Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian, I was sitting on my front porch, reading when the doorbell rang, my girlfriend and daughter answered the door as it was a friend up the block with her daughter. I could hear the four of them talking when the visiting lady friend suddenly pointed for everyone to look at a spot about a block half away, asking "what is that"?! The four of them stood looking for several seconds at something my girlfriend has a very hard time describing. She said it was massive, and soundless as she pointed out the spot to myself outside. The size approximately a quarter held at arms length, making it extremely large indeed considering only a block half away. The shape, impossible to described. It was in two parts, part above larger than the bottom piece, both grey-shark skin or stone/granite colored. Any light reflecting off it was absorbed by these objects making it impossible to focus on them properly. At the same time distinctly there and solid, later my girlfriend passionately explained she felt cheated not being able to really see something so big and close, even though she had her glasses on.
The second smaller object trailing underneath (shadowing the object perfectly) started to change shape, the right end of it dropped downward looking as if turning to liquid, pouring downward seemingly "dripping" off the edge of an invisible plate, and then lower down taking form as if in an invisible odd shaped glass. I hope this description doesn't confuse anything, so hard to describe (sigh) Where is Spielberg when you need him!! The bottom thing looked as if it were three huge balls undulating, rolling around inside a grey colored sack. Fuzzy texture, not smooth and reflective. The top object retained its shape all the time while the bottom object spun around, flipped and morphed all the while shadowing the above object, it wasn't attached but still stayed with it in total precision (like magnetically attracted and repulsed). Impossible to totally focus on them.
Now, strangely, the visiting neighbor woman and her child looked away from it, and inexplicably continuing with the conversation as if nothing happened, my girlfriend thought it odd as she was still inadvertently staying with the object till it moved slowly disappeared behind the side of the house. Maybe 10 -15 seconds approx: until she called me to see it. I heard her say "it isn't a helicopter".
I stood up off the chair and quickly scanned over the neighborhood and found it!, I saw it, although now it was much smaller, telling me later it had moved away and to the right from the four of them, it was now directly in front of me and at the end of the street, could only be described as a large black blob of something with another blob below it rotating and moving, twisting. Eerie to say the least. Creeped out beyond belief. I ran into the house going for the video camera. Coming back out I noticed it bigger and coming towards me, I lifted the camera and tried to get it to record but it wouldn't work! I'd hit the record button, instead of the usual one (bleep) and record, I got two beeps and nothing. Later inspection a setting on it had been changed and I didn't know it existed. Using it over two years now I had to hold the button down and didn't know it, that setting had never changed before. So I'd hit the record button and let go, and it wouldn't record. I needed now to hold it down stupidly. This instantly frustrated me and for some reason I got scared. Thinking why after two years of using this, isn't it working?! I'd re-cued the tape, checked it over knowing valuable seconds of filming time were ticking away. Nothing worked. Meanwhile looking up it still was coming towards and over me and to the right, gaining altitude.
Thinking about it later, while fumbling with the camera not working I had this instant urge to not look at it, crazily feeling if the camera wasn't working I shouldn't look at it with the zoom, crazy as sounds, hard to describe, I wasn't thinking that at that moment in my brain but I was acting it out physically, not looking, only later realizing that was what I was thinking and why? why didn't I look at it through the viewfinder close up? I could have seen it so close. I could have cried Brian, still kicking myself and out of my character. I was concentrating so hard on trying to get the camera going and can't understand why I didn't zoom in on it to have a peek, even if the camera wouldn't work. Thinking several days later it felt at the time like either "it", or some primitive "hard-wired-brain response-type thing was in control. Sounds crazy but, I've experienced that in past sightings but never to this degree.
Maybe 10 km fast, direction of flight started towards them and to the right slowly. Then quickly away from us as I looked at it, continuing to the right, as I tried to film it, it went slowly towards me and up and to the right,high into the sky but still very visible and disappearing over the roof of the neighbors house. My girlfriend and daughter went out back to see it but couldn't. Later looking at the camera I noticed a small button that had switched for the first time to the manual record mode. Too much and a chance of a lifetime and the button got moved. In two years of using this camera the record mode had never been moved. Murphy's Law to the extreme. The daughter is only 8 so we didn't bring it up to her. She will bring it up in her own time when ready we hope. The only thing she said was, "could have that been aliens? and, "it had red sparkles on it". Not knowing what to say to her, I explained it must have been a bunch of balloons. Hope somebody else saw this. My wrist is sore from typing now I hope it's all for something.

Saint-Alphonse-de-Rodriguez, Quebec Orange Round Object

Date: August 25, 2005 Time: Early evening
We were visiting my brother-in-law at his cottage, located at Saint-Alphonse-de-Rodriguez. At the end of the day we went outside with my grand-daughter so she could play with the sparklers in front of the chapel and the fountain. I took pictures of my grand-daughter, then the chapel. All the pictures were taken without a flash. My camera is a Nikon D-70. I turned around and I took shots of Lake Stevens. The cottage is located on a cliff that's about 140 or 150 feet high and overlooking the lake. It was dark and the moon was absent. The cottage is surrounded by trees on 65 acres of land.
I was not looking, I didn't see anything and I didn't adjust the lens. When I downloaded the pictures, I was surprised to see the orange round object. I must have taken the picture at an angle because if I zoom on the object I can see circles underneath and I can see an orange glow emanating on the left side of the picture. I will send you the picture if you want it.

Westend In Vancouver, B.C. A Stationary Object

Hi Brian, I live in the westend in Vancouver,BC. I live in a high-rise and love to sit out on my balcony at night and relax before going to bed. On some clear nights I notice a peculiar bright star, I say peculiar only when you are viewing it through the binoculars. It seems to have an assortment of colored lights, red, green and blue. When I view other stars through the binoculars they are not like this one. This is my first summer in this apartment and this star was in the direction of southwest. Last year in my other apartment around the same season (summer) where my windows faced north I saw this same kind of star but in was in the northeastern direction. Any explanation as to the colors. Is it a planet?
By the way, I too saw from my balcony a stationary object in the southwestern direction described almost exactly like the man from Airdrie, Alberta in 2004. It was too far away to determine a row of lights but it behaved the same way, stationary for at least one half hour and some sort of light reflecting off it. I even called a friend who also lives in a high-rise and he saw it too. This was at 9:15 pm on Aug 25,2005. It eventually was covered by dark clouds from below.

Ucluelet, B.C. (Kennedy Lake) Objects, Burns And Unexplained Marks

Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 2 Shape of objects: Two were different, one larger white, other green flashing.
Full Description of event/sighting: My friend called my attention to the sky South of us, where a bright white round object could be very clearly seen at least several times wider than the brightest object in the sky. A second light flashed intermittently white and lime green flashing about each 5-6 seconds for 2-3 seconds per flash. I am a trained military observer having been in the 748th communications troop in the Armed Forces of Canada.
This was not the usual aircraft flashing green starboard light, as it was lime green, and moved like it was suspended below the above much brighter white object. The white object moved in a shallow U shape arc dipping downward then upward, and about twenty seconds and three flashes of the lower object after we started to watch it, it grew much brighter and the seemed to pan the cosmos like a motorcycle headlight through the fog. (Sky was extremely clear and we were 30 km from nearest light source or town of Ucluelet.)
The light panned from Southwest to West and then straight over the beach we were camped on and illuminated the entire North shore of the lake. It was so bright it seemed a huge camera flash had gone off. We both were very excited and later somewhat frightened.the objects then continued in a slow arc upward and then suddenly sped away in in a Northeasterly upward arc increasing to extremely relative high speed and decreased in brightness and were finally not visible having been observed for 45-60 seconds. the lower object was seen to flash about seven to eight times and followed the identical arc as the above object, and the two object were about 5-6 times the widths of a full moon apart.
My friend and I were very excited, perplexed, frightened and had a hard time falling asleep. I asked immediately what time it was as I wasn't wearing a watch, and it was 3:20 a.m. I awoke the next day and the first thought through my head was what the hell did I see last night. I also had no doubt then, whatsoever, that we are not the most intelligent species here in the Universe. It deeply effected me. It also troubled my friend and we told others that had been asleep at the time and camped nearby what we had seen. My mom is quite conservative, yet I phoned and told her and told her what I had seen, having no doubt what I had seen and not caring what my mother would think of my telling her what I saw. (I'm 40 years old).
We told many people and two days afterward someone came to the beach and said it had been on CNN and was reported in Port Alberni and was also seen in some other country.
We had no campfire that night and were just about ready to sleep when we saw the objects. My friend was not himself after for two weeks, being very aggressive and not his usual passive self. I was not acting like myself afterwards and damn near got myself in trouble with my sort of "end of the world" attitude.
I noticed that I had a burn on my right calf on the inside and my friend had several unexplained marks on his legs. It has been two months and my leg hasn't healed completely. Other injuries I have gotten in the bush that were worse healed in less than two weeks.
I had thought it strange that when I asked my friend the time, it 3:20 because we both had to work the next morning and I was sure we retired to our sleeping bags just after midnight and had seen the objects within fifteen to twenty minutes of laying down.
We pick edible Chanterelle mushrooms at Kennedy Lake and were not drunk or altered in consciousness in any way at the time.
I still can't understand why it was so late and where the burn came from as we wanted to get to sleep early and didn't build a fire after arriving at the lake at midnight.
When we heard the object was witnessed by others and was on TV we were both very excited and almost relieved to have the whole thing validated by someone else's observations. I think it was the 14th or 15th of August.

Pointe-Des-Cascades Quebec Flying Object Lands

Hi Brian, I'm really glad you wrote back I didn't expect a response since I thought the site was more of a blog than anything else. It's ironic that I read your email just now as I have just finished watching a do*****entary on the Discovery Channel about Area 51. Very Interesting, it dealt more with cases being tried in court on behalf of former workers at the site. The workers were exposed to highly toxic chemicals while burning wreckage from crash test aircraft in the 60's and 70's such as U2 spy planes etc. Some of these workers died and their family was given no recognition or compensation for their spouses having died doing a government job.
nyway back to the UFO incident I have a very rough picture of the original picture snapped with a digital camera just a few days ago. My sister is good friends not only with the witness who took the picture that I have seen but her boyfriend is also good friends with other 1st hand witnesses who were at the restaurant. I will try to get him to contact these people and see what they have to say. I got some more information on the incident and found out that the location of the restaurant is in Pointe-des-Cascades Qc. if I am not mistaken (it's called sunnies restaurant). Apparently there were people there with video cameras as well.
I was trying to attach the picture of the picture that I have but I can't seem to find it on my computer at the moment which is ironically inconvenient but if you have msn messenger you can add this address and see a smaller version of it while chatting to me. Like I described in my previous correspondence the incident occurred around 6:30 pm in the late summer of this year hence the photo has the appearance of being taken during the sunset. Furthermore this is a pic of a pic hence it is fairly dark and the shape of the top of the shuttle on a flatbed it derisible but not much else. My sister's good friend who has the original pic says that the name of the flatbed company who towed it is visible in the picture hence perhaps you could inquire as to what the deal is with this situation through them once I get a hold of that info.

Port Au Port Peninsula, Newfoundland Ball Had A Blueish Radiant Aura

Full Description of event/sighting: The first sighting was during a campfire at Picadillly Park on the Port au Port Peninsula located on the west coast of Newfoundland, where my wife, her sister and I were camping. Looking up, I thought I saw a regular satellite, streaming across the SW section of the sky. I was alarmed suddenly, because when I looked closer, I could almost make out the shape of the 'satellite' with my naked eye. The white "ball" had a blue-ish radiant aura surrounding it. I quickly pointed it out to the woman watching and we observed it cross overhead, appearing to gain in size by about 50% until stopping completely among the constellations directly overhead. Still a large white ball, (approx: 3 times the size of Venus) It began to get smaller and smaller while moving ever so much to the right. It appeared to be getting further and further away. The woman watching this and I then had a contest to see who could see it the longest, until just as small as the most perceptible star it was gone. The size of a pin prick in the sky, faint and pale then gone. What was that? Surely, not the satellite we initially believed.
