A Emerald Green Triangular Shaped UFO Surrounded By A Hazy Green Aura Over St. Albert Alberta

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  July 2007

Time:  10:30 p.m.

Location of Sighting: St. Albert AB.

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Triangle.

Full Description of event/sighting: While sitting in my hot tub on a very clear summer night in July 2007, I suddenly caught sight of beautiful emerald green triangular shaped object high in the sky. The object was hovering in the middle of the sky and seemed to be surrounded by a hazy green aura.

The object rotated slowly inside the aura, maybe close to one full rotation, and then suddenly shot across the sky and disappeared into the horizon without making a sound.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Mother Ship And Three Smaller Craft Shot Out Of Opening In UFO South Monticello Arkansas (Diagram)

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  1980

Time:  7:30 a.m.

Location of Sighting: South of Monticello.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 4
Shape of objects: Mother ship about 100 yards wide and round, grey in color.

Full Description of event/sighting: The ship was round and huge and it had a round door which opened up and 3 more smaller crafts came out.

It was very fast, sounds crazy, but this is true. I saw it with my own eyes and my wife also. I watched them for about 10 minutes and I don't remember anything else after that.

Whoever they were, they erased my mind. For a long time and now I think about them just about ever day. It's a crazy story but it's true. I don't make up things. I am a electrical engineer retired, but still work in the field.

I don't drink or use drugs and I have a good mind and I know what I saw. It was not from here and it made no sound, but they left a blue vapor trail for a moment. What do you think I saw. Thanks.

Thank you to the witness for the report and diagram.

Landed Flying Saucer With Greenish Haze Surrounding It At Scranton Pennsylvania

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  1968 - 1969

Brian Vike’s Note: I telephoned the lady who filed this report to me and we had a long and very nice conversation. She went onto tell me about a Black Triangle sighting she and her husband were witness to. This huge craft flew slowly over the road and above their vehicle.

Other people pulled their cars over and stopped on the road to watch this same craft. The lady, who's name is Judy also did a telephone interview with me for the radio show I host and this will be aired this coming Sunday, April 15, 2007.

So tune in, a very interesting report. Also I would like to make a request that if anyone knows of the a person holding these photos, or anyone who knows anything about this sighting would they please contact me here at brian_vike@telus.net

Hi, I don't know why I have ever reported this before, probably because I am not in touch with the student involved nor do I have the pictures. This happened in a community college English course where I was trying (as we teachers do) to drum up some interest in anything to a group of listless students.  So, I started talking about UFO's.

I saw several boys in the back row poking one of their group and saying "tell her." So, I asked him and after some coaxing he told this amazing story:  His hobby was photography and he had a number of cameras.

On this occasion he and some buddies had gone to visit his sister at her college near Wilkes Barre, Pa. (Having grown up in the Scranton area, I was familiar with the locale.)  As they were fooling around in the nearby woods they came upon a landed flying saucer.  As he had two cameras with him, one of which had a telephoto lens, he started taking pictures. Several of the other fellows started throwing rocks at it.  The rocks made a "ping" when they hit.

They then became frightened and ran off.  When he came home he sent the pictures off to Eastman Kodak to be processed. These were color photos which he did not have the equipment to process.  Eastman Kodak returned on two or three of the shots with a letter explaining that such photos were routinely confiscated and if he wished further information he should contact the Dept. of Defense.  (His sister did so but got no response.)

Anyway, I asked if I could see the pictures. He seemed reluctant, but he brought them in.  WOW.  The pictures showed very clearly an oval shaped "craft apparently of polished aluminum with a greenish haze around it.

I have never to this day seen any pictures as clear cut or as close as this was. The student told me that the haze was actually blue to the sight but came out as green.  He took the pictures home. When several other teachers expressed interest, I asked him if he could bring them in again.

He was obviously so uncomfortable that I apologized and dropped the subject. Unfortunately he dropped out of the class. I hope this incident was not the cause. I don't know whether this is  of any interest or not, but I can assure you that when I see the currently available pictures of UFOs  I have to laugh. This was the real thing.  (Retired English Professor, Suffolk Community College, Seldon, L.I.)  Currently living in N.Ft. Myers, Fl.

Additional Information:

Hi and thanks for your interest.  I would be happy to make a drawing but being an old lady (76) my knowledge of computer technology is elementary. I don't know how to send a picture, but the pictures were beautiful.

The "craft" was a slightly elongated egg or oval shape. The metallic surface, like polished aluminum or steel, was quite lovely. And the greenish haze that surrounded it was breathtaking. I do not recall any markings or detail. It was apparently resting on the ground, or very close to it. Yes, I would be glad to talk to you about the sighting or any other info I might have.

I regret that I didn't report this at the time, but in that time period  there really weren't too many serious UFO students. If you are interested, my husband and I drove directly under one of the famous Hudson Valley craft that was written up by Hynek.

My husband had a private pilot's license (and had been in the Naval Air Corps) and we can assure anyone that this was no extra-light plane.  I have followed the UFO scene over the years but just as an observer not as an active participant and certainly not as a groupie. Anyway, thanks for your kind interest and yes, I'd be happy to contribute whatever I can. Regards.

Thank you to Judy for the very interesting report and also for taking the time to speak to me on the telephone.

A Triangle UFO With Rounded Corners San Rafael California (Graphic)

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  August 12, 2007

Time:  Approximately 11:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: San Rafael.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1

Shape of objects: Triangle with rounded corners.

Full Description of event/sighting: My girlfriend "J" and I were watching the meteor shower last night on our rooftop patio in downtown San Rafael. We're about 20 miles north of San Francisco and it's a fairly urban area, so light pollution is fairly high. There was no moon, however, so we had a better view of the stars than usual.

We were stretched out on two lounge chairs, with a blanket over us. We weren't under the influence of any drugs, though I had finished about half a pint of Guinness. I had a mini mag light flashlight with me, and my binoculars. We weren't seeing many meteorites, so out of boredom I had been swinging the flashlight beam around into the sky in big sweeps.

I got up to go to the bathroom, and I got a few steps away when J started yelling "UFO!  UFO!" I started looking up and around and a couple seconds later I spotted a dark triangular shape with rounded corners moving quickly across the sky, from approximately north to south, more or less right above us. It had a small red circle in each corner, and was completely silent.

I'd estimate that it was about the size of 2 or 3 full moons. I said "hand me the binoculars!, hand me the binoculars!" but was too dumbstruck to look away to grab them, even though J was holding them out to me (her eyes also locked on the triangle).

I watched it for about 4 or 5 seconds until it disappeared in the haze of light pollution to the south.  I'd say it traveled about 1/8 of the full arc of the sky in the 4 or 5 seconds that I was able to visually track it.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

An Enormous Boomerang Shaped UFO With Many Red Flashing Lights Over San Diego California

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  November 13, 2007

Time:  8:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Overhead traveling West/ Northwest.

Number of witnesses: 5
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: V.

Full Description of event/sighting: I went out back to get a glimpse of Comet Holmes and the neighbors were all talking about something in the sky and a large number of flashing red lights.

When I first looked up I was so disoriented that I thought fireworks or some type of celestial event was happening in the sky.  The lights took up such a large portion of the sky that my brain could not immediately conceptualize a single craft that could possibly contain this many lights.

As I stood dumbfounded I realized that directly overhead was an enormous craft shaped more like a boomerang than a V with red lights blinking in what appeared to be a very irregular pattern.

The lights flashed very quickly and sporadically back and forth on both wings in an almost confusing manner.  Clearly there was no fuselage of any kind.  It was a minimum of 3 if not 4 inches wide at arms length.  Probably more when it was directly over my head.

I was in disbelief, (and still am) over the size, as we live in a flight path for San Diego airport and I see all manor of planes day and night.  I have never seen anything so big in the sky.

It appeared to be silent, but I will admit that I also heard the neighbor point that out, so that could be the power of suggestion and not my own thought.  However, when he did point out that it didn't appear to be making any noise and it was passing overhead, I completely agreed with him.  It moved fairly slow as well.

I was able to see it in the sky for over a minute and I clearly got out there after it had already approached my viewing spot.  I also heard my neighbor say that he had seen it earlier and clearly he was in disbelief as well and had no idea what it could be.

Thank you to the witness for an excellent sighting report.

UFOs Over Nuclear One Power Plant Russellville Arkansas

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  N/A

Time:  10:00 p.m. -11:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Russellville, Arkansas: Nuclear One power plant.

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 2
Shape of objects: N/A.

Full Description of event/sighting: To set the scene it was a clear Fall night and the stars were everywhere in the sky. You could see what looked like to be common airliners on route to Little Rock Airport.

We were out on some country road (we got lost), had been driving the dirt roads for about an hour. We needed a restroom break so I found a little entrance into a farm that had no gate. We didn't plan on staying any longer than it took to finish our business and leave. My friend said, "what is that?"

He pointed to the sky and I just said, "that is the red light on an airplane." I was in the USAF and you see a lot of incoming and outgoing aircraft of many different types, so when I saw the light that is what I first thought of, and then he said, "Look at it man!" I looked at it again and the light just stopped and then resumed course.

I zipped up my pants and we sat on the hood of my car and watched this light move around for about 10 minutes, then to our amazement and out of nowhere a second red light appeared far behind it. Too far to had been a single aircraft.

The lights were steady and moving along the same course for about another 10 minutes, then one light went out completely and the 2nd light seemed to speed up instantly and took the place of where the first light was last seen.

My friend then pointed out a cloud. This cloud was coming from the cooling tower of the local power plant in Russellville which is about 22-25 miles away. The light remained near the steam for nearly 5 minutes then in the blink of an eye went from a dead hover to a diagonal up and right.

Now I'm not good enough to tell you the speed of this object but I can tell you that the speed of this object was so extreme that the only thing I can judge by it is like trying to watch a bullet leave the barrel of a gun and follow it to the target. My friend was a bit shaken by seeing this, and so was I. We were speechless and didn't talk the rest of the time we were watching.

I saw the angles in which this light was traveling and I don't know any craft we have that can allow a pilot to make such drastic changes in speed and angle without becoming unconscious or being killed by sheer G-force. It was truly a remarkable sight to see.

Just when we thought it was all over and done with the 1st light reappeared in the same place it had vanished and the 2nd red light came back to the same distance when it had first appeared.

The two lights kind of made like a subtle flash (as we had been watching it, we had not see any fluctuation from these lights at all). Then Poof! they were gone. We sat there for another 30 minutes hoping they would show up again, however they did not.

Now, I'm telling you this and have not posted it anywhere else on the web. I do not wish to be made public. I just hope this helps confirm similar accounts if you even have any like this. Your feed back to me would be much appreciated.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

A Spherical Bright UFO Observed Making Unusual Maneuvers Over Pune Maharashtra India

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  February 22, 2007

Time:  6:01 a.m.

Location of Sighting: Pune

Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Spherical

Full Description of event/sighting: I could never have imagined that I actually would witness a UFO, when on 22nd February, I had gotten up to have a drink of water.

The time was 6.01 a.m., and the sunrise was a half hour away, so it was early dawn. You could see the stars and the sky was unclouded.

The reason I saw the sky is because I live on the 3rd storey of my house, and there is a terrace adjacent to my room. So I always love to look at the sky, look at Venus, see the Orion constellation and so on.

So, I am yawning, and casually just looking around in the sky, and I am glancing in the southeast direction, where all of a sudden at a 50 degree angle at a long distance ( I will come to the distance a little later) I see this spherical bright object and its not Venus, but looks kind of like it, and as the mental thoughts are going on in my head, it would have barely registered, except it moved !

So, I was like whoa! and as it moved. This object was pulsating, like maybe 1 in 2 seconds and it was emitting this orangish/reddish glow at the bottom of this sphere, and at the same time it was moving horizontally to my right in the sky. I am just amazed as I am looking at it, completely dumbfounded, not scared or worried, but I just don't know what to think.

As all these thoughts are running in my head, suddenly, the object starts to move down vertically, it starts to descend, not fast or anything, but not slowly either and it is when I am thinking, there is no way this is a star, or a meteor, because no smoke trail. This thing while it descends half the horizon, it stops!! It just abruptly stops and it blinks, and the next thing I see is that it suddenly disappeared.

And, I don't believe it jutted off into space or anything, no way. I was keeping my eyes peeled, just staring at this thing, and not blinking, and right there, how can it just disappear? But it did.

So, I frantically rush ahead in my terrace, to see if it is visible from any other angle, at the same time I am thinking that is silly, because there is no trees in my way, that I am trying to circumvent or anything. There is no other angle here, what I saw, that is it!

And so I stay there, thinking that maybe it will reappear again, and probably 90 seconds go by and I am just still staring at that exact spot when suddenly I see this passenger plane. It's blinking and everything, and it's tiny, like a baby fly in the sky, but unmistakable. I mean its a passenger plane, it goes right above where this unidentified spherical object disappeared.

And that got me thinking, did this UFO, and I believe it was a UFO, did this UFO disappear to avoid the passenger plane crew to see it? Because it would have been right there in front of them, had it remained in the air at that altitude.

Anyway, I was excited, told my brother and parents in the morning what happened. I checked out the news to see if there was any other reporting similar things, but nothing.

Anyway, I just had to post this, and I swear that it is the whole complete truth.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Witnesses Observe Unusual State Police Officer Movements And UFO Over Poplar Bluff Missouri (Audio Interview)

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  Early 70's

Time:  Just at Sundown.

Location of Sighting: Hy 60 Just North of Hy 67 By Poplar Bluff Mo.

Number of witnesses: 4
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Oval.

Brian Vike’s Note: I just called the witness and I will be calling back to chat with him in an hour. But as you will notice the witness wrote to me last year sometime and I had not replied to him. I don't know what happened, but I did apologize to the witness for not replying and have set up the time to call him back in an hour.

You can listen to the telephone interview I did with Rock over his amazing encounter. You can find the audio clip by following this link: https://jmp.sh/YawtJow

Full Description of event/sighting:  Brian Could you send me a number so I could talk to you on this. As I am not a very good writer.

What happened was my Grandfather and I and his brother were on our way to Poplar Bluff to do some shopping, on the way we saw a bright light just up the Road, kind of like when head lights on a car would shine over a hill as it comes toward you.

The light became brighter as we got closer to the top of the hill. When we topped the hill we saw a State Police car sitting in the middle of the road with the driver door open. My grandfather stopped the car and started to get out.

We where looking at the light in the trees just off the road as the light looked like a beam that was shining on the Police car and we could see the Trooper half in the car and half out. His head was down like he was going to fall out of the car. The story has more, but it would be easier for me to just tell you.  But the UFO or ship lifted up out of the trees in a few minutes and hovered for a little while then it just zoomed off very fast.

I will tell you about the trooper when you call, also this was written up in the Poplar Bluff News paper. I have not went and tried to look this up and our family had a cut out of the paper for years, but I do not know who has it at this time.

Also on the trees, where the ship sat was damaged. We went back to the sight the next day, and I went back a few years later and the marks will still on the trees. There where three prints in the ground where it sat on it's struts that we saw folding up when it lifted up out of the trees.

Brian I wrote you about this about a year ago, and I wrote to another group but I never heard anything back. If you could contact me on this as I grew up in Piedmont Mo. and that was the time of many UFO sightings.

One of many types, And I got to see many of them as they happened.  Anyway thanks for you time and I will wait to see if you have time to contact me on this. I would like my name kept out at least till we can talk. Thank you.

I Witnessed A Fleet Of Boomerang Shaped UFOs Over Pittsburgh Pennsylvania

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  Around 2000

Time:  Evening.

Brian, I just saw the "boomerang" shaped UFO on Rense.com's site.  I live in the Pittsburgh PA, USA area, and approximately 7 years ago at dusk I looked up from my side porch and saw a fleet of them (about 11) flying very high in a V formation.

What was so strange about this sighting is that as the formation was moving, 2 of them were also flying perfect circles around 2 of the formation ones. I watched them for about 2 minutes and ran to the front porch to proceed viewing them, but they disappeared.

In 1999/2000, my two friends saw the same strange sighting in the Pittsburgh area, even though they were about 15-20 miles away from each other.  They saw, along with others present, a white ball type orb being chased by two fighter planes.

They said that the org was actually doing circles and different maneuvers in front of the jets.  The next day, the one guy called the other and said that you won't believe what we saw last night, and the other guy confirmed seeing the same thing.

Brian, I'm not a UFO nutcase, and I've always told folks if I ever see an alien (if there is such a thing) that I'd sucker punch it. Nevertheless, something sure strange is happening out there. I also asked a buddy who's been an astronomer for the last 40 years if he ever saw any UFO's, and he replied never.

Thank you to the witness for the interesting report.

Pilot And Ground Flaggers Observe A Little Flat Flying Football Shaped UFO Over Tranquillity California

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Brian Vike’s Note: There are thousands of aircraft flights each and everyday, if carrying passengers, cargo or military flights of some type. With so many flights taking place each and everyday we are lucky if we hear a small fraction of unidentified UFO reports from pilots. Sightings of unknown objects are being witnessed each and everyday by ground observers, but yet we don't receive all that many pilot reports.

I would like to request that if any pilots who have been witness to something they weren't able to explain while flying an aircraft, would you please be so kind as to relate the information, or your sighting report to me.

Please keep in mind that any and all personal information will be respected and will remain private. I will not post names, emails or anything else that you would consider personal. So if a pilot has been witness to a UFO sighting, please do write to me, Brian Vike – Director Kamloops British Columbia Canada UFO Research at brian_vike@telus.net and by using this email address I will be the only person reading your mail. Thank you, Brian.

In the summer of 1978 I was flying for a crop dusting operation near Tranquillity, California. At that time I had been a duster pilot for over sixteen years, and flying nights since 1965. In central California during the summer months, certain fields are treated after dark, mainly to protect workers and honeybees from exposure to AG chemicals.

On the early morning of 28 July, just before 3:00 a.m., I was sitting in the cockpit of my airplane, a Rockwell Thrush Commander. The aircraft was parked, with it’s engine shut down and all interior and exterior lights off, at the south end of a one-half mile dirt runway, located about five miles southwest of Mendota, a small town in the San Joaquin Valley about thirty miles west of Fresno. The Thrush was lined up with the runway, facing due north.

I had just finished spraying a quarter-section cotton field, and was getting ready to spray another. My two girl flaggers were already in place on the field I was about to treat, and my loader was busy mixing a batch of pesticide to be applied on it.

It was a calm, cloudless night, typical of midsummer in the San Joaquin Valley. The air temperature at ground level was around seventy degrees, and the visibility was good. Although I was somewhat tired, I was not at all sleepy. I had drunk several cups of coffee from my thermos during the previous six hours, and I have always been sensitive to caffeine as a stimulant.

As I sat in the cockpit, waiting for the first load to be pumped into the hopper tank, I glanced over to my right at the crescent moon rising in the east, and then turned back to again face north. At this time, I noticed a dim, diffused orange glow, low in the sky to the northwest, about forty-five degrees to the left of the aircraft nose.

My first thought was that a house, barn, or other nearby ranch building had caught fire, but I discarded that possibility almost immediately. I knew the area quite well (an absolute necessity for safe night AG flying) and the glow was in the direction of the field that I was about to spray. I had flown this same field several times before, and knew there were no buildings in the immediate vicinity. I decided that if it was a fire, it had to be much farther away.

This possibility was discarded a few seconds later, when the orange glow began to slowly rise. When it was about thirty degrees above the horizon, it started moving toward the east.

At first this movement was quite slow, but within a few seconds, it speeded up. The glow then began to take on an elongated form, markedly longer in the vertical plane than in the horizontal. It reminded me of a segment of searchlight beam, except that the entire light column moved laterally, while oriented nearly straight up and down, rather than in a radius around a fixed light source. The length of the column seemed to be about ten to twenty degrees of vertical sky coverage.

As the light column passed through due north, straight ahead over the airplane nose, it continued accelerating and becoming  brighter. I then realized that I was viewing something that was totally different from my many other nighttime sightings of missile launches, satellites, planets, and other aircraft.

I yelled for my loader to look, but the noise of the mix rig engine drowned out my voice, and because his attention was focused on opening cans of pesticide on the opposite side of the mix tank, he didn't see my frantic signals. I climbed out of the cockpit onto the left wing, planning to jump down and run around the trailer to alert him. Then I had the thought that if I did, I might miss a vital part of the display, so I remained standing on the wing.

After passing abeam of the runway end, the object continued accelerating for a short time, perhaps five to ten seconds. It then climbed slightly, and at the same time abruptly slowed. During this phase the glow was becoming brighter, while the vertical beam was shortening, forming itself into a more compact mass of light.

At about forty-five degrees off to my right, the object, now considerably brighter, and resembling a glowing ball, came to a stop for several seconds. It then reversed course, and once again began moving, this time back to the west.

Several seconds after starting it’s westward movement, and without slowing, the ball of light instantly assumed the shape of a well-defined, flattened sphere with pointed ends, which emitted a steady orange glow. At this time it began a shallow descent, gathering speed and leveling out around twenty degrees above the horizon. It flew with it’s pointed ends parallel to the ground. From my position, the size of the object looked to be about that of a large pea or small marble when held at arms length.

When the glowing, flattened sphere was directly over the Thrush's nose, it abruptly halted, going from a high rate of speed to a dead stop almost instantaneously. It remained stationary for no more than a few seconds - five at the most. Although this would have been the best opportunity to determine the object's true size, I was unable to make an estimate, since it’s distance from me was unknown. On the report which I later submitted, I placed it at one to three miles away, but that distance is highly speculative.

After its momentary halt, the object again accelerated. Within a few seconds it had resumed its previous high speed, but appeared to have turned ninety degrees, and was now climbing directly away from me at a very steep angle. Its heading was due north, and as it rose, it attained what looked to be the highest speed reached during the entire time it had been in view.

Because of the unknown size and distance of the object, and the fact that it was climbing at an angle directly away from me, this speed was impossible to estimate accurately. Judging from the rate at which it seemed to grow smaller though, it looked to be travelling about three to five times faster than a jet airliner at an altitude of around thirty thousand feet, as seen from the ground.

During this climb, the object also reached its maximum brightness, only very slightly less than that of the crescent moon. As it continued to rise, it began to dim. It finally vanished from my sight high above the horizon (about sixty to seventy degrees), over the glow of the lights of Firebaugh, another small town about 12 miles due north of my position.

The total time which the object remained in view, from my first sighting of the diffused mass of light until the final disappearance of the flattened sphere, seemed to be about 40-50 seconds, but an accurate estimate is quite difficult. It could have been somewhat shorter, but almost certainly wasn't longer.

Throughout the episode, I remained relatively calm, but was filled with awe when I realized that I had just witnessed a phenomenon about which I had previously only read, and, up to that time, was not at all certain actually existed.

As soon as the object disappeared, I jumped off the wing and asked my loader if he had seen anything. He had not, and when I told him what I had witnessed, he was disappointed, to say the least. He finished mixing the batch of pesticide, and I sprayed four loads on the field. I then sprayed another quarter-section located northeast of the strip without further incident.

After returning to Tranquillity, I sought out my two flaggers, and asked them if they had seen anything unusual the previous night. They were both very evasive and reluctant to answer my questions, and kept trying to change the subject. I finally got them to admit that they had also seen the object. Their view of it had been better than my own, since they described it as somewhat larger and brighter than it had appeared from my location. From this, I estimated that they were closer to it than I had been, although it had still remained to the north of them.

With further questioning, the fact emerged that they had also seen the same object on the previous two nights, while flagging for another pilot. The girls described it very aptly as "a little, flat, flying football." They had told no one else of these previous sightings, and remained very reluctant to discuss them with me. I later talked with the other pilot, who stated that he had seen nothing out of the ordinary on either night.

Several nights later, at around midnight, I was in the air, returning to Tranquillity from the western edge of the valley. I was heading almost due east, flying at about five hundred feet. Suddenly, to the south, just off my right wing, at what seemed to be considerable distance away, I again sighted a column of diffused light. This time, the glow was more yellowish than orange. It appeared to move very slowly to the west, and I waited for a few seconds to see if another bright, oval shape would materialize from it. This did not occur. I then turned the airplane toward the light column, and flashed my two field lights of six hundred watts each. It immediately disappeared, and I saw no further evidence of the phenomenon.

A few days afterward, I wrote to the National Investigative Committee on Aerial Phenomena (NICAP), and reported the first sighting. Since the second light column had seemed rather far away, and was visible for only a short time, I didn't mention it. I later made out a NICAP report form and returned it. There was no reply from the organization, and I later learned that NICAP became non-operational the next year.

That sighting of 28 July made a very deep and lasting impression. I can still see the glowing orange, flattened sphere as vividly in my mind as it appeared on that early morning many years ago. I have no doubt that the device (or whatever it was) was real - there is absolutely no way that it could have been a product of my imagination. Twelve years previously, I had flown in the Sudan with some AG pilots who mentioned seeing somewhat similar objects in Arkansas and Florida.

Around that same time, many persons in the Mendota-Tranquillity area claimed to have seen, over a period of several nights, a gigantic, black object, with strange, multi-colored flashing lights. It moved slowly, making no sound, and was so huge that it obscured a significant portion of the night sky. (This fits the "mother ship" description of which I later read in various UFO accounts.) I never saw this vehicle, so I can't verify its existence, but it was the talk of all of the little towns on the west side of the San Joaquin Valley for many weeks afterward.

Over the years, I have seen two other unusual objects during night AG flying operations in the same general area. I once observed a bright blue light descend slowly to the ground from a high altitude, and watched, for a minute or so, a group of several bright white lights in a perfect "L" formation. They were flying very high and very fast, much faster than any known conventional aircraft. Neither of these incidents had the visual and psychological impact of the 1978 sighting however.

As I write this, I have spent over 35 years in agricultural aviation, and accumulated more than eleven thousand hours of AG flying time, several thousand of these at night. During the many thousands of hours I have spent outdoors after dark, I have seen hundreds of satellites, about thirty missile launches from Vandenberg AFB, all of the visible planets under widely varying sky conditions, and many thousands of military and civilian aircraft in all modes of flight. What I saw on that early July morning was totally unlike anything else I have ever observed in the night sky.

Since then, I have read hundreds of books dealing with all aspects of UFOs. Many of them contain accounts that are inconsistent and contradictory, while others are obviously outright fantasy. A few, however, seem to be authentic. Unlike most other UFO researchers, my search for the truth behind the many thousands of documented appearances of these phenomena is driven by the certain knowledge that they in fact exist.

To date, despite many years of research, I am still unable to form a definite opinion as to the substance and meaning of these mysterious and logic-defying objects. I hope, however, to somehow correlate the mass of at-times conflicting information, and determine their true origin and purpose, before I make that last flight West.

END.

After the above article was first published the witness received a letter from a 25,000 hour commercial pilot who had sighted what was essentially the same phenomenon on a night in January of 1978, six months before my own experience.

He was on a charter flight with several passengers aboard and cruising at 8500 feet when, at about 9:00 p.m., he looked to the west of his course and saw a similar cycle of light begin. He started to turn toward it to get a better view, but his passengers had no desire whatever to get any closer…they became quite agitated and “strongly objected,” so he reluctantly turned away from the spectacle so as to calm them down. By the time he got back on his original heading, the light show was over. He also mentioned that he had seen a flight of “silvery disks” somewhere over north central Washington sometime in the 1950’s.

(Removed by Brian Vike) also got a letter from a distinguished professor at a northern California university, who dismissed my sighting as “only the aurora borealis, or northern lights.” I have seen the northern lights a number of times. Once, when they were exceptionally strong, they even appeared on the horizon in southern California. Of course, they bear no resemblance whatever to what I saw in the sky that morning, and anyone reading the article who has also seen the northern lights should have been able to comprehend that there was a vast difference between them. Some professor! Some aurora borealis!

Since the article first appeared, I have had one more sighting of something that remains unexplained in my mind. My wife also saw it, and is likewise at a loss to explain it.

On an early summer evening, we were lying on our backs on a lawn, watching the passage of the linked space shuttle/space station as they passed overhead. It was a very bright object, and had appeared exactly at the time forecast.

About 15 seconds after it had passed directly above us, we saw a bright white, flashing light on approximately the same track as the linked vehicles, but some distance behind them. It was nearly directly overhead also. The light didn’t move in the same direction however. Instead, it flashed, disappeared, and then flashed again in another location some distance away from its original position. This cycle repeated itself about five or six times, with the light appearing at a different part of the sky each time, then the object disappeared.

I mailed an account of this sighting to the National Aviation Reporting Center on Anomalous Phenomena, an organization which gathers reports of unexplained aerial object sighting from all over the world. They mostly come from airline pilots. The reply stated that this same “flashing, disappearing/reappearing light” was one of the most common objects reported by a large number of pilots, none of whom were able to explain it. Neither was NARCAP.

Although I have been searching for 40 years, I myself am no wiser as to the origin or purpose of these various unidentified flying objects which are being reported with increasing frequency all over the world. However, since there is nothing in the universe that is “supernatural,” I am convinced that they are a part of some larger phenomena yet to be discovered.

An Unexplained Sighting Over Northern Alabama

(Published in - Removed by Brian Vike - September 1995 as sidebar to "A Little Flat Flying Football")

Whenever I travel by airline, I always try to get a window seat, because I like to look out on the ever-changing clouds and sky and watch the ground passing below. Thus, on 21 April 1994, at approximately 1310 EDT, I was in the rearmost right window seat of a Delta Lockheed L-1011. The aircraft was nearly full of passengers, heading west/northwest on a flight from Atlanta to Salt Lake City.

We were in a climb to cruising altitude, passing through approximately 18/20,000 feet, when I suddenly saw, almost directly below, two seemingly circular bright, glowing white objects, with no visible wings or tail surfaces, moving toward the northeast at a very high speed. I spotted them just after they had passed under the airplane.

Because I have no knowledge of their size, or their distance from the aircraft, it's hard to say how far below they actually were, or at what speed they were traveling. I can tell you that they were moving very fast though...much faster than the fastest military fighter aircraft would be capable of flying, especially at that relatively low altitude.

Besides that, with only a few exceptions for test and tactical ranges in several of the western states, supersonic flight is forbidden over the continental US, and these machines were traveling at a speed which was obviously much higher than the speed of sound would have been at that altitude. And of course all military aircraft of all the services are now coated with either radar-absorptive or camouflage paint, and thus are either a uniform dull grey or a dull gray/green mottled color combination.

Although these objects were flying together, they were not in a close formation, such as tactical military aircraft would normally be, but approximately 3-5 degrees apart. As they moved away below, they seemed to drift a little farther away from each other.

I watched them disappear in the distance, and then looked forward along the row of seats to see if anyone ahead of me was pointing, gesturing, or giving some indication that they had also seen the objects. No one was...all of the other passengers had the window shades down and were watching some dumb Whoopee Goldberg movie. Evidently I was the only one looking out the window.

While this didn't have the same impact as my previous sighting of July 1978, it was still an exciting experience. I only wish I had seen an indication that someone else on that airplane had sighted the machines...or whatever they were.

Thank you to the eyewitnesses for their excellent reporting.

Object Dark And Rectangular In Shape Over Pickering Nuclear Generating Station Ontario

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

 Date:  June 25, 2007

Time:  6:00 a.m.

Number of witnesses: 3

Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Small and rectangular.

Brian Vike’s Note: The witness requested that none of their  personal information be given out, or posted. Brian Vike does not release or post personal information what so ever unless instructed to do so. As most of the reports I receive read, "thank you to the witness for their report". It is most important that folks who have had a sighting to know their privacy is fully respected here at Kamloops British Columbia Canada UFO Research.

Full Description of event/sighting: I am hesitant to make a report like this but the object I observed over the Pickering Nuclear Generating Station on the 25th of June, 2007 was very similar to that reported over the station by other people so it made me realize that I wasn't the only one who thought that this object was a bit odd. I would appreciate that my name not be used (even my first name) as my credibility may come into question if this information became public knowledge.

I presently work at the Pickering Nuclear Generating station near Toronto and I witnessed the object described over the station by others on the FILER'S FILES # 26 - 2007 report.

I start my shift at 7:00 a.m., but usually arrive at around 6:00 a.m. as I have breakfast in the cafeteria before going to work. My first sighting of the object happened on the morning of the 25th of June, 2007. I had just cleared security and was leaving the security building to enter the administration building when I glanced up to see an object that seemed rectangular in shape. The object was fixed in a horizontal position hanging over the back of the turbine auxiliary bay on the A side of the building.

What caught my attention was that it was something I had never noticed from that location before and because it was so perfectly stationary I stopped walking to take a better look. At first I was thinking that it may have been part of the superstructure on the top of the building as it was so immobile. After thinking about it for a few moments I concluded that it must be part of the building and it was connected by a guide wire or something. I dismissed the original sighting as being irrelevant and went inside and quickly forgot about it.

Around 9:00 a.m. I had to attend to a job I was involved with out in the screen house building located behind the plant. (South of the main building toward Lake Ontario). After walking from the screen house going west I looked up and saw the same object again and this time it was a bit higher and now located about 200 feet, above and slightly west of the vacuum building structure. (The top of the vacuum building is about 200 feet and this was about 200 to 300 feet above it).

I watched it for about 5 minutes and it did not move. When I say this I really mean it. It was absolutely stationary and that is the reason I stood there watching it. In my mind no objects in flight are so stationary and that is the reason it caught my attention.

After watching it for a bit I saw a friend of mine and I pointed it out to him. His analysis was that it maybe a kite being flown from Frenchman's Bay, located to the west of the plant. I was somewhat inclined to agree with him and went back into the plant to continue my work.

Later on in the morning I had the opportunity to walk out to the back of the plant again and I looked up to where it was and it was gone. I searched the sky and to my amazement I saw it again. It had changed locations. This time it was situated over the cooling water inflow behind the vacuum building structure at about even with its height (around 200 feet).

I watched it for a couple of minutes but again dismissed it as being man made as I figured it had to be.

Later on in the afternoon around 2:00 p.m. I walked back out again to see it in the same place behind the vacuum building structure. It had not moved. I again used some excuse to write it off as being explainable as I had no other evidence to suggest otherwise outside of its very stationary position in the air that did not seem natural in my mind.

When I looked for it the next day there was nothing to be seen. The object was no longer there.

I have been looking since but have not seen anything unusual. I will keep looking as it has intrigued me and I really want to know what that object was.

It reminded me of some sort of surveillance drone as it seemed to be observing plant activities. In retrospect I should have informed security but I was thinking they wouldn't even follow it up. The reason I say this is that during the day I told a number of people about the object and they responded in such an apathetic manner that I was dissuaded to tell anyone else.

The object was dark and rectangular and may have been the size of a 45 gallon drum. It was positioned horizontally not vertically. I did not have any magnifying device so it was not very discernable.

I don't make any claims that this was not a man made object, but its behavior was quite peculiar.

Thank you to the witness for the very interesting report.

Hovering Saucer Shaped UFO Emitting An Orange Glow Over Oyster River Black Creek Vancouver Island British Columbia

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  Around October 10, 2007

Time:  Evening.

Location of Sighting: Oyster River, Black Creek Vancouver Island

Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Saucer shaped.

Brian Vike’s Note: If anyone else has witnessed this craft would they please contact Brian Vike, Director of Kamloops British Columbia Canada UFO Research with the details of the sighting. brian_vike@telus.net

Full Description of event/sighting: I will get the people involved to put their stories on here. One is a friend who has seen the same flying object 3 times in the last month. The last is a friend of my son's. I just asked him tonight about his sighting.

He saw the same saucer shaped object on the same night as my other friend, Wednesday of this week or there abouts in Black Creek just north of the Merville store.

He was being driven home by his boss and they pulled over off the highway in a Hummer vehicle (thinking they were safe) and watched the craft hovering over a neighbor's property.

He said it was saucer shaped and had revolving lights that emitted an orange glow. It then flew in a zig zag pattern and took off toward the ocean.

My other friend was telling me of the same craft that very night (after I dropped my son off at the friend's house). He said the same thing..orange light and a glowing saucer. He told me he was driving south when all of a sudden the lights of the saucer came on. He said he went "oh no, not again" rolled up his windows and continued driving toward home. He said he was very scared.

Altogether he has seen it twice this past week in the same locale between Oyster River and Black Creek, but his sightings were over the ocean. A previous sighting about a month ago was over a field near Oyster River.

Again a saucer, but cream colored light with blue or green. I think that is what he said. I will pass this link onto my son's friend and also my other friend that saw it 3 times. It is better that they talk to you themselves. I was just wondering if you had any other reports from Vancouver Island (up past Courtenay) this month? Has anyone else seen this same craft? (in all cases, it has been only one craft) That is about all for now.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

A Close Encounter With Massive Triangular Shaped UFO And Missing Time Orleans Ontario

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  February 1998

Time:  7:15 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 6

Number of objects: 1?
Shape of objects: Triangular and round.

Full Description of event/sighting: It was a very cold day in February when my mother and I walked out of the Chiro's office and headed to the Giant Tiger across St-Joseph Blvd. to get a few items. It was about 6:45 p.m. at the time we entered the store. It only took us a maximum of 12 minutes in the store and so I figure it must have been around 7:00 p.m. the latest.

We crossed the street again to head back home when I noticed an amber coloured  oval object moving over the bank. I pointed it out to my mother who by this time was half freezing to death at the minus 30 temperature we were experiencing. She was quick to brush it off and said to we had to walk fast in order to warm up. But then, I noticed that the object was still.

I told my mom to stop walking for a second to make sure my eyes weren't playing tricks on me (and to confirm that she was also seeing the same thing) Low and behold, the object was as still as could be, not making a sound. We decided to keep walking since it was too darn cold to stick around.

The object followed us. When we stopped, it would stop. When we would move forward it would move forward...at one point it had gotten a little too far ahead of us and actually reversed itself to be in sync with us. (?) We passed a pizza place and a few stores until we came to a clearing between a house and a flower shop where it was darker because the glare of the street lights was faded by the heavy darkness that lay in behind the house.

As if things weren't bizarre enough already, it started a strange sequence of shape shifting. It changed from oval to round. Then split in two to make two round amber coloured shapes one staying still while the other dance with the tree. At about that time, two women came out of the house and one exclaimed to the other "Look at that!" but the other lady, disinterested, told her friend that they didn't have the time to fool around and they got in their car and left.

One thing I need to mention here is that while the craft was shape shifting, my mother and I were sort of in awe of the whole thing...so much so that the minus 30 degree weather didn't seem to bother us at all. In fact, we were as warm as can be. Anyway, we decided to head home since my brother, who was only 8 or 9 at the time, was home alone and we needed to get back quickly for fear that he may get scared if left alone for too long.

We started home and the craft seemed to have disappeared ? We cut through the parking lot of a low-roofed warehouse where we saw something that I will never forget. The orange glow of the streetlight lit the side of the hugest object I have ever seen in my life. It looked like this big black (tar) mass sitting maybe 30-50 feet above the roof of this warehouse.

It was so big that we couldn't see the other side of this thing. This massive triangular shape appeared to be moving very slowly ahead of us, directly over the townhouse project we lived in. Two men were on the other side of the street and saw the event...I never guessed they would have run away from it though. And at that moment, the most remarkable thing happened.

The object shifted upwards to show its full form and for the first time we actually heard noise...blue lights light up the entire triangle and electric blue sparks shot downward from either ends of the craft. I was amazed and terrified at the same time. It still evokes strong feelings just thinking about it.

The object seemed to have disappeared once more, only to reappear a quarter of a mile further as a reddish-blue light swishing back and forth in the night sky. We continued home which was literally across the street by that time and realized that we were warm. My brother opened the door with a very worried look on his face. "Where were you mom? You were gone for so long! Where were you?"

My mother and I looked at each other and then at my brother, perplexed. My mother said: "We've only been gone about half an hour" I quickly took off my winter boots and walked to the kitchen to look at the time on the wall clock. "Mom, it's 9:30 p.m. how is that possible?"

Ever since that day, we have strived to explain the time loss but we really can't come up with anything that would make sense.

I had an appointment at the Chiro's office for 6:30 p.m. We left the office at 6:45p.m. went to the store across the street and were out by 7:00 p.m. the latest. From that particular store back to our house was only a 20 minute walk...given the fact that we stood still for a little while we'll add 20 minutes just to be sure ( actually, it only felt like 10-15 minutes altogether) So, technically we should have arrived home at 7:40 p.m.

Surely, we would have noticed if we were outside in minus 30 degree weather for a total of 2 1/2 hours. We would have had frostbite or something

Thank you to the witness for the amazing report.
