And Then There Are The UFOs

Posted: March 18, 2009

UFO sightings shot up to more than 1,000 a year across Canada in 2008, an increase of 26 per cent over the previous year.

In the Bulkley Valley, this trend has been followed closely by Brian Vike, a prominent ufologist based in Houston. Numerous incidents have been reported in the region he said, including a “major” incident at Granisle in the middle of February.

Southeast Manitoba Canada Two Horizontally Oriented Rectangles

Posted: March 16, 2009

Date: May 10, 2008
Time: 10:40 p.m.

Location of Sighting: SE Manitoba.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 2
Shape of Objects: Rectangular.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was in a campground in southeast Manitoba between the villages of Sundown and Piney, roughly 10 km. from the US border (Minnesota) when I looked to the southeast and saw 2 horizontally oriented rectangles fairly close together, one above the other. They were a bright white with no other colours evident. They appeared to move in unison in a roughly circular fashion; that is, not in a continuous circle, but moving haphazardly in a space in the sky that occupied roughly the size of my outstretched fist. This continued for several minutes. At that time the objects merged and became one. There were no obstructions to my view such as tree branches or leaves...they clearly merged in a split second and became simply one rectangle. After several minutes they split and became 2 again. There was no sound at all and it's impossible to guess their distance from my location, but I'd guess it was more than a few miles at minimum. After 10 to 15 minutes of watching I turned in for the night, but it's something I'll never forget. I've since become a member of MUFON, and posted the sighting on one of their talk forums. I've yet to hear of a similar sighting at any time or any place.

I contacted Chris Rutkowski, Manitoba's go-to guy with regards to UFOs and said a friend had suggested possibly the US government was deploying silent drones near the Canada-US border. Chris said the only drones at that time might have been near the US-Mexico border.

I've been following the subject of UFOs for years, read many a book on the subject and believe I know the difference between what I saw and objects in everyday life. It was NOT the moon, any aircraft known to man nor any star or planet. I don't believe shooting stars, meteors or meteorites exhibit this kind of behavior, nor would any space station or satellite. Have you ever heard of similar sightings from southeast Manitoba or northwest Minnesota, or from anywhere, for that matter?

Thank you to the witness for their sighting report.

Strathroy, Ontario, Canada Seven Triangular Shaped UFOs

Posted: March 16, 2009

Date: March 15, 2009
Time: 9:45 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Strathroy, Ontario, Canada.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 7
Shape of Objects: Triangle.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I was taking my dog outside and was in my backyard. It was a clear night and I had been out for a few minutes when something caught the corner of eye in the sky. I looked up and saw 7 triangle shaped lights. They were bigger and brighter than the stars. 3 of the 7 triangle lights actually formed a triangle shape and the 4 remaining were formed in a straight line horizontal to the triangle shape the other 3 had formed but below it a bit. There was no noise and they glided across the sky and then suddenly faded. Just before they faded I noticed that the 4 lights that had been horizontal to the 3 that formed the triangle moved up closer to the same level as the triangle shape. It lasted approximately 10-15 seconds. It was nothing I had ever seen before and the shapes of the lights were distinctly triangle and bright.

Thank you to the witness for their sighting report.

St. Philip's Newfoundland Night Turns Into Day (Another Witness)

Posted: March 14, 2009

Date: March 3, 2009
Time: Approx: 9:30 p.m.

I have also seen this light and since have tried to contact some experts/researched about electricity in the atmosphere because of what I've seen, that's what I gathered from it. No thunder. No Noise. Just a big "bang" of light that flickered for a few seconds as lightning would.

I live in St.Philip's Newfoundland a couple minute drive from St.John's. I was sitting over my dad as he was on the computer and a window is to my right. Out of the corner of my eye I seen a big flash of light, almost turning the outdoors into day but with a hue of blue. Lasted only for a few seconds. I asked my father did he see it, but he was too into the computer to even respond. So I passed it off as maybe some lightning..as odd and random as it was.

It wasn't until the next morning when my boyfriend from Bonavista asked me "did you see the flash of light" that I started to get really interested. He and many others could see it as far out as there!? Over three hour drive away. I thought that was a little impossible.

My research turned up with out answers only "assumptions" of what it may have been. My mother reported from some co-workers that it was a blue light/flash, there were a number of reports saying that the blue light also faded to pink. I would love to know what it actually was, I'm very curious about it but that is all of the info I have.

Thank you to the witness for their sighting report.
