size of things big and small.

Filthy’s is located approximately 300 yards from the great Miami River and about 100 yards from Rip Rap Road which parallels the river and lies between itself and the river. It basically sits in the middle of an abandoned field, surrounded by flat farm fields and woods.

The time was approximately 6:00 p.m., the weather was good, with a clear blue sky, with little or no wind. A typical, hot, humid, stagnant, miserable summer day in Ohio. (Can you tell how much I like the weather in Ohio)?

As I was saying, we had just pulled up in the parking lot with the car facing west. We got out and started walking north for about 100 feet to the entrance, when something (a movement/reflection?) to our left (south) caught both of out eyes at the same time.

At a distance of 100 yards (I have measured this) and at approximate height of 200 feet (we had trees in the foreground very close to the road that I have measured the height of, by comparing the objects height to the height of the trees which I feel confident of the height estimate) was a dull gray metallic round object. It almost looked like something out of a 1950's bad Sci-Fi movie.

Two pie pans stacked facing each other with a streamlined "dome" on the top side only. The object was directly over the road and following it's course north at a speed of approximately 35 miles an hour. I have also measured this with myself standing in the exact spot and my friend driving the car on the road (and vice versa) at various speeds. We both picked the speed of 35 MPH.

The object was approximately 35 to 40 feet in diameter, I was a draftsman at the time, and had several size/angles of ellipse templates at work. So the following morning we stood at a distance of three feet from a wall which I had taped all of these templates to.

With the object of this being to pick out what we thought the object looked like. Not only the size, but the projected angle (share/profile). We both did this by ourselves, without knowing what size or shape the other had picked.

To my surprise we both picked the same shape, and more to my surprise, we were within approximately 10% of picking the same size. By using a little trigonometry and knowing a few measurements I calculated the size. So unless I am fundamentally wrong with how I did my calculations, I am very confident of the size that I estimate.

We also parked a Ford F-100 pickup out on the road and both of us stood in the "spot" and compared the size of the truck on the ground with the size of the object in the air. We both agreed that the object looked between two and three times the length of the truck, and so knowing the length of the truck, it fit really well with my calculations.

After we first spotted the object, it continued going north, at the same speed, following the path of the road. There were no erratic moments, no change in altitude, or any increase/decrease in speed. We both watched it for approximately 3 to 4 minutes until it was lost to sight in the haze a little above the horizon. After the object was lost to sight we went inside and discussed what we saw over a few cold beers.

What strikes me as odd, is that we didn't talk that much about it that night or after that. Maybe we were/are still dumbfounded by what we saw. This is not an exaggeration, if I saw a pickup truck at that height and distance, I wouldn't be able to tell you it's license plate number, but I damn sure could tell you what color, make and model it was.

There is one other thing that we both thought was very strange. There is a beach volleyball court in front of Filthy's and know more than 75 yards from the road. I would guess that there were between 15 and 20 people playing at the time. The net runs north and south, so half the people were facing east and the other half were facing west, and would have had an even closer view of the object than we did. I can see the half facing east missing it all together, but Ill be damned if I can figure out why no one player facing west spotted it.

We were both watching them for some reaction but there was not so much as a word said. We both were so dumbstruck that we just stood there with our jaws hanging on the ground and didn't raise the alarm to anyone. In fact we didn't say anything at all to each other the whole time except at the very beginning when I said, "What the hell is that !

To the best of my knowledge, all info contained in this statement is accurate and true. I know a fair amount about UFOs and the quality of the sighting/people.

So I have to tell you, this was a sweet one. No mysterious lights at night, and some moron wearing an Indian headdress claiming that he was whisked away to Venus (Maybe you've seen the film clips of this guy).

You have a multiple witness sighting, well trained, credible professionals.

You have a distance of no more than 125 yards away, with perfect viewing conditions.

I wouldn't have even reported this, except for the fact that it's been nagging at me for almost 25 years now. Maybe it will help me get rid of some of the nag. Plus, I like reading about sightings, so maybe someone will find this interesting and enjoyable. Thanks for listening.

In this interview Brian Vike talked with a fellow who gave a awesome description of the Black Triangle UFO he observed. The size of this clip is 67.9 mbs and it is 45 minutes in length.
