Time:  1:50 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Grey Mountain road overlooking town.

Shape of objects: Very bright circular white light.

Full Description of event/sighting: My friend and I were driving down from a lookout on road just south of town. We were out trying to see the Northern lights and see the stars. We saw a few shooting stars and lots of satellites etc. As we were driving down the road, I stopped again because I wanted to see if the Northern lights were out. We got out and we're staring upwards, almost due north.

Then suddenly a very bright white light came through. It was like a perfect circle and was nothing like a shooting star. I doubt it could have been a meteor as there was no tail behind it, and unlike a shooting star, it didn't not seem to cross the sky, instead it grew very bright and was almost like it was coming right down on us.

Imagine someone shining a light down on you from a deck or patio as you stand underneath then extending their arm down so the light goes closer to you. This was very bright and moving slowly. It stopped for a bit and seemed to kind of hover, then started moving slowly westward. Then it disappeared as it had come. The light was very white and there was a ring of light around the object.

Like a halo almost. it appeared then became increasingly bright to where we had to shield our eyes for a second then stayed that way then slowly started moving and as it kept moving it disappeared. The whole thing lasted about 20 seconds.

I have no idea what it was and if anyone knows of any good, well documented UFO sites please repost this. I am curious if anyone else saw anything. Cheers.

UFO With Halo Around It Edmonton Alberta

Time:  10:50 - 11:15 p.m.

Location of Sighting: North Edmonton

Shape of objects: Round balls of light/halo.

Full Description of event/sighting: I went outside in the backyard with my girlfriend, behind our northwest Edmonton home at approximately 10:40 p.m.

We were looking up at the sky noticing what a clear night it was just as we do often. Around 10 minutes later I saw what at first looked like a star. It was in the south eastern sky. It moved at a pace that looked slower than a plane towards the northwest portion of the sky. 

I did a double take because there was no way it was a plane, it was way to far up. As we both watched, it went really fast and looked to be going up and almost disappeared from view, but it came back down and went slow again. Then it swerved to the right like a car passing another on the right side and then came back onto it's path.

It then continued until it came to a complete stop beside a star in the sky, in the north side of Edmonton. The colour was fainter than a star not so bright but when it was still it looked to have a halo around it and it seemed to be changing colours, we could see a blue golden yellow and red tint emanating from the outer edges.

Not too bright but definitely there. Almost like spots as the colours appeared then were gone. We continued to stare at this but we ran inside to get our son.  When we came back out with him, we could see it there still but no more colours or movement. 

As we were trying to point this out to our son, we saw another object the same. Moving in the same way and in the same direction, until it passed the other object to the west (left) and then disappeared from sight. 

We watched for movement from the first one for about 5 more minutes and nothing so we went into the house.  We were quite shaken and my girlfriend went back outside about 10 minutes later. 

She then called to us as there was another object again from the same direction doing the same thing until it disappeared out of sight.

Nanaimo British Columbia Canada Large UFO With Slight Blue Halo Around It

Time: 9:45 p.m. and 11:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Nanaimo B.C.
Number of witnesses: 3
Number of Objects: 2
Shape of Objects: Round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I went outside of my residence to have a cigarette when I spotted a large light overhead. It was about 10 times the size of any star or planet in the night sky. It was very bright white and had a slight blue halo around the light. It was traveling directly overhead towards Richmond or Delta BC on the mainland. My first thoughts were that it was a very large low flying jet or search helicopter. But, I soon realized that there was no detectable wind to blow away any sound waves and any sound of a jet engine or helicopter just did not exist.

I ran into my house and got my spouse to come outside. By the time we got back outside, the object appeared to be over the Georgia Straight somewhere between Nanaimo and Tsawwassen B.C. At that exact time my neighbor came outside to let his dogs out. We asked him if he could see what we are seeing or knew what it could possibly be. With some brief instruction to where the object was he too had no idea of what we were witness to. At that time the object began a slight movement from side to side as it traveled east south-east from Nanaimo.

We continued to watch the bright silent object until it appeared to be above the Tsawwassen ferry terminal or somewhere close to Mt. Baker Washington.

All of a sudden the object began to turn from the white/blue shade to a red shade. It also began to shrink to total invisibility within a span of 5 seconds.

The entire incident lasted approximately 3 minutes. My wife, my neighbor and myself stood totally speechless for at least 30 seconds while our brains collectively tried to rationalize what we just witnessed together. Unable to make any sense of the situation we all somehow just retreated back to our residences with the hair on the back of our necks standing up.

Shortly before 11pm that evening, after repeatedly checking the night sky every 10 minutes, I did go out for another cigarette with my spouse.

Looking east over the city of Vancouver a slight bit toward the north shore, we noticed a pulsing red light moving north. We watched this oddity for several minutes and witnessed it changing speed of travel multiple times. We watched again in awe for at least 5 minutes until it disappeared behind trees in front of our residence.

My spouse and I have no idea what we witnessed in the late evening of May 21st 2009. My neighbor refuses to speak of the event.
