Time:  Between 9:00 - 9:30 p.m.

I have been fascinated by the subject of UFOs since I was a small child, I'm 24 now. Around October time of 2003, I happened to have a sighting. It was probably around 9:00 -9:30 pm. I was walking back from the shops to the block of flats where I lived with my mother at the time, when an egg shaped object flew above me. It moved without sound, point forwards, with a tail of light (maybe as long as the craft itself), south-east-south over the road and disappeared above the flats where I lived. 

There are a number of variables that make this sighting hard to describe. Its speed, I suppose, could be comparable to the speed of a jet plane when viewed from the ground, namely very slow but if this thing was flying at the same height as a plane then it was about the size of a football field.

You see the problem. If I make a guess at size, speed, or altitude then all other factors have to change accordingly. Added to this is the fact that it happened two years ago and it was a clear night (no clouds = no frame of reference). If I had to guess though I would say it was moving at around ten miles an hour and was the size of a school bus, maybe 75 feet high. 

My second problem is in actually describing the object itself. As I have already said it was egg shaped flying silently point forwards with a tail of light following behind it. It was the way it was lit that is hard to describe. It was seemingly lit from within, white/orange and white/yellow but it was not transparent. Maybe a better description would be than it seemed to be superheated.

It's my opinion that most of us, even those who want to believe are completely grounded in reality and not really well equipped to deal with events dubbed paranormal. I don't mean to say that we panic but that we have a hard time with acceptance. 

Maybe that's just me. As a result I have spent the last two years half doubting what I saw. You have to wonder how many people experience such things yet don't report them out of just such skepticism or fear of ridicule. Luckily I have faced no ridicule but I have faced incredulity from the people I have told. I can't blame them for this, I doubted myself after all.

This morning came like a wakeup call. What I saw was no conventional aircraft, it was not swamp gas, Venus, or streetlight reflecting of duck buts and pardon the expression, but if that was a comet or meteor then we would all be goofed right now.

What I saw was something else.

Red Orange Light Seen Over Seaton Devon England UK

Time:  2:10 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 2

Sighting lasted for 30 minutes minimum.

Strange light, orange - red in colour. Mainly just above Orion's belt but moves constantly. Not sure on distance or size. Erratic movement. Somewhat similar to a Chinese lantern, however I've set lanterns off. I watched this light for a length of time, any Chinese lantern would of burnt out long before. Nothing light a satellite or meteorite I've ever seen before.

Definitely orangey-red in colour. Size I couldn't even guess nor the shape except it definitely didn't look spherical. Sorry I can't be more precise. The brightness varied, kept fading and brightening up again. At one point it became quite bright before fading again, that's when I saw some kind of non spherical shape.

Size: Afraid I couldn't even hazard a guess. Estimating sizes I just can't do.

Description of Area/Surroundings: I live right on the South coast of England. A little town called Seaton. Very small town, very very little light pollution and to my knowledge no military bases in the surrounding area nor power plants. No weather or research stations. Just a quiet little seaside fishing areas.

Full Description & Details: So I was having a smoke from my balcony and saw this. As I said. It was most definitely an Orange-Red colour, very bright and clear. I first noticed it just above Orion's belt and to the left.

At first I thought it was simply something you could see at this time of year, a planet maybe or a bright star of note. I thought I was seeing things at first, but after watching for some time it was definitely moving.

It's movement was erratic, there seemed to be no pattern as such except a vague circular motion as it traveled right towards Orion's belt. It stayed there for sometime, flitting up, down, left and right in no particular order. The whole time it was getting brighter as if moving closer or becoming more intense and then fading again until it disappeared.

This is when I thought it was a Chinese lantern. Just as I was about to head back in after finishing my smoke, it suddenly appeared again, this time lower down and back left of Orion's belt. It made the same vague circular movement before fading and appearing back above Orion's belt.

I ran to get my phone, but, unfortunately the video cam on it wasn't good enough to get any footage. I ran in, checked the internet. Several things are visible in our skies around this time of year but none of them correlate to what I was seeing and definitely nothing matching the movement.

So I went back to the balcony to watch. It was still above Orion's belt, flitting about in all directions still. It didn't seem to stay in one place statically. It wasn't moving particular fast, but definitely enough to notice it was never static.

While I was watching this second time it almost looked as if it was coming closer. For a brief couple of second whatever it was looked like it turned and I could clearly see some kind of shape. It wasn't just a spherical item, it definitely had shape. What shape exactly I can't be sure of.

I went back in to contact a couple of friends to see if they could see it as well. Unfortunately just as I'd sent the message our skies became overcast and clouds prevented me from seeing anything. This has happened literally within the hour. I was watching it for a good 20 minutes - half an hour before trying to see if anyone else could see it.

Can sighting be explained as any conventional man-made or natural object?

I can't be 100% sure obviously. But I have checked charts online and various websites. I can't find anything that could explain something of this colour, distance or location for this time of the year. It didn't resemble a meteorite or satellite in any way I've seen before and a Chinese lantern would of burnt out within the time I was watching.

Not much to tell really. I'm 22, pretty average. Work for the family business. Studied animal management at college. Definitely a believer in anything unusual or things that can't be disproved but also I do like to try to work out a scientific or already known reason first. Somewhat try to disprove myself before I believe. 

I have always been a believer in life other than ours. I believe in a lot of spiritual beliefs, energy based beliefs, the paranormal. Anything where there is no proof that it cannot exist, I believe however I haven't ever seen any UFO sightings to my knowledge before this encounter.

I did notice online that this month there have been other somewhat similar experiences from people around the Orion's belt constellation.

People Watch Jet Fighters Chase UFOs Over Teeside North East England UK

Hello, I am new to this and for your information I never believed in any of this. I've never been compelled to do something like this and was more on the skeptics side until April 15th, 2011. I could not believe this was happening to me and the thousands of other witnesses across Teeside, northeast England.

It was around 10:30 p.m. and two or three R.A.F Typhoon fighter planes roared over us at very, very low altitude. People in the street were watching as the fighter planes chased this all most phosphorus lights which were changing colour and with ease out maneuvering the military jets.

You could clearly see the typhoons after burner (which is highly illegal over populated land) and they were not training. 

The following week and the local news paper arrived I was looking at the photos and the story when it said "thousands watched the illegal, but spectacular phenomenon take place and the emergency services phone lines were overwhelmed with the public reporting the UFO and the chase and with the local air port receiving information and if it was visible on radar the chief A.T.C controller said "I can confirm that at 10:41 pm on the 15 April 2011 some unidentified aerial object's were intercepted by civilian and military radar and R.A.F typhoons were dispatched from R.A.F Leaming to identify and if needed take action to neutralize the object's if posed a threat to civilian air craft or the civilian population.

The craft after been intercepted, vanished and as such the threat was no longer there and the military jets returned to base. I can not give nor comment on this phenomena as I don't have any knowledge on this only that it was witnessed by the thousands and that it happened".(Gazzete media company)

Hi mate, saw your post on some site after searching on Google for any information on this Orange thing.

So, I'm not alone then :)

I was on the back doorstep last night having a smoke and this thing was moving across the sky very fast, to the right of it (as I looked) was a big old Jumbo and that is the only sound I could hear. The Jumbo was showing the normal red, green lights, small things in comparison to this big, bright orange thing.

When the Jumbo sound moved on I was left with silence and this big orange thing in the sky, I actually thought something in the sky was on fire to be honest.

From where I was looking, it wasn't a round orb though, it was more of a series of bright orange lights in a line, but blending into each other. It came pretty much right over my house.

I really felt good having finally seen something I can't explain and believe me, I have never seen anything in the sky like that before. I'm not saying it's not an aircraft, but it's still a UFO for me because I cannot identify it.

It really was pretty awesome!

I'm in Eltham btw and the time could have been anytime between 9:30 and 10:30-ish. Cheers mate.

Amber Lights Over Colliers Wood South London England UK

Time:  Evening.

Obviously I found your sighting after Googling UFO sightings.

Last night I/we saw exactly the same thing you seen back in September. But to ad to the drama of the evening, was the sudden maneuver of two very big planes with landing lights on. Something we have never seen before in the 8 years living at Colliers Wood.

Because I have seen an unexplained silent light approximately 23 years ago back in New Zealand, I nervously and clumsily had to get the sliding balcony door open in order to listen, because to me sound is the only thing that can practically explain these lights and the pace in which they were travelling at.

Anyway there was a gap in sound whilst the two large planes flew off in to distances and I can tell you the last of the amber lights was making no sound.

Whilst I was doing my sound test the flat-mate ran off to find his binoculars and then we both headed out to the rear of the property, the direction or path of the lights. By this time there was only one fading light left.

Then like a switch, the light was turned off, but my flat-mate through his binoculars could see a dark shadow still there were the light was.

I am left wondering if you have had, as a result to your posting a  practical explanation because Iridium flares, weather balloons just doesn't explain it.

Saucer Shaped UFO And 6 To 10 Beams Of Light Looked Like Engine Exhaust England Midlands U.K.

Time:  Midnight.

Number of witnesses: 3

Shape of objects: Round (most likely a saucer, maybe a ball).

Full Description of event/sighting: For sometime I taken a lot of interest in the UFO phenomenon and the further I went, the more undeniable the facts became. A couple of years ago I saw a UFO with my very own eyes and so did other people that were with me at that time.

Before my sighting I still had a small doubt, but when I saw it above me (us), turning from an ordinary satellite orbiting the earth into a star that was moving in a zigzag patterns for some time. It then descended from all the way up there to quite a low altitude so we could see the actual ship (all noiseless at all the time).

From below it looked like the usual thing, saucer or a ball (not likely but still) but definitely round and with about 6 -10 beams coming from underneath (not like spot lights). They were located not in the center or neither on the edges of a ship, but kind of in the center of the radius. (Sorry bout my English it's my second language.

Those beams looked more like rocket engine exhausts or a turbo lighter's flame. They had bright orange, red, blue, yellow in them. I couldn't really distinguish the color from underneath, neither could identify the altitude it was hovering at). Hovered for about 5-10 seconds then shot back up into a small light (looked like a star or a satellite again) and continued moving in zigzags until it went over the trees and was no longer visible.

Since then I am sure that there is a conspiracy going on to cover-up the truth about the existence or a well advanced before it's time military project that people should know about, either way we aren't being told the truth. I saw something I can't explain or identify and I'm sure there are many others that are wondering too after they've seen them.

P.S. Majority of the people, even close friends that I've told what I've seen, just grinned and laughed at me. I don't know who I can talk to, someone who can share information or just give me a hint (glimpse) of what it really is and what's going on. If you think its worth it, then please let me join or redirect me.
