Direction: N.W. Calgary sky.
Condition: Bright moonlight
Clear skies
Very cold temperatures, about –20 degrees C.
Sighting: Several colourful vertical shafts of light; slow changes in intensity and colour; eventually fading away.
Did briefly see a couple shafts of light in the Eastern sky.
Here is a photograph that I took, looking in a North Westerly direction.
I wish to thank the witness for sending along the report and excellent picture of the vertical shafts of light.
