Orange Crescent Moon Object Over Mount Arrowsmith Port Alberni Vancouver Island British Columbia

Date: February 14, 2011
Time: Night time sighting.

I live on an open parcel of land surrounded by trees on all sides, I was taking the dog for her nightly walk on February 14, 2011 through an open field. Towards the west I noticed a light almost at treetop level, partly covered by the first layer of trees. The light which was actually in a clearing, was orange in colour and shaped like an upside down crescent moon and from the scale of the trees, it appeared to be about 10 feet long and about 50 feet from the ground.

In order to get a better view, we walked along the grassy field up a small hill, only to find that the object was slowly moving in the same direction. By the time we reached the top of the hill the object was still not as visible as I hoped because it kept moving, and it also started disintegrating starting at one end of the crescent slowly to the other end.

There was no noise and no outline of anything and the dog totally ignored it. The whole episode took about 5 minutes. There was a crescent moon shining through partial clouds near Mount Arrowsmith which is about 15 miles away, but I could find no local fog or low clouds or anything that could reflect the moons light, especially to create the flame orange colour.

Has anyone else seen anything similar ?

Crescent Shaped Object Over Langford Vancouver Island British Columbia ?

Date: February 6, 2011
Time: Approx: 9:30 p.m.

Vike Factor Note: There has been a beautiful crescent Moon to be seen. Some photos were taken by folks and posted on Space Weather.com. Here is a couple of links to these photos which were taken on February 4, 2011.

Hey I am (name removed). Me my mom and her boyfriend all saw the same crescent shaped object. It was about 9:30, we were sitting outside and my mom noticed this object that appeared at first to be the moon, but upon closer inspection was definitely not.

The object was low in the horizon, it was very large and round with a bright orange crescent at the bottom. The rest of it was very dark.

We watched it for about five minutes and then all of a sudden it started to move downward completely out of sight from us behind the mountain. This happened in the period of about 5 seconds.

I myself could not tell the objects distance in the horizon, but am shocked at how big I think it is. It was not the moon, the moon doesn't move rapidly like that.

Please contact me and let me know if there's any updates about this topic because I was very scared when I witnessed this.

Additional Information:

I saw this on Vancouver Island, Langford B.C., Canada. I don't know how far away it was, or how big exactly, but it seemed to me it was a very large object, round, with an illuminated crescent on the bottom. Very disturbing when it moved from a stand still and disappeared in the horizon behind the mountains.

Half Moon Shaped UFO Seen Towards Fishing Lake Saskatchewan Canada

Date: 1996 (?)
Time: Approx: 10:00 p.m.

About 14 years ago, me and a friend of mine were driving east down Highway 5 (Saskatchewan, Canada) towards Fishing lake around 10:00pm or later. We noticed a half moon shaped object in the sky, which we assumed was the moon, in fact, was not. We were blown away because we knew where the moon was and slowed down to figure out what the hell this was.

As we came to a stop, the object got smaller and then just disappeared. We continued on our way, completely shocked and freaked out. We reached our destination and told some people about what we saw. Of coarse, laughter ensued. We left shortly there after still wondering what we had saw.

Of coarse, UFO was the topic. I dropped off my friend and we decided that this was better off left unsaid. To this day, I still think about it. Then when I Googled the object description, I came across this article. I was once again shocked. Weird.

Crescent Moon Shaped UFO Seen Over Pembroke Ontario

Date: July 11, 2010
Time: Approx: 11:00 p.m.

Last night me and two friends (currently working in Pembroke and attending Algonquin College in the Fall) were hanging out on my deck. It probably has the highest viewpoint in Pembroke and I can see 360 degrees of horizon. So as you can imagine, most of our time is spent looking up at the sky. After sunset, and when it had gotten completely dark, I'd say around 11:00pm, we saw something that looked like a crescent moon, but was orange.

It moved in ways that I have never seen in any conventional aircraft, or anything that I could identify. My friend said "we definitely just saw a UFO, but are too dumb to do anything about it" Today I Googled UFO Ottawa and happened upon your site. Pembroke is only a half hour from the Petawawa army base, so it's not uncommon for us to see flares and mortars in the air at night, but this was way too high up, and moved far to erratically to be any sort of munitions I have knowledge of.

Clarksville, Nova Scotia A Moon Sized Red/Orangey Fireball

Posted: September 14, 2008

Date: March 24, 2008
Time: 1:19

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Fireball.
Weather Conditions: Clear.

Description: Hi Brian, I've been reading daily the updates on your site since the day of this sighting. I figured this "fireball" was perhaps not worthy of a report, but I can't help but notice your interest in them each time one is posted. Do you have an opinion on what they could be? Here is what happened.

I'm not a very good sleeper and often lay awake looking at the stars trying to fall asleep. I had turned away from the window view and quite frankly, I had the urge to turn back - when all of the sudden, just above the tree tops, 2 to 3 hundred feet away, travelling parallel to the curve of the land was this huge (like moon size) red/orangey fireball! It had no tail that I recalled. Just a huge and I mean massive fireball.

I've never leaped out of bed so fast! My spouse woke as I jumped to the window asking what was going on. Well, all I could come up with was - "I just saw the most spectacular falling star!" not even close to what I saw- but else could I say. I figured with it's flight path that perhaps it crashed into the fields across the road. I also felt if a meteor of this size had impacted, I wouldn't be still here. I spent time the following days scouting the fields and woodland for any sign.

During the following winter, I saw three dull orange orbs in a triangle formation flying northeast from my patio doors. It was dark out , so there was no outline of a craft that I could see. They didn't break formation, so it could have been one craft. They were low to the ground, just above treetop. There were no blinking lights and considering how close they were to the house, I would have heard the noise of a plane if it had been one. Puzzles me still.

Thank-you, and I wish you well.
