Port Alberni, British Columbia 9 Silver Objects Moving In Formation

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: 1979 Time: 11:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Port Alberni BC. Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 9 Shape of objects: Spherical.

Full Description of event/sighting: Hello Brian. One summer night in 1979 over looking the Port Alberni Canal I looked at the mountain out line against the night sky and I saw 9 silent, looked like silver dots moving in formation from east to west alone the top of the mountain. Of course taking a harder look I realized this was nothing I had ever seen before. I quickly ran inside to tell three others that were there what I had seen and to come see. By the time we got outside they were gone. The only reason I'm telling you this so late is because I see that there are others telling their stories of sightings and to not tell what I personally witnessed would be wrong when these accounts mean so much to the truth.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Cape St. George, Newfoundland Beams Of Light & Hovering Objects

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: Summer - Late 1970s Time: Evening

Number of witnesses: 3 Number of objects: 2 Shape of objects: Circular, disc shaped.

Full Description of event/sighting: There were many UFO sightings in the Port au Port Peninsula area one summer in the late 1970's (about 1977). Balls of fire and beams of light were the more common sightings. I was about 12 years old and my parents (Basil and Theresa) went to Ship Cove that night to another couple's home (Pat and Valerie) to specifically look for UFO's. Many balls of fire were seen flying just above ground level over the past week or so.

My uncle (Nick) and a friend also saw a beam of light shining down over "The Passage" in Ship Cove where some sheep were herded. They were so frightened that they ran all the way home and were white as a sheet.

My sister, myself and our cousin (Frank), who was babysitting us and our other 2 younger siblings, were looking South over St. George's Bay using my dad's binoculars. Hovering about 1 kilometer away over the bay, several hundred meters over the water were 2 series of lights; both were similar but 1 seemed farther away (smaller). The UFO's were a series of 10 - 12 lights that were changing colors progressively from reds to oranges to yellows to blues, from left to right. I could not make out the exact shape of the objects. It looked like a flattened disc with round lights that were rotating around the outer perimeter. The objects hovered in place and did not appear to move. We all looked at them for about 15 minutes or so until we got bored and gave up.

That same night, where my parent's were, Valerie apparently fainted when she saw a fireball in her backyard.

Thank you to the person for this very interesting report.

Amherstview, Ontario An Enormous Round Space Craft Hovering Above Us

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: Fall 1979 Time: Evening

Hello, My younger brother has encouraged me to write you and tell you of my 'sighting' that happened way back in 1979?, when I was 16 years old?. So here it goes:

I was a teenage girl and I lived in Amherstview, Ontario. (just a small sub-division west of Kingston, Ontario along Lake Ontario.) It was Fall, as I remember the air being chilly and it was really windy and the leaves were blowing off the trees as we walked. My girl friend and I, had eaten supper and were on our way to the stores to 'hang-around' with our friends. We'd just left my house, walked up our street hill, went through a fenced pathway and were walking towards the park. (South towards Lake Ontario, you can see the Lake across the highway from where I was.) I was listening to her talk and was watching the ground as I walked, thinking I wished I had of stayed home because it was chilly out. Then the weirdest feeling came over me, everything went silent (accept her) and this big shadow came over top of us. I was filled with fear to look up, as I knew something was above us.

I looked up and saw it, I was stunned for a minute, in shock! I looked around us then, (there's a row of the 'backs' of houses up on a hill backing unto the park). I could see a family eating their supper around their kitchen table, I thought 'turn around you idiot's, look at this'. I could see the trees still blowing, but where I stood, everything was still. I then stopped, and my friend stopped talking by then too and she was looking up in amazement, (her mouth dropped open). Above us was an enormous round space craft? It was huge and it covered the whole park and was just above the trees and it made no noise at all. I like to describe it as being a Mica colour, (like the rock called Mica), almost iridescent or glowing. There was a dome like 'belly' in the middle that was a darker colour and all along the top of it were red blinking lights, digital lights, like on a digital clock, you know?

This flying craft was actually 'hovering' over us, as though it were looking at us while we stood stunned looking at it. Then the silence was broken with my friend letting out the most deafening scream. She started running towards the lake and I didn't know what to do, so I ran behind her. That's when I noticed the aircraft was moving slowly now also in the same direction we were running and I came to my senses. "My friend, I yelled, turn around, where are you going?, turn around, lets run back, she finally turned around and we started running back towards the pathway's to my house. The flying craft kept going towards the lake but extremely slow. My heart was just pounding with excitement and I was running as fast as I could because I figured I could show it to my parents before if flew out of sight. My friend was in hysterics, bawling and crying and totally out of breath when we reached my house.

I plowed through our kitchen door and convinced my parents to come out in the backyard. Dad, Dad, I seen a flying saucer, Dad come here, quick! Look, do you see it??? See the red lights?? Do you see them?? Well that's 'all' both my parents were able to make out, was the red lights flashing. (As by then the craft was through the park across the highway and over Lake Ontario just to the left of Fairfield National Park).

My Father then decided to call Kingston's Airport and ask if anything was 'flying' at the moment in that area. (as the Airport is in that direction). We figured they must be able to see it out there window, but the guy on the phone said, "He doesn't see anything, and nothings in that area, that maybe your daughter saw a star twinkling, sometimes people mistake stars for UFO's". (What a jerk). Then he also called the local radio station to see if anyone else reported anything unusual, but they said "Nope", and hung up.

It was quite the experience and I'm still trying to talk myself out of what I saw because how could that be? For several years later, I experienced some weird dreams which I blamed on the 'experience.' One where I'm in this bright room standing alone and above me are 2 men with pale white skin and big dark eyes and wearing long ivory robes, they are standing on some balcony, peering at me over a railing of some kind. They don't speak, but I know what they're saying. One is a 'good' man and one is mean, the good man demands for them to release me 'because she's one of the good ones', but the mean man is not too pleased about the decision to release me, then I wake up! The other dreams are pretty scary, of 'them' attacking earth and so on.

Well I hope you 'believe' my story, I'd be willing to take a lie detector test. As for my friend, I've lost contact with her over the years after that night things weren't the same with us. She, for instance, told me she never wants to discuss this 'flying' thing ever again, and if I tell anyone and they ask her, she'll deny seeing anything. (I don't understand why she wouldn't want to discuss it. Who cares what others think, I know I'm not crazy. I know what I saw and I will never forget it!

Sincerely.

Thank you to the witness for the interesting report.

Bay St. George, Newfoundland RCMP Witness To UFO Sighting

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: December 1978 Time: 11:00 p.m.

On the way to a movie my girlfriend and I saw several shooting stars over the town. On the way home we decided to pick up a Pizza. We parked behind the S'ville Plaza towards Bay St. George and the Airport when I noticed a bright light with very distinctive colored lights that appeared to be rotating around the main body. At first we mistook it for the search tower light at the Airport. Upon further studying it, we realized that the tower search light was located quite a distance away and that this object was definitely hovering over Bay St. George, as we could see the lights from it reflecting on the ocean close to Indian Head. We thought that we were looking at a helicopter, but thought that it was odd, especially when it dropped what seemed to be fireballs into the ocean which would go out upon impact. At that point we decided to report the sighting to the RCMP.

A constable from the West St. Division reluctantly came outside where I showed him the object that was clearly visible and had clearly gained altitude (I could see it above the house next door's roof, it wasn't visible from that same point moments earlier. He went inside and said, "Hey guys, do you want to see a UFO?" At that point at least 4-5 more officers came outside. One officer said, "I wouldn't believe this if I wasn't seeing it!" Another said I'm calling ground control at the Airport and the Radar Station as well as Corner Brook. We drove back to the Plaza and watched for another approx: 30 minutes and went back to the RCMP Station to find out more. The officer said that they were laughed at by Corner Brook and by the S'ville Airport staff as there were no aircraft, weather balloons etc. in the area. I said well it worried me that this object was dumping something into the Bay.

The officer said that they would go to the Airport and show personnel there, as the object was still low and possibly not visible because of the height of the hangers. We followed the RCMP to the Airport, they stayed for approx: 1 hour and returned to the detachment. I worked my first job as an Accountant at Shoppers Drug Mart and told my fellow workers about the ordeal.

I was confident that the papers would show something, but after 2 weeks of nothing I phoned the Detachment and was told that it was not reported to media because they did not want to be bombarded with telephone calls as had been the case with another NL detachment who went to press and even sketched an object that seemed very similar to the one I reported. I phoned the RCMP Stephenville Crossing Detachment about 1992 to see if they had anything on file about the report, and left a voice message describing the incident. I was very surprised when I received a call less than an hour later saying that they did not retain records that far back ?

Thank you to the witness for the interesting report.

North York, Ontario The Object Was Saucer Like In Structure

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: Around the Summer of 1978 Time: Approx: 6:00 p.m.

I was around 12 years of age and old enough to know better (1978 approx). Living in a apartment complex on the corner of Don Mills and Van Horne Avenue in North York Ontario, myself and a bunch of kids had finished our dinner and as usual ran outside to enjoy the last few hours of the day we had.

This particular evening was warm, it was summer time, the sky was clear and the time was approximately 6:00 pm, remember the position of the sun.

I noticed something a object coming down from the sky, once myself and the other kids realized this was not a plane we gathered to a fence that was around the parameter of the building so we could get closer.

The object in the sky came as low as the height of 3 apartment buildings (I remember studying the building while the craft was hovering). Peering up at the object that was hovering had pulsating lights around it. The object was saucer like in structure, and the bottom center had a bit of a budge. The metal was shinny and was purely metal from what I could see. Of course could not see the top of the craft, we were basically not far from being underneath the craft. It hovered for what seemed like eternity and though I don't know if time stopped because I ran to the intercom of the building, buzzed my parents who were entertaining friends and they couldn't make out what I was saying, also my parents balcony was on the other side of the apartment building. I then ran to the superintendents window and no one was home.

As I ran back to where the other kids were, the craft hovered and moved sideways a few times. We ran across the street in order to get closer underneath the craft (crazy eh!), then all of the sudden the craft started to move a little more and lifted off straight out of the atmosphere with speed that was unbelievable.

I have to note further up the street is a heavy area of hydro transformers beside Seneca College.

I have always wondered if others saw the craft in this area and if there were any documentation of a craft hovering in the same area.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Towards Aylmer, Ontario Cylinder And Black Dot Observed

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: July 22, 1978 Time: 1:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Eastern sky driving towards Aylmer. Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 2 Shape of objects: Cylindrical, and white, tiny black circle.

Full Description of event/sighting: We were driving admiring the white clouds in the blue sky, when an object caught my eye. It looked like a flat cloud, it was sitting totally still. I told my boyfriend to look, because it looked kind of weird. We were both staring at it when it just completely vanished, we both let out a big whoa, then right where it vanished was a tiny black dot that was moving around behind a cloud, at which time the dot disappeared and the cylinder reappeared. It vanished again, and that was it.

Sudbury, Ontario Two Strange UFOs

Posted: December 27, 2007

Received Report: February 7, 2007

Date: Late 1970's Time: Evening

Back in the late 1970s I personally seen two objects in the west sky. It was at night. My husband and I had just went to bed. I told my husband that I had a strong feeling of being watched. I had to go to the window and look out. Knowing that it was impossible for anyone to be there, because there's only a field outside our second story bedroom window! What I saw was two lights, motionless and no sounds. I called my parents, so they can witness it too. Then, the two objects flew left towards south, stopped for a split second. Then again, with lightning speed. They took off further into the west sky. Only to disappear into thin air. I will never forget this experience. Thank you for your time.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Hamilton, Ontario Round Or Circular Object

Posted: December 27, 2007

Date: Nov--Feb? 1977 Time: 17:30-20:00

Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Round or circular

Full Description of event/sighting: I was 9 or 10 years old when I was walking through a alley at approx: 6 or 7:00 p.m. ( I'm sure of this time frame as it was after dinner). As I was walking I looked up in the sky. (for no apparent reason) I was looking at all the stars in the sky on this clear night when I saw something that has puzzled me for almost 30 years. I glared at an object that was approx: 500 feet higher than the large oak trees that it had hovered and traveled and past from the south. This object was round in shape with lights that wrapped around it. I would have to say the size of this object was as big as Niagara Falls in diameter and height. As I stared in astonishment the object came to a complete stop over the tree's.

All that was moving at this time was the lights on this thing and my shivering body. Although I was young I new I was witnessing something with a much greater intellect than ours. I new even at that age, airplanes make noise. Blimps don't fly in the dark, hot air balloons don't fly in the dark and weather balloons don't have florescent lights. This object was completely silent. This object also came to a complete stop directly over me for about 2 minutes then flew over the QEW heading over to the Burlington Skyway eventually out of my sight. I went home shortly after to tell my family of this encounter and was disappointed that no-one believed me. The next day at school (BELL CARIN)I told a couple of class mates of my encounter and to my relief my friend had said he saw the same thing while he was sitting in his tree fort.

I often wonder about that night and have thought about undergoing hypnosis to narrow down the exact date and time so I can go to the Hamilton to see if there was other reports of this sighting. I know there has to be other witnesses from the vehicles on the highway that would have seen this.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Sarnia, Ontario Huge Dull Orange Sphere Shoots Into The Sky Then Stops

UFO Sighting, August 1977

Joe Dietrich & passenger.

It was barely a month past my 30th birthday, early August 1977, I was dining out with friends in a favorite downtown Buffalo NY restaurant. Time was running out for me in Buffalo for in a few weeks I would be heading to Key West Florida to begin a new life. But on this particular summer night I was to make a journey that was destined to become one of my life's most memorable experiences.

I have made this trip several times so it's a fairly predictable route from Buffalo NY to Flint, Michigan, no surprises. This was to be my last visit with my mom and sisters knowing we probably wouldn't see each other for many months. I wanted to get an early evening start out of Buffalo, but dinner with friends went quite late so I didn't hit the road until about 10:pm. I was upset at myself for making such a late departure knowing it would inconvenience my family up in Flint with me arriving in the wee hours of the morning...but I was determined to go that night.

Even considering the late time of night I actually felt rested and alert. I usually preferred driving at night, as I found it to be peaceful with little distraction and this night gave me time to reflect on my upcoming move to Florida. I was all too familiar with this route having taken it often. Because my vintage '52 Ford pickup truck had a top speed of only 55 mph it would take me about 5 hours to drive from Buffalo to Flint.....4-hours for everyone else!

Heading north out of downtown Buffalo towards the Canadian border, passing through customs, and over the Peace bridge, I was on my way. A few hundred yards into Canadian territory I spotted a college kid on the side of the road holding a sign "to Michigan". He was small of stature and appeared harmless, and I figured this passenger would make the trip less lonely and give me some interesting conversation, so I stopped to pick up the hitchhiker.

But to my dismay the young man was very tired and had very little to say, in fact he napped on and off during most of the long drive. So, to keep my mind occupied and me awake, I kept the truck radio on...and the volume low, so it would not wake the sleeper. I was remembering how scenic the Canadian countryside is during daytime with it's rolling farmland and picturesque villages...but at night it is dark and still, the towns are practically invisible, and now it's just me and my passenger in my old truck heading westward down this 2-lane winding highway on a warm August night.

I have been driving for almost 3-hours now through the Ontario countryside passing the towns of St. Catherine's, Hamilton, and London. We are now about a half-hour from the border town of Sarnia, on highway 22 (I believe), it's about 2:am pitch dark outside, the summer night is warm and the truck windows are rolled down. It's a beautiful night on this lonely country highway and my old Ford pickup is the only vehicle on the road. My hitchhiking passenger and myself are engaged in idle conversation when suddenly he is startled by something outside. He is looking out his passenger window, head slightly turned upward and exclaims, "...look over there!...what is that light above the house?" I couldn't see what he was looking at due to the angle of the object and my position in the driver's seat, so while trying to keep the truck on the road, and slowly applying the brakes, I leaned over my passenger's shoulder to get a better look at the object he was so excited about. With one hand on the steering wheel, stretching to get a look out his window, I was amazed at what I saw. Here was a 2-story white farmhouse set back maybe 100 feet from the highway but directly above the house was a large, glowing, dull orange ball or sphere almost floating or hovering in the air nearly touching the peak of the roof. It was an ominous sight, as you could clearly see the outline of the sphere through the few tall trees which surrounded the house.

We were both awestruck. "Oh my God" I said as I was trying to bring the truck to a stop, "I have to get a better look at this". I told my passenger to keep his eyes on the object, as I brought the old truck to a slow stop. Since we were the only vehicle on the road I stopped right in the middle of the highway, there was no time to pull over. Not wanting to waste time, I quickly jumped out of the truck and onto the pavement to get a full view of this magnificent orange glowing sphere hovering very still over the farmhouse. We stood there in absolute silence and gazed at this big, orange ball which was about half the size of the farmhouse.

Unfortunately I was in for a huge disappointment. While standing on the highway and trying to analyze this incredible object I reached over and slammed the truck door closed. Almost at that exact moment, and without making the slightest sound, the sphere shot quickly up into the night sky like a speeding bullet. My eyes fixated on the object as it streaked way up into the sky for a distance of what seemed like a mile, then came to a sudden stop then resumed its flight into space at a constant 45 degree angle until it was completely out of our sight. The "escape" flight from the farmhouse was at an exceptional rate of speed which seemed to take 3-seconds to make it's disappearance into space. We were quite disappointed that our encounter with the object was so brief. I calculated that our total viewing time for this extraordinary event was barely one-minute, if even that.

We were quite stunned at what had just taken place. I said to my passenger, "do you believe what we have just witnessed?" He was speechless and I was in mild shock and now more alert than I had been all night. Since my passenger had the object in his view almost twice as long as I did, I asked him to describe it in detail to me, as I could recall only a large, round sphere which was positioned over the house. The passenger described it as more of an oval shaped object, but also very large. Both of us witnessed the quick exit, heard to total silence, as we looked at each other in absolute amazement. I was cursing the fact that the object did not stay in our view longer for our own selfish investigation. This was the opportunity of a lifetime, here right in front of us, for only one minute, and then gone forever. It was almost as if by stopping the truck on the highway we sort of startled it and it then had to make a quick getaway.

Back in my old truck and on the road again we are high on adrenaline. As we continued westward towards the Michigan-Canadian border at Sarnia, we could not stop talking about what we had just seen. In my mind I had to challenge any other possible explanation for this event. I am basically a skeptic who does not wish to get carried away with blind emotion where a simple or obvious explanation might present itself. Therefore, I began to eliminate some possible causes for this event:

Was it:

1) An aircraft. NO. No engine noise, no noise at all. Completely silent.

2) A Balloon. NO. Could not move that quickly or turn at that angle.

3) The Sun....NO. The right color of the setting sun, but wrong time of day. Wrong position in sky. Too fast.

4) Lightning...NO. No sound. Stationary. Geometric shape and exit.

5) Other........YES. Most likely extraterrestrial or UFO.

My passenger and I agreed that this object was something from "out there"...but where that is, is unknown. We were obviously not meant to study it or get closer to it than we did. Whatever was taking place in the space directly over the farmhouse or maybe even inside the farmhouse is not known. All the lights in the house were off, the residents were probably sleeping. (since it was 2:AM) Many questions were left unanswered.

As I approached the guard station at the Canadian/American border at Sarnia I decided NOT to tell our sighting story to the officers. I am confident that what I saw with my own eyes was real. I was never threatened by this object, no harm was ever directed my way, so there was no cause for alarm. I leave Canada with an experience that validates my longtime belief that we are indeed not alone in this vast universe.

One month later I moved, as planned, to Key West, Florida. I related this experience to others who would then give me that incredulous gaze that so many eye witnesses get when we bring up the subject of UFO's. But that's ok. I received a little validation a few months later in a Key West restaurant when I was introduced to a couple of tourists from Ontario. I mentioned my sphere sighting to them and they were not at all surprised....they explained that the newspapers reported many sightings in and around Ontario during that particular month. I just smiled.

My deepest thanks to Joe for a wonderful report and for retelling his experience in an audio report. Joe also granted permission to use his full name. Joe and I both would love to hear from anyone from Ontario who may have been in and around this area in August of 1977 who may have witnessed this event. Scarborough, Ontario A Saucer Shaped Craft Right Over Top Of Witnesses

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: August 1977 Time: 11:30 p.m.

I did have a sighting back in August I think it was August as it was very, very hot and the year I think was 1977 at 11:30 pm, Scarborough Ontario, around York Mills Road and Roywood Drive. My sister and I went out for a walk at 11:30 pm and about 5 minutes later as we were in the small park that was when we saw the UFO and it was right on top of us. Yes right on top of us a saucer shape with great colours like orange, green, red etc.. The bottom of the craft had many panels and each panel had a colour, we stood there in awe as a military helicopter went right by it as if they didn't even see it, or was trying to take a better look and yes it was huge but magnificent. Then all of a sudden, it went straight up in the air with just a strange kind of a wind noise and as it went up high it seemed to just miss an airplane, then a zig zag while moving upward at a very, very fast speed then darted left and was gone, almost like a catch me if you can playful behavior.

It moved pretty darn fast if you ask me. I am not sure how long all of this took or how it snuck up on us, but time seemed to be moving very, very slowly. I ran back home to call the police and they asked me questions like how much alcohol or drugs did I take of course none, then within 20 minutes after my call the air force was all over that sky literally, and they are saying it was an air balloon no way it was a UFO sighting. I have also had other sightings all in Toronto, again with the same craft at 5 years later, again sneaking up on me and many others from a farther distance and more than one craft at a time.

Thank you to the witness for the interesting report.

Brandon, Manitoba Massive Football Field Sized Craft

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: Mid to late August 1977 Time: Approx: 10:40 -10:50 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Massive rectangular.

Full Description of event/sighting: Dear Brian, I was not going to report this because it was so long ago, but now I am curious if I was the only to see it.

I was sitting outside on our back step with my father, one late August night in 1977. It was a very clear night over Brandon, MB and the stars shining bright with no moon. The night was very calm and there was not a breath of wind in the air. My father and I had been sitting outside for about 45 min to an hour, when he went inside to get himself something to drink. I continued to sit outside looking up at the westerly night sky. Being eleven years old, I had a love for the blanket of stars that covered me each night.

It was not long after my father had gone inside that I noticed a huge object in the sky off in the west and approaching towards my direction.

I first thought maybe it was a big helicopter or a huge transport plane, but quickly realized there were no lights. As the object approached, I could distinguish the out line of the object from the shadow it cast being below the nights stars. The object was massive approximately the size of a football field and what made me realize that it was not a cloud that I was looking at was it was total flat edges and the smooth steady movement. As I had said there was no a breath of wind so this seemed a very particular sight. Its shape was the same as a football field and it looked like it could set perfectly into a football field and take up all the field including end zones. If I was to guess I would say it must have been 30 to 40 feet high. I would also guess that it might have been 500 to 800 feet in the air.

As the object continued in an easterly direction it was now almost right above me. I was on my feet, my mouth wide open..in in utter confusion as the object was passing over the house. I continued to look at this object and tried to see what it was.. all I could make out was the outline though. The object was totally dark underneath. It was squared at the corners with no lights, and I couldn't here any sounds. I then realized my father had not come back out yet and was missing this. By that point I was yelling for him to come outside and see this. He was not responding so I ran inside to get him to come outside and see it. I grabbed him and told him he had to see this. I was inside for maybe 15 to 20 seconds when he came back out side with me on the west side of the house where we had been sitting I could not see the object. I realized it had moved on and told him it must be out front. We ran around the house to the east side but the object had disappeared, just a clear sky with all the stars shining.still not a cloud.

I have kept this to myself since it happened and never talked about it, but since I have had other sightings recently I have decided to see if there were any others who may have seen what I had witnessed. I guess it was tuff to believe that something as massive as this object was, could be in the sky. And also, being eleven years old I was still unsure of all our capabilities that we may have had in the sky. After not being able to make sense of what I had witnessed I sort of had decided that it was a unknown military craft, but didn't really give it too much more thought till recently. So, there ya go.

Thank you to the eyewitness for the report.

Milburn Lake, British Columbia Humming Football Shaped Craft

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: Around 1977 Time: N/A

Message: I found your web page for the first time today, may I say it is an excellent read. I wouldn't normally write into one of these pages but after reading the story about the glowing lights around Milburn Mountain (story from February 18, 2006) I just got the chills, I used to live across from Milburn Lake, and I to have had several strange thing happen to me there. The first time I ever saw anything was about 1977, I was walking to the school bus stop with a couple of school friends, as we were walking I became aware of a strange humming noise that seem to be coming from some where around us, but I couldn't tell from where. I stop talking and started to look for the source of the noise.

When I look up and to the front of us there was a football shaped craft. It was brightly lit with the main body being green and with colored lights around the middle that pulsed in time with the humming, that we were hearing.I watched it for about 10 seconds before my two friends looked up and became aware of the craft, as they looked up the craft bolted to the side approx: 1000 yards then disappeared straight down behind Milburn Mountain.

Thank you to the witness for the excellent report.

Milburn Lake, B.C. Bright White Light Shines Down On Kids Ice Skating

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: 1977 - 1978 ? Time: After dark.

The second strange thing to happen there was again with the same two friends. We were ice skating on Milburn Lake in or about 1977 or 1978, it was after dark and were about to head in of the ice when a bright white light shone down on us, at first we thought it was a parent with a flashlight come to collect us for the night. After a few seconds we realized the light was shinning straight down. I don't have to tell you how fast three scared kids can move.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

RM Of Rockwood 30km N Of Winnipeg, Manitoba Triangular Craft And More

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: 1976 (? - late 70s) Time: 11:00 p.m. (? - or later)

Location of Sighting: RM of Rockwood 30km N of Winnipeg, Manitoba. Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 2 Shape of objects: Triangular.

HBCC UFO Research Note: Just to let the witness and everyone know, I do not post anyone's personal information. The only time names are added is if the witness insists that their name be included in their sighting report, other than that, no private information is added to the reports.

Full Description of event/sighting: Please withhold my name from the story if you publish it on the site please.

I just read the Transcona Manitoba report (and letters) on your site. Oddly enough on the 8th of October on abovetopsecret (which I had just started posting on this month) I posted my story which took place in the late 70s about 30km North of Winnipeg in the RM of Rockwood. The Transcona triangle sighting reminded me eerily of my own sighting (although mine was at night) which would have occurred around the same year(s) proposed by the Transcona letter.

The following is my story:

Before I start, I'll explain my father was involved in rocketry, and worked in a rocket manufacturing plant located about 20 - 40 miles from my home in a rural area of the Canadian prairies. Because of this, I was quite familiar with seeing man-made aircraft including military aircraft etc. And I knew what they looked like at night. One of the advantages I guess of having a father who worked in the military/industrial complex" as it were I guess, is you have exposure and access to a lot of pictures, booklets, were taken to air-shows etc.

When I was young, about 14 or maybe 15, so this would be in the late 70s, my brothers and I were allowed to stay up late as my Aunt and her daughters were over for a barbeque. It was a perfectly clear evening, but as it got later there wasn't much in particular for me (and the other kids who were "played out" and tired) to do. So I began staring at the stars. While looking Northward about oh say 35/40 degrees up from the horizon, I noticed a funny star, and when I looked closer it was actually 3 stars in the form of a triangle. Only, it quickly dawned on me these weren't 3 separate stars, these were all part of one object that was rotating and the lights at the corners of the triangle rotated in a counter-clockwise direction, fairly slowly, and the object itself moved slowly left and then slowly right.

Then astonishingly, the ship zipped off. It crossed a good portion of the night sky in only a heartbeat. It was absolutely an incredible speed, unbelievable speed judging from the height of the object that would have been a huge distance to move. But I still managed to follow the movement (with some difficulty) and saw the object (still slowly rotating counter-clockwise). The object stood stationary for a few moments then whoosh - went back to the relative position I had originally viewed it at. At this point I knew it was something not-of-this-earth and pushed my younger brother to go get the binoculars while I kept watch of the object. By the time my brother got back the object had made a few shorter distance "hops" and by the time I put the binoculars in hand I just caught a new arrival - another object - a second set of triangle lights that came in (from nowhere it appeared?) and slowly joined the original. Through the weak binoculars you could clearly see 3 distinct lights in the form of a triangle, and from time to time in the counter-clockwise rotation a light that seemed to come into view on top of the object (this was without a doubt a 3-dimensional object). Both craft continued to come very close to one another. My mother at this time finally was curious as to what we were doing and came over to see what the fuss was.

She looked in the area of the sky my brother and I witnessed the objects in. but she didn't seem to see what we were trying to show her. Although I think she saw more than she let on, but wanted to not scare us - or she may have not caught a glimpse of the two objects spinning in the night sky - she had been drinking most of the evening. At that point she decided we needed to call it an evening and get to bed. So we left the backyard and our vigil and did as we were told.

Growing up I remember some evenings waking up terrified in bed for no apparent reason as though I had a nightmare but couldn't recall the dream. Some nights I would have an overwhelming irrational fear before going to bed as well. I did have a morning when I awoke and experienced "sleep paralysis" I couldn't move although my brain was awake and I could see. I've noticed that this/these types of experiences sometimes occur to people who have witnessed UFO phenomena.

Anyways, it was that evening I knew, without a doubt that there is intelligent life outside of our little ball of dirt, and that they were visiting us. I have continued to watch the skies, and continue to catch glimpses now and then of things I can't easily explain.

Thank you to the eyewitness for the fascinating sighting report.

Meaford, Ontario Object Changes Color & Makes Sporadic Patterns

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: Summer of 1976 Time: Evening

(I remember more detail): In the summer months of 1976, a Saturday, I was in Meaford, Ont. with a group of my friends and my boyfriend. Earlier that day we had gone horseback riding and my horse threw me when he went into a full gallop from a trot. My foot was stuck in the stirrup and I still had hold of his reins. I hadn't yet hit the ground until he stopped dead.

That evening, everyone was partying, drinking and smoking but I opted for sitting on a boulder looking up at the sky. In Meaford, there is a small mountain with a flat peak. I was observing the sky above it. Again, the sky was filled with stars. I pin-pointed an 'object' in the distance which looked like a plane due to the colour changes of the lights. After watching it for several minutes, it seemed like it was stationary and hadn't moved. Then it darted across the sky at a great speed, changing colours and in sporadic patterns for several minutes. Off in the distance, a real plane appeared and the 'object' disappeared. While this was happening, I felt no threat or fear. Simply awe and a connection.

I wanted to share this experience with my friends and over the course of the next hour or so, I convinced 3 of them, individually, to sit with me on the boulder. The 'object' performed it's wondrous dance, at different intervals, for each of them. My first male friend said that it was simply my powers of persuasion. My second female friend said that she just didn't want to deal with the unknown. My boyfriend said "It's not real. It's just a paranoid illusion" and left. Each of them were afraid and refused to discuss it from then on.

The events that followed are perplexing and seem to be in bits and pieces. I have no recollection of the time between sitting on the boulder and laying on my friends couch. The weather was not cold or damp yet I shivered, uncontrollably, all night.

A few weeks later, my doctor told me that I was in my second trimester of pregnancy. No symptoms, no body changes, religiously taking the 'pill' and still having a regular period each month. The rest is another story.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Sudbury, Ontario Circular Shaped Object

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: August 1975 Time: Evening

Number of witnesses: 5 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Circular (distant)

Full Description of event/sighting: With friends in a row boat near Sudbury Ontario I saw what I thought was a satellite. After showing my friends this object we observed it for several minutes. After a short time this object seemed to ricochet across the night sky, we followed it. It stopped for a short time then appeared to glow or seemingly smaller objects appeared around the main one. Then in an instant it "skipped" or "accelerated" itself out of our sight. I never reported this and am not sure if any of my friends did.

Loyola Campus, Montreal, Quebec Unknown Object Acting Erratically

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: Spring of 1975 Time: Approx: 10:00 p.m.

I have one personal sighting story from the spring of 1975. Myself and 5 high school friends were in a schoolyard close to Loyola campus in NDG, enjoying the late May or early June evening. It was around 10:00 pm. We had climbed onto the roof of a maintenance shack attached to the school and had a good view of the sky, we faced west towards Dorval airport (about 7 -10 K away) and were watching the planes as they took off and landed.

Someone pointed out a light that looked like one of the planes circling for landing that didn't behave like the rest. We watched it move slowly across the sky from left to right, then it stopped. It sat there for about 30 seconds then abruptly started moving in the opposite direction at least three times as fast as any plane we'd been watching. It repeated the whole process again but stopped in the middle this time. It then shot straight upwards and disappeared.

We all knew we'd seen something very strange. The father of one of the girls present at the sighting was a university professor and UFO buff/researcher at the time (name removed - maybe remove name). We found out the next day that he had received numerous calls about the sighting from all around the Montreal area.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Paipoonge Township, Outside Of Thunder Bay Ontario Lights Chasing One Another

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: Approx: Mid 1970s Time: Evening

Message: In my younger years (approx. mid 1970's), our family home was approximately 20 miles outside of Thunder Bay, ON, Canada on Concession 6 in Paipoonge Township. Myself and 5 other people (adults and young teens - both Canadian and Americans) witnessed two lights chasing each other across the milky way at high speeds and tight angles that an aircraft is incapable of travelling. They zig-zagged directions and changed speeds in a game of chase for approximately 20 seconds. The two lights then came to a sudden stop when a third light approached equally fast from another angle. The three lights formed a triangle for a short period of time (approx. 5 seconds) then very quickly separated ways in three different directions. As they travelled they disappeared. The lights appeared as brighter stars within the milky way. We noticed them because of their "very" unusual pattern of movement. We could not make out any shapes.

Thank you to the eyewitness for the interesting report.

Transcona, Manitoba Objects Stunned Residents & Object Hovers Over Highway

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: 1975 or 1976 Time: Evening.

Brian, With regards to your recent phone conversation concerning UFOs, the following are the events which I witnessed, each several months apart, in 1975 or 1976

I've included as much detail as I can recall, perhaps more than necessary, but you can edit it. I hope I have explained it well enough to make sense. Feel free to call me if you have any questions or if it is not clear enough.

The occurrences regarding the "star" which enlarged to the size of a large moon (though oval instead of round like the moon) is the one which is completely unlike anything I have ever heard or read about. It you know of a similar sighting I would be very interested in hearing or reading about it.

I think my daughters (names removed) and others who know me, would agree that I'm quite stable - minded, not easily excited, and I question everything !

Thank you for your interest.

In July, 1973, I moved with my husband and my daughter, aged 11, into a house on the western outskirts of Transcona, a Winnipeg suburb. It was part of a new government development, one block of houses backed by government owned Condos. The houses, all along one side of the street, faced older, privately owned homes across from us. It was a couple of years before we got cement sidewalks and street and another couple before streetlamps were installed. At the eastern end of our street, Plessis Road, was well-lit and part of the older section of Transcona. Our new street, Kernaghan Ave., was only one block long.

I believe it was the summer and fall of 1975 or 1976 when several unexplained events occurred, months apart.

Incident #1

On a beautiful sunny day, my husband and I were chatting with a neighbor lady in front of our house. At about the same moment, we all noticed two triangular - appearing objects, gleaming against a clear, cloudless blue sky in the north, northwest.

We couldn't determine if the outward projection was part of the main object or a short, powerful energy steam - certainly not like the jet-stream of some aircraft. It was more solid looking and bright. They shone like stars, probably from the sun which was in the northwest, and the object were absolutely motionless for perhaps 3 to 5 minutes.

Then, in perfect unison, they shot upward, then turned very sharply and sped away in a north, northeastern direction and disappeared. The entire motion took only a second or less.

We couldn't judge the altitude, though they appeared to be about the size of large, bright stars. We agreed that the speed had to be in excess of 2000 miles per hour, probably a gross understatement.

Incident #2

On evening I went to bed while my husband stayed up to read in the living room. It was around 10:00 p.m., or so, but I couldn't sleep. After about a half hour, for no reason other than restlessness (it was very quiet), I got up and stood at the window which faces north. I was gazing at the stars which were bright against the dark sky. No streetlamps had been installed yet which made the stars more visible than we normally see in the city.

When I turned my attention to the right, the northeast, I caught sight of what appeared to be a star, then a plane, but it was moving very erratically toward the northwest. It stopped every 5 to 20 seconds, as a plane will appear to do when changing directions. But in this case the bright light never stopped or dimmed, but remained steady. It would stop, with no regularity as to distance between stops, and then continue on it's path.

I was quite fascinated and continued to watch it as it made its way across the sky in this fashion, as though its intention was to be seen. When it reaches a point in the northwest, it began to curve southward and continued in it's stop and go pattern. When it appeared, I would lose sighting of it. I ran through the living room to the front door, insisting that my husband come too. We went outside and stood on the sidewalk facing west. Beyond the end of the street was open prairie, undeveloped for several miles and quite dark at night. The lights from Winnipeg could be seen on the horizon beyond that. Even there, the sky was dark and stars clearly seen.

My husband and I stood silently watching the "star" as it continued its southward path. When it was exactly in line with out sidewalk, it stopped for a few seconds, then suddenly it zoomed toward us in a direct line (more than half the distance, I would guess) and as it came towards us it increased in size until it became the size of a large moon, like a harvest moon, except oval in shape.

It glowed in a very bright, yet soft light and seemed to pulse as it hovered there for perhaps ten seconds, then it zoomed back to its original size and position. It stayed there for a few more seconds (10-15), then continued its journey southward and we soon lost sight of it as it disappeared behind the black silhouette of tall trees.

I turned to my husband, who looked stunned, and asked him "Did you see what I saw and what it did?"

He shook his head and went inside and refused to talk about it. He later denied he'd seen anything unusual and I never spoke to him about it again. He seemed quite shaken at the time and I felt that he might have been afraid. However, I'm not so sure of that now, in light of another event concerning another neighbor.

Incident #3

Later one night, perhaps close to midnight, I sat alone in the living room, reading. he house was in darkness except for my reading lamp. The sofa where I sat faced the larger window, looking north, and the drapes were partly open. Outside, it was very dark and the sky was covered with an unusually thick layer of very dark clouds which I hadn't noticed earlier. They were very low.

Very suddenly, the entire room lit up as bright as daylight and I rushed to the window in time to see a bright light above the clouds, moving toward the north. I couldn't see the craft, but judging from the expanse of light coming through the clouds, it appeared to be the size of a football field - the nearest description I can give. It was moving steadily, directly northward until it vanished from my sight, rather slowly. I would guess no more than 40 to 50 miles per hour, and there was absolutely no sound or vibration of any kind, nor any other sound or activity from any local source.

I know it was not a signal light from the Winnipeg airport which was more then 10 miles to the west, because on the few occasions when I observed that light, it moved in an arc, counter clockwise, and the circular path was evident, besides which it would have reflected on the underside of the clouds. The light I saw moved in a straight direct path northward until it faded and disappeared.

In time, I got to know another neighbor who lived across the street on Kernaghan Avenue and we became friends. One day I told her about the incident (#2) concerning the "star" that became huge, and mentioned my husband's reaction and refusal to discuss it. She then told me of her strange experience.

I few years earlier, she and her husband had been driving home to Winnipeg (Transcona), her husband at the wheel. It was quite late and very dark and still some miles from the city. They suddenly saw a very large bright ball, fiery orange red which descended from the sky and stopped, perhaps 10 feet above the road, quite low, and appeared to be in the diameter, roughly the width of the highway. Her husband slowed the car, and stopped. Perhaps 200 yards or so before the object. It was apparent they would not be able to continue and would have been foolish to attempt the drive under and passed it. They watched in silence for what seemed to be several minutes as it hovered above the road. Then it lifted off, going straight upward until it disappeared from site. She said they never spoke the rest of the way home and she assumed he was as stunned as she was.

However, the following day, upon recalling the incident, she tried to discuss it with him, but he claimed he saw no such thing and had no recollection of stopping the car. Is it possible that both he and my husband really did not witness these things and were perhaps in some sort of trance?

We moved from Kernaghan Avenue in September of 1988 and I have not seen these neighbors since. During the years 1974, 1975, 1976, my husband was away a lot, working up north on hydro dam projects. There were many changes in my life and I put the events behind me. Never recording dates or events, but the details are still vivid in my mind.

My husband and I separated in 1986 and later divorced. He died in May 2003.

I have heard many strange stories from people whose honesty I trust, who are reluctant to confide except in someone they believe is trustworthy, and so I consider myself fortunate in this regard.

I only believe what I cannot find any other explanation for, and I also believe that there will be many more such occurrences in the future.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Montreal, Quebec Ball Of Fire

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: July, 1974 Time: 9:45 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Ball of fire

Full Description of event/sighting: I was 10 years old at that time, and I was walking on the sidewalk to my friend's house when my mother called me. When I turned around, I saw this giant tip, that I think was a ball of fire passing over the 5 story building that I use to live in and it was heading towards Dorval Airport. My friend and I ran to see if it was going to crash, but we didn't see a thing. But since that sighting I had, I do believe there is something out here that's not from this world. I still do some research on the phenomena. With the digital camera that is on the market and affordable we will soon find out.

Golden Lake (Lac Golden) Val David, Quebec Object Hovers Then Shoots Off

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: Mid-summer 1974 (maybe 1975) Time: Approx: 10:00 p.m.

Approach Direction: Stationary at first. Departure Direction: Towards north (towards Sainte-Agathe-des-Monts). Witness Direction: Westerly.

Description: I was walking home from the Golden Lake Country Club around 10 pm and I was about 14 or 15. It was quite warm so I didn't have a sweater. Suddenly, I was compelled to stop. It was as though the breeze had just stopped and the air seemed very still. I remember getting Goosebumps. I was staring toward the west at the silhouette of Mont Condor. We had local nicknames for each of the peaks of Mont Condor. King's was the highest and from there, an object of white light hovered over the tree-line, and then shot off into the atmosphere with a northerly vector. The acceleration seemed instantaneous and the object blinked from sight.

I felt frightened and it took me a minute to regain control of my rationality. I do remember running from light post to light post in order to get home. The feeling has stayed with me all of these years.

I know I was witness to something either ethereal or otherworldly.

Color/Shape: White object, circular

Height & Speed: 1/2 mile away 100 feet over the mountain. It reminded me of a shooting star... only falling up instead of down.

TV/Radio/Press: Not that I am aware of.

Thank you to UFOINFO for this report. http://ufoinfo.com/

Date: Summer 1974 Time: 10:00 - 11:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 2-4 Shape of objects: Oval-round.

Full Description of event/sighting: My cousin and I were walking home from a friend's, when we reached the Stewart St. and Townsend St area by the railroad tracks in what is roughly south central Peterborough. My cousin (name removed) looked up and said "Oh look". When I looked up I saw 2 oval shaped bluish objects traveling North in a zig zag pattern which I have never seen before or since. When I looked up it was straight up, and I followed these things to about a 50-60 degree angle into some trees. It was less than 10 seconds from the time I saw them to the time they disappeared.

They were incredibly fast. I saw jets in the same area years later when my uncle lived in the same area that took at least twice as much time to cover the same area. The most distinctive thing about them was the zig zag motion of traveling. They traveled in a "W" pattern, just left, right, left etc, amazing, I new immediately that they were not anything I had heard about and even at 13 I was well informed. When I asked my cousin what she had saw she told me "I saw 4 UFO's that split up, 2 went north 2 went east." (Name removed) would have been about 16-17 at the time. I've seen meteors and comets over the years but nothing like this experience.

Additional Information:

Weather conditions were clear no clouds. No moon that I remember. Not overcast or raining.

I spotted the UFO's, moving side by side, at approx a 50-65 degree angle, moving south to north. My cousin saw 4 all together, they split and 2 went east and 2 went north. No sound. It was a quiet night and I have excellent hearing. No trail.

Best I can say is that they moved in a left to right fashion very unusual, they moved in unison in the WWWWWW just back and forth. They did not leave the straight line moving north but they did move back and fourth.

Shape was oval/round, the oval was not elongated not perfectly round either. Bluish in colour, texture unknown. Moving faster than anything I have ever seen.

Distance would be difficult to guess. They were high enough to look smaller than a dime. That's 1 UFO smaller than a dime. Not both UFO's smaller than a dime.

Again the most notable thing about them was the left to right movement. I have seen other things in the sky, I have been interested in astronomy for sometime and have seen many things but nothing like this.

My cousin was the one that spotted them and I don't know which way they came from when she picked them up but they moved from South to North when I saw them.

There were no lights, portholes or anything I could see above the disc, all I could see was from the bottom. But there was a bluish light coming off of the bottom of the discs.

The area has no airport, it is outside of town on the South side about 2-3 km. No military base. No research facilities that I know of. The only notable feature would be the General Electric Factory 1 block away. I worked at this factory for 2 years and I don't know of any research being done there. The most notable thing they do there is make nuclear reactor fuel pellets for the Candu reactors and large engines for airplanes like the Dash 7 and 8's. They also make large generators for large electrical plants around the world. And I'm pretty sure they weren't making UFO's in the basement at least they never let me ride in one.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

North of Toronto Ontario, Hwy 48 Very Large Two Storied Oval Shaped UFOs

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: 1974 Time: 10:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Very large two storied oval shaped.

Full Description of event/sighting: My father, mother, myself, my three small children driving north on Hwy 48 north of Toronto (Ontario) about 30 miles. Mom and I were sitting in the front with my father driving. Mom and I saw a massive object to our left in a field. It was much larger than a farm combine in the air about 50 feet off the ground. It had windows which were lit and it seemed to be revolving. It was frightening. I said to my mother "What is that?!!" She looked at me and said "Don't frighten the children". We never spoke of it again until a year ago. Never mentioned it to a soul for all those years. It was not my first sighting. I reported seeing with my husband about fifteen miles from the first sighting on County Rd 23, Brock Township, Durham Region a large white light at the side of the hwy. We stopped the car and immediately from this white came three objects, two flew horizontally, one vertically at a high rate of speed.

We carried on into town and when we returned the hydro was off in the subdivision. The weather good, but hydro not off in town. We proceeded into our house and there was one of the objects over the field behind our house. I had a reporter from the Beaverton Express come and do an article regarding this and shortly after I heard from a neighbor who told me she had been watching them for weeks, but did not want to tell anyone else. I can find the archival newspaper with some work. Around the same time a police officer we knew told us that scientists were performing experiments on the frozen lake near us, Lake Simcoe. He went out there and they informed him they were performing tests regarding a black hole into space. The time frame have been about 1974. The thing that really bothers my mother and myself is that we had never spoken of the incident on the highway with the cylinder type object until recently and my father never mentioned it. He did not question us as to our comments and he passed away before Mom and I spoke about it.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Gallants Deer Lake Airport, Newfoundland Lights Hovering Over The Ground

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: December 1973 Time: 9:00 p.m.

Full Description of event/sighting: Driving to Deer Lake Airport in December of 1973, my friend and I saw 3 bright lights hovering close to the ground ahead, thought the light was a car with one headlight. Two more came out of nowhere and joined, and all 3 went straight up into the sky very quickly and stopped, zipped together in formation, straight lines up, down and sideways. They went directly above car and as we stopped they sped out of sight over the hill tops. We continued to Deer Lake and picked up friend, never discussed the incident to anyone until about 1996 when we met in Vancouver.

Oshawa, Ontario Silvery - Aluminum Round UFO

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: August (?) 1973 Time: Approx: 9:00 p.m.

Approach Direction: Stationary when first seen. Departure Direction: East. Witness Direction: East.

Description: I was standing at the corner of Hortop Street and Rossland Road in Oshawa Ontario. The time was approximately 21:00 hrs. I had just left a variety store and was walking eastbound across the parking lot.

I observed a large round object hovering over what appeared to be the east of Simcoe Street and north of Rossland Road. The object was extremely large as it appeared to the size of approximately 1/2 a city block.

I went back into the store and told my friend to "come outside now!" He did and we both stared at the object for about another 3 (at least it seemed that long) minutes.

The object slowly began to move eastward and because of trees and houses eventually went out of sight. We went further south towards Rossland road to see it again but it was gone. Seemingly vanishing into thin air.

I have over the years told many people of the sighting, but since that night, my friend has refused to speak of, or even admit that we saw the object.

Color/Shape: Colour - Silvery/Aluminum

Shape - Round.

Lights - red, blue, yellow. (cannot recall if the lights were stationary or circled around the lower section of the object) (cannot recall if the lights blinked on and off or if they remained constant)

Width (approximate) - 100 to 150 feet across.

Height (approximate) - 1/4 the width. About 30-40 feet.

Height & Speed: Height of object from ground - 200 to 250 feet.

Departure speed - 30 to 40 miles per hour. Sighting lasted approximately 4 to 5 minutes.

TV/Radio/Press: Not reported to any media. Who would believe a couple of 16 year old kids?

You may share this report with HBCC.

Thank you for allowing me to finally put this on record.

Wilmer - Near Windemere, British Columbia A Circular Shaped Craft

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: 1973 - No month given. Time: Daytime close to dusk

One afternoon three girls were in a farmers field on their way to the hayshed to enjoy a cigarette unbenowns to their parents. After their sojourn to the shed they thought it was time to go home again and walked back down the field where there was a hole in the fence close to Sandy Bend Road. Before they got to the fence they heard a sound like a vehicle trying to start, similar to the engine turning over and over. They all looked in both directions but there was nothing to be seen. The same noise happened again but they could see no vehicle anywhere. Suddenly they realised that the sound was coming from above their heads. Looking skywards they saw a circular shaped craft with different coloured lights around the cir*****ference, and the object was silver/metallic in the centre.

All three girls were stunned, scared and spooked and ran as fast as they could towards their homes. One of them doesn't remember exactly how she got back to her parents. She had no real recollection of the path she took but when she arrived she told her mother about her experience. The other two girls were so scared they got the first girls dad to take them home. None of them seemed to realise how long the occurrence was, but realised it was way longer than they planned to be away from home, in fact it had become quite dark.

The whole episode was never talked about again and the mother didn't want to discuss it.

This story was recalled to me by the first girls' sister (and I also took a telephone interview with this witness). I plan on contacting one of the other girls to get her story of what happened but so far I've been very busy and will endeavour to do that as soon as I can.

I would like to thank the witnesses for the report.

SW Calgary, Alberta Three Witnesses To A Solid White Triangle

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: August 2, 1972 Time: 0315

Number of witnesses: 3 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Triangle. Full Description of event/sighting: This was a solid white triangle appearing out of the south. With a steady speed, it proceeded northward. The base of the triangle was the leading edge. It came to a full stop directly over us. It was stationary for about 5 seconds. It rotated 90 degrees to the left (now facing the west). Stopped again for about 5 seconds. Then it proceeded directly to the west.

As this was roughly 33 years ago, some details I no longer recall (i.e., precisely where and when in the sky it appeared and disappeared.

There was no sound. The color was solid white. Against the night sky, I would compare the base of the triangle to be nearly the same as the diameter of the full moon. The height of the triangle was about a quarter to maybe a third of the length of the triangle.

I called the Calgary Planetarium the next day or so to report it. They sent out to my home a Mr. Allen. A gentleman in his late 50s or early 60s. He took our statements, and indicated a similar object was seen in other locations in Calgary at different times. Once a 9:00 p.m., another at 10:00 p.m., then finally ours at 3:15 a.m.

At the conclusion of the report, Mr. Allen said he would get back to us with any additional information. I have not heard from him.

I am interested to know of others with a similar experience, or of any database that may have my original report in it.

Thank you to the witness for the interesting report.

Location of Sighting: Prince George, B.C. Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Orange ball.

Full Description of event/sighting: 1972. Both my former wife and I saw a orange ball come toward us and it flash before our eyes. I thought I was nuts. I asked her if she had seen it as I had. She said that she had. We were driving home to my parents house and she was sitting in the car right beside me. I looked up and I saw this orange ball coming out of the sky towards us, then a flash and then it was gone.

Topley Landing, British Columbia A Bright Luminous Sphere

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: Early Spring of 1972 Time: Evening (dusk)

The second sighting I was alone. I am a heavy duty mechanic and was working for the Houston, B.C. branch of Finning Tractor at the time on a temporary transfer. During one of my field outings in early spring (not sure of the date) I had just completed repairs on a piece of logging machinery on a landing of a logging operation near Topley Landing on Babine Lake. Dusk was setting in as I travelled the logging road back to the highway and the trip back to Houston. As I began across another landing on the logging road I was startled to see what appeared to be a bright luminous sphere across the landing to my left. Venturing a guess I would say that the sphere may have been between 10 and 20 feet in diameter. The sphere rose upward off the landing and almost immediately began to accelerate upward at an incredible rate until it was out of sight. The time from first sighting on the ground until it was out of sight could not have been more than 5 seconds. Events like this make one entertain the thought that perhaps I was hallucinating as this does not fit in with my normal worldview.

I hope you find this interesting and that it could tie in with similar sightings in the same time frame and locations.

Tranquille, North Of Kamloops, B. C. Lights Move Apart From One Another

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: Early 1970's Time: Evening.

Hi Brian, By the way, minutes after I finished the interview with you the other Friday, my younger sister (the one from the 1968 sighting in Tranquille) called from Washington State and I told her about my interview with you and how you had asked me if anyone else in my family had seen any other UFO's. I was unaware of this when I was speaking to you, but my sister and my grandparents had a sighting that I was not aware of. It was in the early 1970's and my grandparents and sister were driving home to Tranquille after going out for dinner in town. My sister said they saw two lights side by side flying west away from the airport. At first, they thought they were seeing the wingtip lights from a plane that had just taken off from the airport, but after about a minute or so, the lights kept moving west, but started moving away from one another while still flying west, i.e. the north "wingtip" light started veering north while the south "wingtip" light veered south. The lights eventually disappeared. I asked her if the lights were flashing like an aircraft wing light but she said no and they were just solid white lights. Anyway, just thought I would pass that along to you.

Thank you to the person for relating the sighting report.

Nova, Scotia UFO Making Zig Zag Pattern In The Sky

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: 1971 Time: Evening

Number of witnesses: 4 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: N/A

Full Description of event/sighting: Looking up at the night sky a friend pointed out a satellite going across the sky. All four of us were looking at that point since back in 1970 seeing any satellite in a night sky was still sort of new. The UFO went from moving in a straight line to moving in an exact zig zag pattern and then faded from sight. Each of the four of us agreed right then we had seen the exact same thing.

British Columbia UFO Reports

Posted: December 26, 2007

Yes I do believe in UFO's. I have seen a few over the years. About a dozen of us saw a huge triangular ship in Tsawwassen near the Tsawwassen Ferry about 25 miles out of downtown Vancouver. It had about 9 round red lights that were spaced evenly on its edges. The ship looked huge according the distance the red lights were spaced. It was around 8 PM, though it was dark out the size was easy to distinguish. A few days later around 5:30 am a huge triangular shape UFO was hovering over Tssawwassen Hill in Delta, BC which overlooks the Tsawwassen Ferry terminal.

Back in 1971 on the Queen Charlottes we watched a round UFO ship which was orange in color with a bright green band through the center of the craft hovering across Masset village to Masset Island. It had beamed a foot wide band of light on our house, about 10 feet up from the ground. They could have responded to us because we (7 of us) were blinking flashlights at it while we stood watching from the beach shoreline and the night was clear. About a week and a half ago in the same area there were bright balls of light dancing around. Many residents here on Haida Gwaii (Queen Charlotte Islands) witness UFO's so it in not usual for us to see them.

Thank you to the person for sending along the report.

Cornerbrook, Newfoundland A Cluster Of White Lights

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: December 26, 1969, 70, or 71 (?) Time: Between 6:00 p.m. and 9:00 p.m.

Approach Direction: One object approaching from east. Departure Direction: Departed to west. Witness Direction: North.

Description: It was boxing day and I was a child. My father worked shift work and we missed Mass on Christmas day so my parents took us children to visit church after dark to see the manger.

Upon coming out, I looked up in the sky and saw a cluster of white lights in the shape of an oval slowly moving from east to west. My whole family then watched. Being a kid in the early 70's, I loved "space" and wanted to be an astronaut and would always look at the sky.

The object was a bit north of us traveling in a straight line almost floating east to west. It was at ~ 80° East when I first saw it and flew through 90° (nearly overhead) then continued its slow straight course west.

I did not know about checking to see if it blocked out stars as it passed or count how many lights there were. I would estimate there were between 12 and 20 spaced in the shape of an oval. They did not blink or dim. It was a quiet night and we heard no noise from the object. I am sure of this as we were not on a flight path so any airplane above the city would pick our keen ears as children. We would always look up when we heard one. I heard nothing.

I would guess the object moved across the sky slightly faster than a typical jet at cruising altitude.

Color/Shape: 12 to 20 solid white lights in a symmetrical oval shape. The narrow ends formed the leading and trailing points. It was not as pointy as a football.

Height & Speed: I don't have a clue. It could have been a huge object at high altitude or a smaller one at lower altitude. It was approximately the size of the moon so ~ 0.5°

TV/Radio/Press: It was reported by others in the Western Star paper according to my parents. It is a shame I know the day of the year but not the year.

I speculate that it may have been some high altitude experimental craft since space exploration was in its hay day during that time or possibly a blimp.

Saint John, New Brunswick A Pattern Of Lights

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: 1970 Time: 8:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 20 Number of objects: 7 Shape of objects: Dots.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was snow sliding at a local golf coarse with a friend and his family along with about fifteen other people. We were facing the north when some one or myself, I can't remember said "look at the pattern of lights on the horizon. Calculating the distance I would have to say they were hundreds of miles apart, however when one moved they all moved, it was quite spectacular really. I can't remember why we stopped watching them, whether or not they simply vanished or shot off into the night, all I can remember was every one stopped what they were doing and watched.

Strange as it seemed, I don't recall anyone being amazed or mystified by what we had just witnessed. When it was over (maybe two to three minutes) we all just went back to what we were doing. I don't even recall talking about it after the fact.

Edgewater, British Columbia Bright Light Follows Witness

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: 1970's ? Time: Approx: 11:00 p.m.

A friend reported to me that she knew of a girlfriend's husband who was on his way to work. It was the graveyard shift and he was heading off along the highway to his place of employment, which was some 10 -15 minutes away from his home. As he travelled towards his destination he became aware of a bright light which seemed to be getting bigger and bigger and following him alongside the highway. He was too curious to keep on driving until he'd had a better look at what was going on. Stopping the vehicle he watched for several minutes. But strangely enough when he finally got to work he discovered that he was over 2 hours late.

Investigators Note: I would have liked to have contacted this gentleman but he has passed away... but I was indeed grateful that his experience had been passed on to me for inclusion in my files.

Spring Hill Ranch, Telkwa Hi Road In Smithers B.C. Strange Craft

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: Between 1970 & 1983 Time: ?

I grew up on Spring Hill Ranch on the Telkwa Hi Road in Smithers during mid 1970 till 1983. I live in Saskatchewan now.

I can remember an encounter I had on the ranch sometime between those years, while I was fetching the horses out in the pasture. The area was well treed and I was walking along the fence line heading back toward the house, when I just had the notion to look up. Not far above the tree line, above my head was the strangest looking aircraft I had ever seen. There was absolutely no sound to it at all, which amazed me, for one.

The other thing which really sticks out in my memory is the design of it. Everything backwards. It had two sets of wings. The front set was smaller than the back set and the wings faced inwards. Normally wings are designed the opposite way. I don't know how long it was there before I had noticed it. But when I did look up, it was there for maybe thirty seconds before it took off and disappeared into thin air. I never saw it again and never heard of any other report like it. I do remember hearing an account of how (name removed) and (name removed) (who lived at opposites ends of the Bulkley Valley) had seen the same UFO one time.

Sincerely,

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Dawson Creek, Northern B.C. Fluorescent Emerald Green Light

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: Early 1970's Time: Approx: 1:30 a.m.

This is my third sighting of what I am sure was not of this planet in the last twenty-five years. The first was on our farm 6 miles from Dawson Creek in Northern BC. In the early 70's when sitting with relatives approx. 1:30 in the morning. A large fluorescent emerald green light came down on an angle stopped and you could see a red light then shine below it and it came straight down. The next day we went over to the field we were sure it landed in and couldn't find anything. Four (non-drinking) adults saw this. The two visiting from Alberta were strong Pentecostals who do not believe in UFO's or any such thing so I tried to explain it as a plane going down - which I knew it wasn't and they said "You know that was no plane".

Thank you to the witness for the interesting report.

North Of Fort St. John Three Saucer Shaped Objects

Posted: December 26, 2007

Date: Early 1970s Time: Early afternoon

I was going to an auction sale North of Fort St. John about 30 miles in quite a remote area. It was a cold bright day. Early in the afternoon we could see the sun reflecting on something in the sky. We pulled over and parked, and behind the only small little cloud in the whole blue sky there were three saucer shaped objects staying in one position. We sat at least 15 min. and they did not move. There were no other vehicles or houses around so I'm not sure if anyone else saw them. This would have been in the early 70's.
