Bright Orange Glowing Balls Of Light Over Pittsfield Massachusetts

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  July 4, 2011

Time:  Between 9:45 p.m. and 10:00 p.m.

Just got home from watching our local fireworks and couldn't wait to Google what we saw tonight, and low and behold it sounds very similar to what you describe on your blog.

My boyfriend and I, and many other towns people, were on top of a hospital parking garage in Pittsfield, MA watching the local fireworks. There happened to be many firework displays going on around the City so that is what made us keep looking in different directions to view all of them.

All of a sudden, my boyfriend looked up and said "what the heck is that"? I turned to see what he was referring to and couldn't believe my eyes!

There was a bright orange glowing ball flying silently from the right to the left and slightly curving in it's orbit until finally disappearing in the distance. It wasn't five minutes later that another one came from the same area and traveled the same path until it disappeared, and then a third one following the same path.

I would guess that these objects were about 3/4 of a mile up in the sky. The sightings happened between 9:45 and 10:00pm, occurring about 5-7 minutes apart. Other onlookers were freaking out saying that they were UFO's and some were saying that they were "floating candles", but there was no way that these objects were dangling from a parachute and they certainly were not in a downward decent that a parachute would cause.

The size was also considerable especially to be seen from a distance. Curious to see if other people have reported any more sightings to you and do you think it is just a coincidence that this sighting also occurred on the 4th of July, 2011?

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Bright Orange Fireball With Tail Makes A Sharpe Turn Over Melbourne Australia

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  2001

Time:  6:30 p.m. - 7:00 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2 (including me).

Number of Objects: 1

Shape of Objects: Circular with a long tail.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: About 10 years ago, my mother arrived at my grandparents’ house to routinely pick me up after school. I was 16 at the time and it was late afternoon, just before dusk on what was an unusually clear and sunny spring day.

I was in the passenger seat of my mother’s car when she performed a U-turn on my grandparents' quiet street at which point, the front of the car was aligned perfectly to the north. I happened to glance up towards the top half of the windscreen, admiring the bluish-yellow hue of the sky.

As I shifted my glance to the east, I witnessed a bright orange fireball, which appeared to be flying at a fairly high altitude. It had a distinctly long, orange tail which emitted wispy clouds of very thin yet acrid looking black smoke. The object was traveling slowly along horizontal plane (from east to west).

The slow speed seemed unusual to me, but I initially dismissed it as a very bright meteorite travelling at extraordinary altitude. Suddenly, it began to change trajectory, slowly descending along the vertical. This occurred about 5-6 seconds after I had initially spotted it. At this point, I figured that it must have been a doomed aircraft which had suffered a catastrophic failure of some kind.

I exclaimed and pointed it out to my mother, who instantly slowed down to a stop, glanced up and also spotted it. The object then commenced an unbelievably tight loop, dramatically accelerating in the process. After completing this first loop, it subsequently performed another (just as tight as the last), still accelerating, yet traveling at an ungodly rate of speed.

No manned object could possibly withstand even a fraction of those G’s! Once it completed this last loop, it slingshot towards the east in an upward and traverse trajectory, gradually fading into the blue of the atmosphere. The whole incident felt like it  lasted an eternity, but in reality, the duration was no longer than 10-15 seconds.

Needless to say, I couldn’t believe what I had seen, so much so, that I after I had regained my prior composure, I asked my mother to describe her account of the incident. If she wasn’t there to concur, I probably would have dismissed it as imaginary. Prior to witnessing this event, I was an avid aircraft aficionado (in fact, I still am).

Since then, I have subsequently studied aerospace engineering, yet I’m still scratching my head on this one. By analyzing the scenario, I managed to derive some additional attributes of the object. Since it faded into the atmosphere, it must have been flying at the absolute fringe of space. Also, considering that it was clearly visible at that particular altitude and angle of elevation, it must have been huge.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Bright Orange Fiery Light Over The Eastern Shore Of Lake Ontario

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  July 24, 2011

Time:  Approxamtlty 9:30 p.m.

We have a camp on the Eastern Shore of lake Ontario. Around 9:30pm from the north to the south shore a bright orange fiery light appear to go across the sky. It was at eye level and it was not a plane the color was too bright orange to be either.

Could it have been a satellite not sure. It traveled about a minute or so in that direction, then a sharp 45 degree turn and headed west for about another minute then disappeared.

4 adults were watching and then we went back inside. About another 5 or so minutes, maybe 10 it appeared again out on the western horizon. At that point it came east towards us for about 30 seconds or so and then it was gone. What do you think.

Never believed in UFOs until last night when we seen it over Brantford.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Bright Orange Ball Over Matlock Lake Winnipeg Manitoba

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  July 23, 2011

Time:  Evening.

Hi Brian, I live in Matlock, along the shore of Lake Winnipeg. Last Saturday night, I walked to the pier to enjoy the still night with a full moon.

A couple of other people were there. Suddenly we were all watching a bright orange ball moving west to east over the lake, at 2:30 from the horizon (horizon being 3 and 9).

No sound at all, although it seemed close enough to hear it if it was a plane. The glow was in the front of it, as it moved, but it wasn’t on fire, it wasn’t falling. It was going much too fast for a plane or satellite.  As it crossed the lake it just disappeared, it didn’t fade out of sight. There, not there.

Any thoughts? I have tracked down footage of very similar online, from many locations in the worlds. I think it was a UFO. That’s my best guess.

Thank you to the witness for the report.
