Hi Brian, I'm not sure if i should report this or not since it might just be the space station but since i have never seen it before I don't know what it looks like. Last night July 30/08 at 10:10 (Surrey B.C.) I was gazing into the night sky and asked for a sign if there was anyone out there. Much to my amazement a bright light popped on (much bigger and brighter than the stars) and began moving from west to east at a fairly fast rate. When I owned a hot tub a dozen years ago I used to watch satellites moving slowly in the sky - but they were pin pricks. This was no pin prick and it was moving much quicker than the satellites moved. I called my boyfriend out to see this and ask him what he thought it was. His explanation was much more mundane thinking that it was the shuttle or the space station. We watched this light for about 2 minutes or so.
If you have an idea what this might be or if anyone else reported this Brian i would be interested to know!

Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia (Waycobah 1St Nation) White Orb (UFO)

Time: Approx: 10:00 p.m.
Location of Sighting: Cape Breton Island, Waycobah 1st Nation.
Number of witnesses: 5
Number of objects: 1 to 4
Shape of objects: Orb, extremely bright, never flashed once, very fast.
Full Description of event/sighting: Hi, five of us seen some type of white orb or craft aka UFO streak across the sky last night. There is a regular route of what appears to be passenger planes that always fly over our area in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, and there were a few passengers planes flashing red and white lights last night, however the UFO was extremely bright, not like the satellites we often see on clear nights, the satellites appears to be much further out of our atmosphere, but this UFO last night appeared larger then the passenger planes yet, a bit closer to our earth and with in our atmosphere. The UFO out paced the passenger planes by up to 5 times in speed, it, steadily moved across the sky with out making any noise and with out flashing, the bright light that radiated from the UFO type orb, was consistence, yet the speed was incredible, the passenger plane Captains had to have seen the UFO because both the passenger planes appeared to have cross paths with the UFO, the passenger plane was followed by two other passenger planes with red and white flashing lights. The passenger planes always make sounds, we can even hear them when it's cloudy.
Last night around 10:00pm the sky was very clear in our view.
My sister and her boy friend seen more much further out, but I told them those may be satellites, but they explained to me, nope those are UFO, and I explained, I've been out here many nights and seen these many times and always believed they may be satellites dishes, and I explained that they always moved northward, but after what I thought was a satellites dish left our sight, few minutes after it returned going west, so now I'm confused and they travel extremely fast when compared to the many passenger planes that pass over our territory, so we may of seen up to 4 UFO, but that one extremely bright orb was lower and that one really, really stuck in my mind!

SW Calgary, Alberta Oblong Object Leaves Behind A Glowing Streak

Shape of objects: Oblong.
Full Description of event/sighting: I was on our deck looking south at 2:00 am Thursday morning. It was a very clear night, with many stars in sight. A bright streak came across the sky, moving east to west, horizontally. My first thought was "look at that falling star", but before a further second went by, I realized this was much different. The white streak in the sky left by the glowing object was so long and vibrant, I've never seen anything like it in my life! My sight line was interrupted by the roof of the house next to ours, so I ran to the edge of the deck to look between our houses and see if I could keep seeing this thing to the west, but it was completely gone. No sound, no further light. The whole thing as I witnessed it lasted about 5 seconds. It was incredible. I don't know if it could be a meteor or fireball or anything like that, but it was so low and so glowing - and the light streak - was thick, bright white, and so long! I would love any insight as to what that may have been. I can't seem to find anything on the Internet, and frankly, I don't even know how to begin researching something like this!

Kelowna, British Columbia A Large Orange Flame Like Cloud

Location of Sighting: Kelowna, B.C.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Large, orange flame like cloud.
Full Description of event/sighting: Was outside with a friend in Kelowna, when he spotted what looked like smoke from a fire and as we tried to see in the dark a large orange flame seemed to grow in the north sky. Judging from a tree close to us it appeared that the flame was rather far away and we assumed that there was a forest fire in the mountains towards Vernon. The glow lasted about 2 minutes and never traveled anywhere. In the morning we went outside to see if we could see anything better in the day light but where the flame was compared to the tree that we had used to judge its location it was well above any mountain in that direction. This left us completely baffled.

Parkland Region, Manitoba A Bright Object Returns The Next Night

Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian, I hope things find you well, my friend. I was at my lake in the Parkland Region in Manitoba, over the weekend and just got back today. I went out on Friday and had a clear sky all weekend. While sitting with a couple friends, Friday night by the lake shore. I was witness to something I am having troubles with. Maybe you can give me your thoughts or maybe some one knows the answer. Let me explain. It was Friday night, approximately 9:30 pm and the sun had just gone down minutes before that. There were no stars, no space station, no nothing in the sky as it was still too light out.
As I happened to look up, I saw a very bright object traveling very quickly across the sky from west to east. I pointed it out immediately to the two others there, as we watched, I said, "Anyone ever see anything like that?" The responses were, "no".
What we were watching appeared to be very bright, at least 5 times brighter than the space station appears. It also appeared to be quite large.
As it flew over head I could not place it as a satellite. It was far too low and it also appeared to be lower than a jetliner that was at full altitude. I say that with confidence as I watched a passenger jet liner pass by in the opposite direction and the object passed it very quickly. As it moved on to the east I could tell by the angle of it as it reach closer to the horizon that it was fairly low in comparison.
We watched it for about a minute and a half. It could be seen for a very great distance as it flew off towards the horizon.
There was no sounds and there was not flashing lights. It was a bright white light that emanated from it.
About two hours later as I sat alone by the campfire when the same thing again as I relaxed looking up a the sky. It passed by and I watched as clearly as before. I thought that maybe it was a satellite after all. But never have I seen one so huge and so bright and appear so low.
The next night, Saturday night I made sure I was out at the same time. I had no watch, but could very easily tell it was only minutes before the space station could be seen to the south and there it was again. The same in appearance and the same in flight path.
I know that satellites do not take 2 hours to orbit. It is closer to 24 hours. I know what they look like as I have seen satellites for all of my life and I have seen the night sky with out light interference for over 30 years.
I know meteorites and it was not one.
I know of the satellites that come and go. They are like clock work and I can tell time by the ones I see at night and I can turn my head knowing exactly where they will be and where they are heading as the night goes on.
I have never in my life, seen anything like this and would like any input that can be shared, to help figure this one out.

North of Barrie, Ontario Unknown Object

Time: Approximately 10:15 p.m.
Location: 1/2 Hour North of Barrie
My dad and I were star gazing tonight watching for satellites and shooting stars. We spotted our first satellite and followed it as it made its way across the sky from South West towards the North. Approximately 5 minutes later we watched another satellite follow the same path as the one previous. All of a sudden something caught our eye. What we thought to be another satellite crossed the path of the other and headed from the North West direction towards the south. We thought that it was very peculiar that this satellite was not traveling in the same direction of the others. What was even more weird was that it was extremely bright and moving a considerable speed faster than any satellite that either of us had observed before. It was definitely not a plane as it did not have flashing lights.
