RCMP Officer Shoots At Unknown 1967 Kitimat British Columbia UFO Incident

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  1967

Brian, are you aware of the 1967 so called UFO incident in Kitimat? I was involved in this incident during the winter of that year.

Me and a few friends were walking on the outskirts of Kitimat one snowy dark evening when we heard a strange beeping noise out in the bush. Within a half an hour a large group of local residents gathered along with us to listen to this electronic beeping noise.

Shortly thereafter, the RCMP showed up and formed about 12 of us into 2 groups. Each group was to walk along one side of this ravine that went into the bush towards this blue light. It was the dead of winter and there was a lot of snow in the bush.

I was with one of those groups accompanied by an RCMP officer. There was a blue glowing light off in the bush along with this electronic beeping noise.

After about 20 minutes, we heard 4 or 5 gunshots, and our RCMP officer told us all to get out of the bush. When we got back to the road, the other group that had traversed the other side of the ravine was already out on the road.

Everyone in that group was very scared and apparently, the RCMP officer in that group shot into a tree at "something?" They all saw something in the tree, but no-one wanted to talk about it! This RCMP officer was as white as a sheet and saw something in the tree apparently with the rest of them and felt compelled to shoot at it?

Well, before one knew it, there were electronic and UFO experts coming to Kitimat from all over the world. The beeping noise continued for many weeks and the electronic experts from Vancouver stated that it was an electronic source of some sort.

The local Natives just laughed and stated that the beeping noise was a rare Owl. They could not however explain the blue glowing light out in the bush that night. It was what we were trying to see when our two groups went into the bush.

Have you heard of this story?

Thank you to the witness for the report.

UFO Hovers Over RCMP Vehicle Middle Cove/Outer Cove Newfoundland

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  1969.

Time:  Approximately 2:00 a.m.

Message: I was reading an article on line contained in the St. John's newspaper, the Telegram about UFO's.

This goes back some years when I was a member of the RCMP stationed in St. John's, Newfoundland. It would be in 1969 when another Police Officer and I were on Night Patrol just outside of St. John's at around 2:00 a.m. in the morning.

It was at a little jute overlooking the ocean in Middle Cove/Outer Cove, Newfoundland area. We noted a very bright white light hovering over our police vehicle and had no idea what it was.

At different times it would change colours, IE bright white, than red, than green, back to white red etc. We would put our police car red light on and it would turn red.

We would put our police car's siren on and it would imitate these sounds. It would be over us one minute, and than over the ocean and than back over us. We had our night desk man check with the St. John's airport to see if anything was showing up on radar, but nothing was.

We played with this UFO for about 1/2 hour and as suddenly as it appeared it left. One minute it was there and than it was just a bright white beam of light leaving.

It travelled out of our sight faster than one could snap ones fingers.

Hope this may be of some use to you. I don’t know what it was, but it sure wasn't earthly as far as I could tell or am concerned.

Thank you to the witness for their report.

RCMP Officers Watch Large Glowing Orange/Gold Colored UFO At Granisle, British Columbia

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date: October 22, 2002 Time: 10:25 p.m.

Brian Vike's Note: Granisle is a small town 45 minutes northeast from where I live in Houston, British Columbia, Canada. Granisle has a population of 400 residents and the main industries are tourism and logging. Once the site of a copper mine. (Granisle Copper & Bell Copper) who had two large open pit mines).

I was contacted by a gentleman (RCMP Officer) recently who gave me quite a story. The witness was with another fellow driving north just a couple of kilometers south of Granisle, B.C. (their exact location when they viewed the craft was at Topley Landing).

The two large forest companies here in Houston have a barge which runs back and forth across Babine Lake carrying logging trucks. The old Bell Copper mine is directly across the lake from the witnesses position. An approximate guess would be a 3/4 to 1 mile between the craft and the witnesses.

The officers observed a large glowing orange/gold almost saucer shaped (oval?) object hovering right over top the old Bell Copper mine. They said it was very low to the ground. At this point they pulled over to have a look and to try to figure out what they were seeing.

As they watched the object hover, it would rise up very slowly and come to a complete stop, move sideways then stop and drop down roughly the same height from the ground when the witnesses first saw it. Brian Vike Note: I asked if they witnessed any type of light coming from the object, meaning a downwards beam of light.

They both told me no, no lights were seen coming from the object. They did say that it almost looked as if every time the object moved to another position and dropped back down, it seemed to them the light intensity grew from the object while it stayed stationary. At "one" point the object moved out over the lake and stopped for a few seconds, then went back over top the mine once again.

They mentioned they heard no sound at all, but keeping in mind that the two fellows were some distance away from the object when viewing it.

(Brian Vike's Note: I asked them if they could give me an approximate size of this UFO). Their rough estimate was about the size of the Moon (maybe a hair smaller). They also said there were a few other cars and trucks that passed by them at the time, but no one stopped.

But they did say that everyone traveling the highway had to have seen it, you couldn't miss it. They said the area around the object, (ground area) was lit up for some distance. Also due to the brightness of the craft it cast it's reflection on the lake. The men watched this event for approximately 7 minutes before it rose up and left slowly heading north, still at a low altitude and out of their sight.

Than you to the witness for relating their sighting to me.

Pitt Meadows British Columbia RCMP Officer And 20 Others Watch Orange UFO (Video And Photos)

Date: September 18, 2010
Time: 8:30 p.m. until 9:00 p.m.

In response to: http://britishcolumbiaufos.blogspot.com/2010/09/orange-lights-with-green-in-middle-seen.html

I think I'm the neighbor that video taped this sighting as mentioned. I called the control tower 1/2 mile away, they said nothing was detected, however the next afternoon the executive pilot at the airport called me and explained that these orange orbs were CF-18's. Here's the link to YouTube where I posted the videos. I have some still shots too if you're interested. Thanks.

Additional Information:

Here's a short report of what we saw:

The weather was slightly overcast, and there was a small thunderstorm to the north nestled in the mountains . (we're in the Fraser River Valley) Light wind to the west. At 8:30 pm (till 9:00pm) we saw an orange light approach beneath the cloud cover, over the mountains from the north due south.

It came from the horizon to approximately 80 degrees overhead in less than 3 seconds (no vapor trail, completely silent). This was the type of aerial maneuver you see in a Spielberg film. When it came to the 1900 block of (removed) avenue it veered to it's left (moving slowly now) and hung motionless over our apartment.

This orb continued to hang in the sky motionless for 5 minutes, then seemed to blink out and shoot straight up. Five minutes later a second Orb (for lack of a better word) approached from the north at the same rate of speed as the first, stopped, began to move slowly and veered to the left and also sat motionless over our apartment, again for 5 minutes.

It just buzzed the tree-line north of us, so I'm estimating altitude at say 500 feet. It also blinked out and shot straight up out of view. 5 minutes or so after that, we saw two more Orbs approach from the north, same high rate of speed, one trailing the other.

Again as they approached they veered to their left and came into formation above us, one above the other. They also hung motionless above us for five minutes before shooting straight up. The flight path of all 4 objects was exactly the same, completely precise, all stopping in the same spot in the sky.

This would be 1 block north of Ford Road (19071)and Baynes Road (airport road), placing it within Pitt Meadow's airport's airspace. These were solid amber/red balls of energy 30 - 50 feet in diameter, no aviation lights, no flashers, no wings.

Through binoculars they were absolutely spherical and radiating amber/red energy, like looking at the sun through a sun filter. The color was solid and continuous, each orb having an "aura" of light. The light seemed uniquely different, like a light bulb is different from an L.E.D.

No distinguishable fuselage markings or the like. No sound, no vapor trails, no sonic boom. They seemed to be as if alive, they did not seem like craft. They moved with an indescribable grace. There were 20 or so people stopped on 122 avenue watching this, including an RCMP officer. Our cell phones became intermittent, working then not. My camera was also behaving strangely.

The video was shot on my still camera (unfortunately) it's a Kodak Z740 38-380mm lens. I've also taken daytime photo's from the same location I shot the sighting, to provide
some reference .

I phoned the control tower the night of the sighting, and got no response. I did however, receive a strange phone call the next day from a man called (name removed) who claimed to be from Pitt Meadows Airport. He told me what I saw was 4 CF-18 jet fighters. The funny thing was, he told me there was one CF-18 a few minutes, a second, and a few minutes later, 2 in formation on approach to land. Exactly the flight patterns we saw.

Pitt Meadows Airport is light aircraft only. He also tried to sell me that when these aircraft are below 1000 feet, their light beacons merge into one. Please. My apartment is below the flight approach to land at the airport. I've been here 6 years and I've flown out of Pitt Meadows Airport many times with a friend who's a pilot .

I've seen thousands of planes/helicopters and are familiar with most military aircraft/helicopters. I asked him how many CF-18's he'd seen that could hover motionless for 5 minutes at a time.

At that the phone conversation ended.

I thought this was good footage (shot on a tripod to boot !) No one seems to be too interested. Go figure.

Thanks very much.

Cattle Mute RCMP Investigation HBCC UFO Received

Posted: January 21, 2008

September 2001

I have been in contact with CBC Radio News and they have provided the following information.

The area where this took place was between, Fulton and the Chase area in British Columbia. Some horse back riders had found the carcass of the animal (cow) and had contacted the farmer and the RCMP were also contacted. There was only one set of tracks leading to the animal, these tracks were left behind by the farmer as he inspected the dead animal. No other tracks were found around the area, leading in or out. After an inspection of the dead animal, there was "no" blood remaining in the animal, no blood found around the scene what so ever, also I was told there was a rectal core was taken from the animal. The udder was removed, and sexual organs were also missing.

From Constable Lange of the RCMP:

Brian

Here is a copy of the portions of our file that we are able to release to you. It has taken a fair amount of time to conclude this matter. Hopefully this information will prove helpful to your research.

Thank you , Cst. C.D.H. Lange - RCMP

I have now talked to the RCMP investigating officer and I will be faxed their full report in a week or two after they wrap up their investigation. I will post all results from this, and my look into this strange event.

Date: 2001-11-27 - Time: 12:5212:52

CST Lange phoned the Saskatchewan Research Counsel and spoke with Eve Plante at (phone number deleted by HBCC UFO). Plante asked about several contacts of his whether they had any statistics. His contact on the matter with the breed association in Calgary had no records available. His contact at the Saskatchewan Pasture Management like wise had heard of cattle mutilations but had no statistics. Plante's contact at the University of Saskatchewan also had several cases of cattle mutilation reported to them however, the cases turned out to be the work of scavengers eating their way through the soft tissue area of the body.

Date: 2001-12-07 - Time: 16:40

No further information to add to this file. Although it is unknown exactly what has happened, all evidence points towards the work of small scavenger animals.

Richmond RCMP Take Calls On Green Beam Of Light (Case Solved)

Posted: January 5, 2008

Date: May 9, 2005 Time: Approx: 11:15 p.m.

HBCC UFO Research had a telephone call at 11:30 p.m. from the Richmond RCMP asking if I was receiving reports from eyewitnesses of a green beam of light which was putting on a show in the skies above Vancouver and Richmond, B.C.

I informed the RCMP that at this time I had not received any such reports on the beam of light, but would turn my computer back on and check. I had no emails mentioning the lights. Due to it being late and alot of businesses closes for the day, I planned on making some calls today, May 10, 2005 to look into the matter and to hopefully find some answers.

On May 9, 2005 after I had taken the call from a RCMP constable, I thought I would see if the TV news might still be open to take a news story, I called and talked to a really nice lady who informed me that the TV station had not received any reports on green lights or anything else out of the norm. But she did go on to say that on her way into her work place that evening, she did observe the green beam of light which seemed to be in the vicinity of the Vancouver Science World .

So this morning I made my first call to Science World and received the information that solved this case.

I have three audio clips. One from the RCMP, CTV Newsroom and the Vancouver Science World. Also posted is two reports on what it was that caused the event.

*Richmond RCMP receives 5 to 6 calls from witnesses reporting a green beam of light in the skies above Richmond and Vancouver, British Columbia.* Date: May 9, 2005 Time: approx: 11:15 p.m.

Thank you to the Richmond RCMP, Science World and thwe lady from CTV News.

Information on Cruiser and RASCAL - Fact Sheet

CRUISER AND RASCAL DRIVE ACROSS CANADA A MAJOR STUDY ON AIR QUALITY.

What are CRUISER and RASCAL?

CRUISER and RASCAL are not the names of the latest in cartoon super heroes. They are Environment Canada’s mobile-air monitoring laboratories that could be rolling into a town near you. Long, white and boxy, these high-tech mobile homes are measuring air quality in communities across the nation.

The dynamic duo started in Windsor in October 2004 and is now out west on a research expedition that will last several months. They are aiming to improve understanding of the atmospheric chemical behaviour of air pollutants, and identify transborder emissions sources in Canada and the United States.

CRUISER and RASCAL

A diesel truck with more than 140 square feet of lab space, the Canadian Regional and Urban Investigation System for Environmental Research (CRUISER) is equipped with some of the most advanced air-quality measurement systems in the world capable of collecting detailed information on pollutants in the air while moving from place to place. CRUISER will work in tandem with a mobile lab known as the Rapid Acquisition Scanning Aerosol Lidar (RASCAL), which scans atmospheric particle concentrations in three dimensions.

RASCAL, boxy white truck number two, uses a laser beam and a telescope, which allows researchers to see the pollutants in the air.

What makes these two such great partners is that while CRUISER can identify pollutants, RASCAL can see them.

In February 2005, CRUISER and RASCAL completed observations in Windsor and began their trek west, first stopping in Golden, British Columbia, for three weeks before continuing on to Vancouver. Measurement activities in western Canada will run until November 2005. They will help identify and understand hot spots in southern British Columbia to determine sources of the pollution in the stagnation zone over the San Juan and Gulf Islands, and study local and transboundary flows of airborne pollution in the Georgia Basin-Puget Sound area and interior valleys. During this period, both mobile labs will also spend close to a month in central Alberta as part of a larger air quality study, Prairie 2005.

The research doesn’t end there. In spring-summer 2006, CRUISER will tackle the second phase of its eastern study by following up on the information collected this year and will expand geographic coverage to include Sarnia and areas downwind, and increase emphasis on ground-level-ozone measurements.

Cruising for a Reason The research caravan is going across Canada to help identify air pollutants, where they are coming from and which pollutants are most harmful to our health and the health of the environment.

Part of the challenge of pollution control is not only domestic pollution but transboundary pollution. Air pollution does not recognize borders. So, CRUISER and RASCAL will also be looking for pollutants from the United States.

Air pollution is a North American problem that requires solutions from both sides of the border. This transboundary research is part of the Border Air Quality Strategy: a Canada/ United States commitment (which builds on the 1991 Canada-US Air Quality Agreement) to develop new cooperative approaches for the improvement of air quality such as the reduction of smog-causing emissions.

Environment Canada and Health Canada will be evaluating the research results to better understand human exposure levels to particulate matter and ground-level ozone (smog) in areas across Canada, the most significant sources of these pollutants, and the health risks. Researchers will also be looking at related environmental issues such as visibility impairment and acid rain.

The dynamic duo may not be super heroes but the data they collect will help researchers figure out what emissions need to be reduced and where; providing key information needed to help protect the health of Canadians and the environment.
