Orange Glowing Object Over Chicago Ridge Illinois

Time:  Between 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m.

Hello, I must say I am in shock at this. On Saturday July 30th, 2011 I was attending a bbq with about 15 of my friends in the Chicago Ridge, Illinois, between 12:00 a.m. and 1:00 a.m. we saw the same exact thing as you are describing, an orange glow floated around slowly then kind of drifted a little and just completely disappeared.

I also am not into UFOs, so if someone could provide a legitimist answer to what it was, I'd gladly consider it. I just don't know what to think about this object we saw!

Green UFO Drops From The Sky And Hovers Over South Chicago Illinois

Time:  Evening.

My name is (name removed) and I saw almost the same thing over the highway by my home in Chicago. I never seen anything like it. I was not alone. Green glowing light coming straight down and then stopped, hovered a few seconds and the then took off like a comet with a orange-ish tail behind.

It scared me and my friend. It was not very dark. The sun was almost down. I can give you date and time and exact location. I would like to know who else saw it. Had to be others as it was over the busy highway.

Bright Orange Object Over Lakeview Chicago Illinois

Hi, I typed in bright orange UFO Chicago into Yahoo search to see if anyone saw what we saw last night and your article came up. I was wondering if anyone else has responded about seeing this light, or if you have learned what it was. 

I was with group of 10 people grilling last night (August 27th, 2011 interesting that it sounds like you saw it on the 24th) in Lakeview when we all saw a bright orange light moving about plane speed from north to south.  we only saw it as it traveled between some of the houses, but we saw it pretty clearly for about 10 second.

Bright Orange Light Over Chicago Illinois

Time:  9:00 p.m. to 10:00 p.m.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: As me and my four friends were watching the fireworks show from our roof, one of my friends pointed out a strange orange light in the sky. As it got closer, it looked like a plane crashing to the ground, it was moving rather slowly.

As it was coming towards us, it suddenly stopped moving and hovered around for about a minute then it changed from the orange flame to a flash of red and green like a plane, but it started moving, I'd say 5 times faster that it was before, then it went in the opposite direction and flew out of sight.

We all tried to figure out what it could be, me and my friends were never real believers in UFO's, but we could not find an answer to this one. I did some research, and it seems that there are a lot of UFO sightings like this with the flaming object, I've read of seeing multiple UFOs. We kept looking, but we only saw that one from where we were at. Hope this helps you out.
