The Seventh Holy Man By William Brazzel

Book Description:

The Vatican has been overrun, and many people have been murdered by Swiss Guards in St. Peter's Square. Attempting to understand the cause of this unbelievable event, Sean Carrol, an investigative reporter for the New York International News, undertakes the responsibility of investigating the circumstances surrounding this tragedy.

He is challenged as he attempts to understand the link between the ancient kingdom of Malar and the current-day events taking place in the Vatican. As the hierarchy within the Vatican takes extreme steps to complete a plan of secularizing the Catholic Church, many strange occurrences arise. Sean is perplexed as he attempts to secure clues that will answer the additional unexplained questions that have emerged during his investigation.

The involvement of some high-ranking officials within the Vatican raises more suspicion about the seriousness of the activities taking place within the church. Several deaths have been attributed to the progress of Sean Carrol's investigation and the potential threats to those in the Vatican hierarchy.

With the potential destruction of the Catholic Church at hand, there must be a revival of the seven holy men who represent the Seven Spirits of God. They provide the only means of protecting the church. In reality, even with their intervention, there is no guarantee that the church will be preserved.

About the Author:

William Brazzel has been the owner and president of a property and casualty agency located in New Jersey for the past 30 years. During this time he has dreamed of creating an original science fiction book that will be enjoyed by others.

His love of science fiction began in 1956 while he viewed a movie at Mount Calvary elementary school in Forestville, Maryland. This original movie "The Day the Earth Stood Still" made such an impression on him that he carried this love of science fiction throughout his life.

The book "The Seventh Holy Man" was created by William over an eight month period. He spent every moment possible researching and writing the story while at his home in Morris Plains, New Jersey. The time invested was huge; however, he believes that all Sci-Fi lovers will thoroughly enjoy this book.

Currently, William is planning his next manuscript. Like "The Seventh Holy Man", the new book promises to be clearly different from anything you have read before.

In The House of Leviathan - By Bestselling Author, B.D. Bruns

Recently, it seems the horror genre has been overrun with teen melodrama. Just google "why Twilight is bad" to get a sense of the disdain (my personal favorite is from The Oatmeal).

Bestselling author, B.D. Bruns wants to know, "what happened to just plain scary?"

In his new book, In The House of Leviathan, Bruns avoids the overdone teen drama and instead relies on classic gothic elements to create tension and terror.  “Mainstream horror has gone so mainstream that it isn’t scary anymore,” says Bruns. “Glittering teenage vampires aren’t even intended to be scary. But, classics like Bram Stoker’s Dracula, now that was terrifying. The difference is that Stoker embraced the unknown. I hope that readers of In The House of Leviathan find my embrace of the unknown to be equally thrilling.”

Set in an Italian paper mill during the 1860s , In The House of Leviathan follows Giuseppe, a humble man working in the mill, who witnesses Old Man Grapaldi summoning the Devil. Omens from the sea threaten the village and bizarre, violent happenings at their mill threaten his family. With their church rocked by inner turmoil and so many good men succumbing to dark secrets, Giuseppe himself must overcome his fears and his physical handicap to save his beloved sister.

Throughout the pages of In The House of Leviathan, readers can expect:

A reinvigoration of the classic horror and gothic genre.

Vivid imagery transporting readers to Italy’s exotic Amalfi Coast.

A connection between our greatest fictional thrills and the exotic history of the real world.

A throwback to masterfully built tension, believable characters with rich backgrounds and plot complexity informed by real world experiences.

Adventurer B. D. Bruns has traveled to over 50 countries to gather material for his bestselling books. He’s won 19 national and international book awards, including three national Book of the Year awards. Bruns’ first fiction book, The Gothic Shift (2014) won the International Book Awards Best Short Story Collection.

He also contributes to Yahoo Travel, BBC, CNN, The Daily Beast, and The Travel Channel.

Bruns’ travel adventures span from entering the Pyramids of Giza and swimming in the Panama Canal to climbing Mt. Kilimanjaro and touring Torture Museums in Estonia.

He has attended ceremonies from the descendants of cannibals in the South Pacific and has been consulted by a ghost tour in Malta. After residing in Dracula’s hometown for several years, Bruns moved to Las Vegas with his Romanian wife, where they live with two cats, Julius and Caesar.

The Seen And Unseen Dimensions Of Time

By Carisia H. Switala, MTS – Harvard University Divinity School

Author of Eternity’s Secret: What the Bible And Science Have to Say About Time.

I assume most people are aware of the recent “Voice of an Angel” story reported on the news about an 18-month old girl who was found alive in an overturned car 14 hours after it crashed in a Utah river.  The four police officers who rescued the little girl said they heard a woman’s voice calling out for help.  However, the girl’s mother died in the crash and there were no other people in the car.  The officers really believe something otherworldly took place.  Perhaps this story is a good example of the temporal and eternal dimensions of time merging together allowing the mother to call for help from the unseen dimension.

After years of research, I came to the realization that time is an elusive concept.  Most individuals believe that looking at their watch and hurrying to get to work on time is the extent to which this concept is relevant.  However, in my opinion, time is so much more than a measurement of sequential events.  For many years, philosophers and scientists have been trying to explain time.  The ancient Greek philosopher, Aristotle, believed that time is the measurement of change.  Whereas Sir Isaac Newton, an influential seventeenth century English physicist and natural philosopher, believed that space was a static container and time was an absolute flow. Newton hypothesized that absolute time exists independently of any observer and moves forward at a steady pace throughout the universe.  He also thought that humans perceive ordinary time as a measurement of objects in motion like the sun.

Saint Augustine, an early Christian theologian and philosopher, believed that time was only in the mind and a human invention that cannot be applied to the universe or to God. Augustine’s view was that God existed in a timeless void. However, as the human mind evolved into a thinking machine that applies science to philosophical questions, the idea of relativity introduced the opinion that time is a physical dimension governed by physical laws. This opened up a more expansive view of the world and the universe.

I believe that the ancient idea of eternity, endless time, is a very profound and complex aspect of the subject.  What seems like the passage of time in a changing world is but an illusion in a three-dimensional space.

It is difficult for humans to visualize space. The standard human experience of space can be described in terms of three dimensions: width, depth, and height. Once the fourth dimension of time is added to the equation, parallel dimensions and universes become a clearer possibility in a space-time continuum. This advancement in thought and knowledge reveals the endless nature of time and the continuation of life, defusing the idea of a timeless void. It is a perspective that views eternity as endless time, not the absence of time as Saint Augustine suggested.

We measure the passage of time in seconds, minutes, hours, and years, but this doesn’t mean that time flows at a constant rate. Just as the water in a river rushes or slows depending on the size of the channel, time flows at different rates in different places. Einstein believed that the past, present, and future all exist simultaneously. In other words, time is relative. So relativity makes it possible, with the proper technology, such as a very fast spaceship, for one person to experience several days while another person simultaneously experiences only a few hours or minutes.

After I delved into scientific theory, I discovered that the idea of parallel universes in quantum mechanics suggests that all possible quantum events can occur in mutually exclusive histories. These alternate, or parallel, histories would form a branching tree, symbolizing all possible outcomes of any interaction. If all possibilities exist, any paradoxes could be explained by having the paradoxical events happening in different universes. This concept leads to the conclusion that time travel is possible, and a time traveler should certainly end up in a different history than the one he or she started from. Hence, relativity and ancient notions of time variation and parallel universes are very similar.

My research into philosophy, theology and science inspired me to merge scientific and religious views about time into one reality of infinite time.  The Bible contains many time-centered passages and reveals eternity to humanity.  Science is also on the verge of discovering the possibility of opening up the fourth dimension of time in order to make breakthroughs in time travel.  When these two disciplines work together, who knows what incredible insights into the seen and unseen dimensions of the universe will be revealed.  The result will most likely be humanity’s inspiration to attain absolute knowledge of the mysteries of eternity.

The new paradigm of time I discerned is endless time. It encompasses the eternal dimension of the universe that allows for infinite life. This dimension contains the unending transformations of nonstop creation. And life doesn’t have to start in the temporal world in order to be infinite because life is eternal and therefore has no starting point. The illusions of the third dimension emanate from a static view of space and time where objects exist and events take place in a linear sequence.  Perhaps one day the next brilliant scientist will be able to mathematically prove the existence of eternity.

The Reluctant Psychic: A Memoir by Suzan Saxman

by Suzan Saxman, Perdita Finn

3.7 of 5 stars 3.70  ·   rating details  ·  20 ratings  ·  13 reviews

We all, as children, saw imaginary friends and heard monsters in the closet. But for Suzan Saxman, those friends and monsters didn’t go away—and they weren’t imaginary.

They were the dead who came to her from the time she was a little girl with urgent messages for the living. Raised in a house filled with secrets, she saw and spoke the truth as soon as she could talk, alarming the nuns in her convent school with her revelations and terrifying her own mother with her strange visions.

Each night she woke to see a man with no eyes watching her, and each day she kept watch by the window while her father was at work and Steve, her real father, a swarthy drifter, rendezvoused with her mother.

It was the 1960s in suburban Staten Island and she tried to hide it all, and be a daughter her mother could love.

Always skeptical of her tremendous gift, she struggled to come to terms with her calling even as she revealed the destinies of everyone, from housewives to hit men, stockbrokers to rock-and-rollers.

She could witness everyone’s future—everyone’s but her own. Why was she visited by angels and demons? Could she ever escape this strange fate? Where was her own soul mate?

Now Suzan tells the story of her journey and tries to make sense of her family’s buried secrets.

Through powerful readings of others’ destinies interwoven with compelling narrative, a reluctant psychic emerges from the shadows.

Stratford Ontario UFO Sightings Witnessed By Others

Date: Mid July and mid August 2010
Time: 2:00 a.m. in July then 8:00 or 9:00 p.m. in August

Location of Sighting: Stratford Ontario.
Number of witnesses: 2 each time.
Number of witnesses: In July, several in August, only one.
Shape of Objects: Triangular and round.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: In mid July of this year (2010), Myself and my girlfriend were camping at a local park where I have a seasonal trailer site. Everyone had gone to bed, so my girlfriend and I went for a stroll at about 2:00am. I was picking my guitar and I happened to look up and I saw a strange light moving irregularly. I said "look at that" and my girlfriend looked and simply stated WOW!

We walked to a darker area with less light and watched this light move slow, then accelerate quickly. It would make 90 degree turns in an instant, then do crazy things like a figure 8 for example and we watched this from 2:00am until sun up. While watching the rest of the sky using peripheral vision, I noticed movement again and we saw a very slow moving triangular light shape. It was moving very slow and sometimes would even come to a complete stop.

While we were watching the triangle, other smaller lights would move with it, or very fast light streaks would pass it very closely. After about 20 minutes, it disappeared so we went back to watching this other light.

Sometimes I would flick my lighter with my arm held high and the light seemed to react to it. At one point it even appeared to descend coming towards our location, then it would stop, then take off quickly to the right or left. This happened a few times. We watched this until the sun came up and this light was the last visible light in the sky as the sun rose.

In mid August, myself and my brother were returning from a friends house when we noticed a large, very bright light that appeared to be just hovering. It was quite a ways away and as we watched it grew even larger, then started to move then slowly fizzled out. We watched this thing for an hour and a half and it always appeared in the same place and did the same thing, sometimes it would rise quickly and then fizzle out as it fell.

On July 19, 2010 my band played at a Hawaiian Luau at my trailer park. Several people witnessed this quick event, including my band mates. We observed a bright light in the western sky and it looked like an airplane with it's landing light on, except it wasn't moving or didn't appear to be.

We watched it for 5 minutes or so, then it appeared to be moving towards us and it wasn't very high in the sky, between 100 or 200 feet. We were mesmerized trying to figure what this thing was, then we noticed how low it was. It was over the campground now and we could see a smoke trail and actually hear like a sizzling sound and closer up this thing looked like a kite that was on fire as it flickered like a fire.

We were right on the edge of the campground property and it was easy to see that no-one was flying a burning kite. As it came closer, it got really bright then slowly faded out and disappeared. We were all left scratching our heads and I heard many people ask, "what the hell was that?" To this day, we've had no explanation.

This is my encounter story, I know what I saw and it was very real and I am not embarrassed or ashamed to share it with anyone. My only regret is that we never got pictures or video and ever since then I keep my eyes peeled on the heavens at night whenever I can with digital camera and video recorder. I am a firm believer in what I saw and now firmly believe in other intelligent life. Thanks for the opportunity to report my sightings as it feels really good to get this off my chest without being ridiculed. Sincerely, (name removed) Stratford, Ontario.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Rutherford (By Edmonton) Alberta Two Lights In The Sky

Posted: April 19, 2009

Date: March 27, 2009
Time: Around midnight.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1-2
Shape of objects: Circular?
Weather Conditions: Clear, starry night

Description: I was getting out of my car to go take my girlfriend to her house when I saw two lights in the sky. They appeared to be about a few kilometers away. These lights were flashing different colours (mostly red and green) and they were both moving as if they were attached to a long object and that object was wobbling back and forth. After the sighting I dismissed it as my mind playing tricks on me, since I had been drinking a little earlier. Now last night I was talking to my girlfriend on the phone at night and she was looking out the window when she saw two lights. According to her these two light were flashing in green and red and were attached to an object that flew away from the ground and hovered over her house for a while then disappeared. Both sighting were made in the Rutherford village at night--time.

Parkland Region, Manitoba Witness Pursued By A Disc/Saucer Shaped UFO

Posted: September 11, 2008

Date: September 6, 2008
Time: 9:40 p.m.

Some clouds and some stars.
Object: Glowing white disc/saucer shaped craft.

It had been a rainy weekend off and on. I had just wrapped up helping my friend work on his home for the day. The sun was setting as I went in to the trailer for a quick supper before heading back to the lake, for a nights sleep.

I ate and had a quick visit and left at 9:30 pm. I had to stop and open up the gate on the property. I then drove through and shut the gate..As I got back into the truck and shut the door. I had a strange feeling come over me.

I turned the heater onto high as I suddenly felt very cold. I shifted the truck into gear and started heading north. The gravel road was a winding one that had the trees and bushes that were slowly creeping in, taking it over. It was wilderness around the area and no human eyes for miles. Yet as I was driving..not 15 seconds into the 6 mile trip, I had a feeling..that I was being watched. It made me feel very uneasy and uncomfortable.

The feeling was out of the blue! There was nothing that should make me even think of any eyes on me except for the wild life that live there, in the Parkland region.

I could not shake the feeling as I drove along..every hill and curve, I expecting anything ..but nothing. I thought to myself, "boy, am I ever being funny tonight" as I still couldn't get rid of the feeling of being watched. I was going as fast as I could. My speed very limited as the curves and hills kept me from the true speed I wanted.

All I wanted was to get back to the lake and in the cabin to a fire and sleep.

I finally made it to a more "recognized" and used gravel road and turned onto it, now heading west.

It was immediate. There was a bright white light behind me. I saw it in my mirror. It was well above the ground. My first thought was a light on a post. It was not though, there was no light pole anywhere. I was startled and my heart quickly sped up. I had a feeling inside that I knew it was them. I stepped on the gas peddle and accelerated.

The light stayed with me and then quickly got closer. I went over a hill and hoped that it would not follow, but it continued to follow me.

I did feel somewhat safe in a vehicle that was moving, but knew in the back of my mind that it really would not make one bit of difference.

The glowing object continued to follow at an approximate 50 yard distance. I could see it in my side mirror. My whole body becoming alive with adrenaline and that feeling of perception aware on guard. The craft continued on to the next mile, my heart racing and thoughts erupting as a fear had some grip.

The object suddenly disappeared.

I still felt the same and was not relieved, but very much on edge now. Wondering where it went, I was sure it was not gone.

I traveled for about ten seconds since the object had vanished. Then suddenly there it was, to the left of me. It lit it up bright. The white object was traveling beside me. It was not to far away, maybe 40 yards. It lit up, then after one to one and half seconds it went out. It was about 4 or 5 seconds later when the object lit up all white light again.

The object appeared to be..an almost stubby looking disc saucer type craft. At least that was the shape of this white lit object. I really do not know if that was the actual object. I am assuming it was, as it was fairly big and not something that could be mistaken for anything else.

The whole place was so dark, so black and every 4 to 5 seconds this object kept on lighting up for one to one and half seconds. It stayed beside me for the rest of my trip west. It was just above the trees and keeping pace. I was a mile from home at the lake and turned north. The object discontinued. It flashed one more then that was all.

I still wanted to get inside the cabin and it was not until 5 minutes after seeing the last flash, that I made it inside.

I really don't think that it is something that can be just tossed aside, but I really was not one for thinking more on it. The feeling of being watched was gone as I sat on the couch beside the wood stove and watched it turn red.

Exhausted from the work and the adrenaline wearing off. My mind now finally clear, I slept.

Thank you to the witness for their report.
