The Castle Project: Denver’s Haunted Mansion

Did Someone Say Halloween?

Coming to DVD and Digital Platforms (VOD) on October 1, 2013

Los Angeles, CA (September 25, 2013) – Would you buy a  haunted house if it came on the market? Despite a colorful history involving tales of Satanism, mysterious deaths, eerie noises and ghostly sightings, architect Brian Higgins and business partner Travis McAfoos were compelled to purchase the 19th century Croke-Patterson mansion in Denver, Colorado. The Castle Project: Colorado’s Haunted Mansion is their odyssey into the paranormal as they renovate the stately brick mansion into a bed & breakfast. The documentary film will be available on DVD and VOD platforms on October 1, 2013, just in time for Halloween!

The building’s most notable haunting activity occurred during the 1970’s when the dwelling was undergoing renovations to convert it into office space, which some believed to have disturbed the spirits. After completing work, the construction crews would return the following day to find their work from the day before, undone.  After several instances, the contractor purchased a pair of Doberman Pinschers as guard dogs.  Soon after, the workers arrived to find the dogs lying dead on the sidewalk after jumping from a closed third floor window.

It wasn’t long into the more modern renovations that architect Higgins’ crew started to notice some odd occurrences and he picked up a camera, resulting in his directorial debut. “Once I had read all the stories on the Internet of the Croke-Patterson Mansion, I realized that somebody needed to make a movie about this.  It seems like every past owner I came in contact with had a story to tell.  Could there possibly be any truth to these stories?” says director Brian Higgins.

At the outset, Higgins set up a camera doubtful of discovering anything. After the discovery of a dead, mutilated cat followed by workers who claimed to have seen of ghostly apparitions, he moves into one of the upstairs bedroom, by his lonesome while the camera records.  Soon, bats are appearing from nowhere and he hears whispering voices through the halls.  And then there’s an unexplained fire.  Is the house really haunted?

Architectural clues and artifacts found within the walls and foundations allude to a very “otherworldly” blueprint and soon the paranormal investigators and spiritual experts are brought in to investigate.

 Synopsis:

The historic Croke-Patterson Mansion in Denver, Colorado was long-rumored to be haunted by the cries of babies buried in the basement. The original owner built the Chateauesque-style home in 1891 and lived there for six months before falling victim to the Silver Crash of 1893. Ill fortune visited upon subsequent owners during the 120-year‐long history of the house as they experienced otherworldly phenomena that included apparitions, whispering voices, peculiar odors, failed exorcisms and guard dogs jumping through windows to their death.

When architect Brian Higgins and partners purchase the home for renovation, they are skeptical of the home’s tragic past. But soon workers begin to experience sightings of ghostly children, unusual temperature changes and whispering voices. Workers fall ill and one team member dies while an unexplained fire threatens the project’s completion. Paranormal investigators are brought in and they identify several generations of spirits who remain trapped in the house.

Higgins had the foresight to begin filming, and after several hair‐raising nights spent alone in the building he began to wonder if there was a reason why souls never checked out at the Croke‐Patterson Mansion.

UFO Sighting Over Nat Bailey Stadium In Vancouver British Columbia Canada (Video Footage/Hoax)

The internet is running wild over a alleged sighting of a UFO seen at Nat Bailey Stadium In Vancouver British Columbia Canada. Video footage and still pictures were taken of the craft. Turns out it was nothing more than a hoax. The H.R. MacMillan Space Centre is trying to attract attention to the new and improved centre.

So a marketing scheme this turned out to be.

No real UFO flying that day in the area, just a model craft which appeared to look exactly like the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre.

Saucer Shaped UFO Hovering 150 Feet From The Ground At Yorkton Saskatchewan

(From Brian Vike’s UFO Files) Posted by Brian Vike.

Date:  Summer of 1962
Time:  2:00 a.m.

Brian Vike Note: If someone happened to see this back in the Summer of 1962 in or around that area, would you let me know please as I will forward the information along to the fellow who sent the report into me.

Brian, Ok, I'll give it to you in a nutshell. The sighting happened at 2:00 a.m. on a clear night in the Summer of 1962 (I was 15).

The 3 of us were parked on the edge of town talking about nothing after cruising around Yorkton, Saskatchewan. None of us drank or did drugs in those days (a lot of guys we knew, did ).

The driver was 16, the other friend was 14. We were sitting in his 57 dodge 4 door (big front windshield) when we noticed an object hovering real high above and a tad to the front/left of us.

All of a sudden it came straight down to a height I estimate would be 150 feet (300 feet away from us on the angle we were watching it, a bit ahead and to the left of straight ahead of us).

No noise was heard at any point during this sighting. It hovered motionless for a approximately a minute, then left horizontally in a speed that was in a instant. All we saw was the blurry fuzz of the Alien Space Craft to determine the direction it went.

The craft was not glowing, but it had 4 dull glowing lights at the bottom. We were scared all the while we watched it. After it left, we reported it to the RCMP in Yorkton in person, which was about 2 miles from where we were parked, and they laughed at us.

Here is a depiction of the Alien Space Craft we saw and the angle we watched it at.

Thanks for your reply! PS, you can use this report any way you want just in case you want to send it to somebody else. I don't mind.

John Tosti Story - Alien Contact In Bloomington Indiana (Video Clips/Pictures/Audio)

(From Brian Vike’s UFO Files) Posted by Brian Vike. Also this is a very, very long report, I have added video clips/images and audio to the report.

A message to John’s Mother, I am sure you will read the report and view the clips on your son. A while back we were emailing back and forth, and I have no idea what happened to your emails, mainly you email address. If you would be kind enough to send me another email this would be great, you can send it to me, at sighting@telus.net. I have something I need to discuss with you.

Thank you and look forward in hearing from you again.
Brian.

John Christopher Tosti: Born 1-21-70 - Died 3-24-2011 (UFO/Alien Abductee)

I bring sad news this evening, Mr. John Christopher Tosti passed away on March 24, 2011 leaving behind loved ones, friends and folks who cared about John. I myself met John only through emails and our telephone calls we made to one another.

I found John to be an intelligent man who loved his family dearly. John contacted me in hopes of finding some answers, or to tell someone about his ongoing experiences with unidentified flying craft, and his alien abduction, which troubled him for years after the experience.

My regret was not meeting John in person as he and I would have had lots in common, and we would have hit it off straight away.

John leaves behind a wealth of information in a report I wrote up on what had been happening to him and what he and his family were observing. I did have everything posted at an old website I owned and operated, but I did sell the website and now much of the photos and video is not posted. I do have everything here, but it was packed away with all UFO material a couple years ago.

Brian Vike’s Note: It was hard hearing about John’s passing as he was still a young, kind man, but I then was told that about a year later, John’s wife passed away on Wednesday, November 24, 2010. Both John and Susan will be greatly missed by family and friends.

Deep Cove North Vancouver British Columbia Possible UFO Caught On Film (Picture)

Brian Vike is retired from the UFO field. This report and photo is being posted as a favor to the fellow who sent it in. Anything in the way of sightings, I forward them on so the cases can get looked into.

UFO HOAX Drummed up by H.R. MacMillan Space Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia

This sighting turned out to be nothing more than a HOAX. The sad part about this is, the people who put this hoax together were from the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre in Vancouver, British Columbia.

It is pretty bad when a great place such as the H.R. MacMillan Space Centre pulls something like this to drum up business. When I lived in Vancouver, B.C. I spent much of my time at the H.R. MacMillan Planetarium as it was named many years ago.

An astronomer I got to know even brought my large telescope in through the Planetarium. So for me, this is rather sad, it isn’t the end of the world of course, just sad to see a place such as this do something so stupid.

They even sent the photo and report directly to me for posting, which I did. But when I later replied to them about this being a hoax after the news brought out the story on it, no one had the decency to reply. That ticked me off.

Time:  Approx: 8:13 p.m.

Hi, my name is (removed). I was wondering if you'd post my UFO sighting on your blog. I recently saw the attached sighting in Deep Cove, while looking at the Deep Cove Kayak Club weather camera.

As I was checking a local weather camera for the Deep Cove Kayak Club, I noticed that there was an object floating off in the distance. It looked relatively large and had a distinct shape to it.

Picture Left: View from the rental store, overlooking Deep Cove. Monday August 26, 2013 at 8:13 p.m

It also had a dim, white glow to it. I've never seen anything like it. By the time the next camera image loaded, the UFO was gone. The shape was too defined for it to be the product of a strange camera flare. It had to be a UFO.

The image is attached. Thank you for taking the time to look it over. Please respond to me to let me know what your thoughts were on this sighting.
