Number of witnesses: 1
Number of Objects: 1-2.
Shape of Objects: Round.
Full Description of Event/Sighting: The sighting occurred on August 9, 2011 at approximately 9:00pm est. The object/s are traveling west to east at estimated height of 10,000 feet or less at a fairly slow speed.
I am estimating the height by the storm clouds which the object was traveling under. When the object passed overhead it turned into two objects side by side.
There were no sounds present emanating
from the objects.
When I first noticed the object, there was a sound that seemed like a high speed jet fighter which only lasted for a couple of seconds and was never heard again. The sound seemed to come from the general direction of my sighting, but could not confirm on the visual.
My GPS location is: 39 deg 52’ 20.37” N 82deg 58’ 58.66” W This translates to near the intersection of I270 and SR23 in southern Franklin County Ohio.
I have video, but quality is poor.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Shape of Objects: Triangle.
Full Description of Event/Sighting: My husband and I went outside for a cigarette. I looked up and saw a very bright light and asked my husband what it was. He looked up and we both saw this light (traveling south to north) go from very bright to very dim, then it was just gone.
About 10 seconds later the dim light reappeared, dropped down very quickly, split into three and shot back southeast for about 15 seconds and then disappeared. When it split into three, it appeared to change from a white light to 3 dull grey objects.
At that time the three objects seemed to take on a triangle formation. We stayed outside for a while, but it never reappeared. We do live close to the airport, but have been here for 10 years and have never seen anything like it before.
We have discussed whether it could have been a plane, but even the F-18's that often do maneuvers in the area, don't move that fast.

Hello Brian,
Witness's: 3.
This object was sighted by me when sitting at my computer desk.
At first I thought it was a star, then looked at it through binoculars and seen it had a shape so I began to tape it.
The object moved from the tree, then sat a few seconds moved a little more then it splits into 2 objects.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

The sighting you describe is almost identical to what I saw in a field over Cape Girardeau, MO. It was a little past 11:00pm early August 2008. I was with one friend and we were walking down the road. We stopped for a bit by a field and just stood there.
We were looking at the stars and then he saw a giant bright ball of light and pointed it out to me. It looked like it was slowly falling for a little bit and then just stopped in midair, and then the single ball split into 5 white orbs that just seemed to stay there.
We stood there speechless and could not believe what we were seeing. Then after moving a little the 5 lights just shot off into the sky and disappeared almost instantly.
I have been a very strong believer ever since that experience and I've searched everywhere to see if just anyone had seen it and as I sat here reading your sighting my hair stood up. Please reply as soon as you can.
Could you draw the formation of the balls of light or comic of how they split and id gladly do the same. Thank you.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: I first saw a red light in the night sky southwest and thought it might be a satellite. I saw no movement, but the light grew into 2 bright orange globes and then was gone as if a door was shut.
The sighting lasted a few seconds and a minute or so later 2 airplanes flew over, one large and one small. Commercial planes. Would like to know if anyone else saw it.

About 6:10 a.m.
Message: Hello! I just found your site while browsing and thought I'd like to relate my UFO experience of approximately ten years ago. Now retired, I once worked for the city of Nelson B.C.
I left for work one morning at my usual time of about 6:10 a.m. I believe it was early Spring, probably March. I had to drive about four miles west of town, pick up my work mate and then the two of us would continue to our work site just a couple miles west of town which is downstream on the Kootenay river.
This morning was cool and the narrow valley we live in and at that time, can have patches of fog hanging above the river here and there. The road to my workmates home climbs up in the valley and I can get a view down towards the river.
As I'm travelling along, I looked toward the river and noticed what looked to me to be a large tubular balloon (like a sausage) with three large lights along its side. Each light slowly blinking a different colour.
Although I looked down toward it, it seemed to be floating along, perhaps 100 feet above the river in a horizontal direction downstream. Suddenly it disappeared as it entered into a patch of fog.
I picked up my buddy, and mentioned it to him on our way to work. My best guess as to it’s size would be possibly five feet thick and twenty feet long, a ratio of 1:4.
Two mornings later, he said that he also had seen it, the evening before. We couldn't figure it out, so soon forgot about it. I must apologize, as this is not the correct module to be typing this account. Sorry for the inconvenience!
The name of the area is called Taghum and is popular for UFOs due to a series of hydro electric generating stations nearby. Sincerely.
Thank you to the witness for their interesting report.

Time: Approximately 4:05 a.m.
I was over at Country Wide Stationary
today (March 4, 2003) and a fellow had read the logo on my winter coat.(UFO
Research Logo). He asked what it was all about, in which I explained what it
was I was up to.
This man, a logging truck operator left the town of Houston driving up the Morice River Road heading approximately 100 kilometers out across the Reach to pick up a load of logs.
He went on to say when he reached the 30 kilometers mark on the Morice River Road, he witnessed "one" bright white light high in the sky heading in his direction. As the light got closer to him, he watched the light split up into two parts, with both pieces flying in different directions. He said one part went west and the other east.
What was so amazing was that the two lights shot back up into the sky and disappeared. The sighting lasted approximately 6 to 7 seconds at the most.
He was so surprised and excited at what he
just saw, he got on the trucks radio and asked other drivers on the road if
anyone had witnessed what he just did. Two other drivers who were in the same
area reported back to him that they also witnessed the same thing.
Brian Vike’s Note: I have the name of one
of the other drivers and will be speaking to him tomorrow to take his report. I
was told that a number of logging truck drivers on their early morning hauls
have seen a number of strange things in the sky, so I am also looking into
these as well. Also I had a telephone call from a fellow from Prince Rupert
today.
He asked if I would be around today as he wanted to drop in on his way to Alberta. I met with him at my home and we had a really nice visit. He also told me about an amazing sight he witnessed in the Prince Rupert area. I am certainly going to be taking the trip up to visit with him later on when he comes home from Alberta.
Thank you to the witness for the report.

10:15 p.m.
Dear Brian Vike, I too saw something strange in the sky, however this was the night of August 7th, 2003.
Here's my story: My husband and I have a summer home at Sakinaw Lake which is on the Sunshine Coast in BC. One of my favorite things to do at night is to star gaze from the middle of the lake. The sky is so clear there compared to the city.
Anyways, on August 7th, I took my star gazing gear (blanket, pillow and flashlight) with me on my peddle boat and like usual snuggled down once I got to the middle of the lake. I usually stay out for a couple of hours and watch the shooting stars before peddling back to our home.
On this night approximately 10:15 p.m. or so, I spotted what I thought was another shooting star. It streaked across the sky heading southward then stopped. I thought the shooting star might burn out, but it didn't. Instead, the light split into 4 lights which formed a square (1 light in each corner).
One of the lights was brighter than the other 3, made me think it might be bigger than the others. It stayed in the square formation for 2 to 5 seconds before it changed forms again. Two lights stayed in place while the other 2 lights moved slightly away, then stopped.
The 4 lights together looked like a rectangle and stayed this way for 1 to 2 seconds. Then all of a sudden the 2 lights that moved to form the rectangle shot off northward, like parallel shooting stars, while the other 2 lights only separated slightly and remained stationary. One of the 2 lights that remained was the bright one.
I was shocked and couldn't believe what I saw.
I stayed there until 1:30 a.m. to see if the other 2 would come back. Then I tried to memorize the location of the 2 remaining lights before heading in, but they looked like stars amongst so many other stars. It was useless, so I peddled back home.
I told my husband and he suggested I look up UFO sightings on the internet. There are so many skeptics and believe me I would have been one too, that I said I don't think I'll bother.
My husband printed a copy of your article for me to read and that's how I read about the other sighting on July 28th, 2003 and also why I'm emailing you.
If you know or hear of any one else that saw what I did that night, please let me know. I would appreciate any information you can provide.
Thank you!
Yours truly.
Thank you to the eyewitness for their report.
