Unknown Lights Flying Over Port Hope Ontario

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  June 29, 2011 and July 1, 2011

Time:  Evening.

These things still fly over Port Hope. I saw them 2 days ago and another on Canada day. It is not a helicopter and way to low to be a satellite. I’d doubt if it's anything from Trenton, because it's way to public, but there is an F-18 scramble base outside Picton and the U.S is pretty close.

A lot of these sightings seem to happen around Nuclear power and Radio active areas, This area is perfect for sightings in that way. I have never seen them do any crazy maneuvers though If it knocks out cell phones maybe it's some sort of surveillance plane.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Large White Glowing Object Seen Over Port Hope Ontario

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date:  September 2011 (?)

Time:  Approxamtlty 6:00 a.m.

Hi Brian, I saw your blog post regarding Port Hope and thought I would mention an incident from a few weeks back.

I was walking my dog at around 6:00 a.m. at the town park in Port Hope. It was still very dark and the skies were clear revealing many stars. I happened to look up to the north and noticed a rather large, white glowing object/orb moving southeast a steady pace.

At first I thought satellite, but it seemed too low in the atmosphere. There were absolutely no flashing lights and it never changed in any way and there was no noise what so ever. Ironically as I watched I did see a satellite pass behind it, which was much smaller, star like and more distant.

I’ve seen many satellites in my life and the larger object did not fit the bill. I watched the object for about 10 minutes until it passed to the south out of eye sight. It was an interesting experience to say the least.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Low Hovering Orange/Red UFO Over Trinity School Port Hope Ontario

 Date:  May 2017

Time:  From 1:00 a.m. until 4:00 a.m.

I saw this very big orange/reddish light in the sky last night hovering over Trinity school in Port Hope, Ontario. Definitely to big to be a drone, not a helicopter or plane and it was emitting a lot of light.

It was there from 1:00 a.m. until 4:00 a.m. and would disappear every 2 to 5 minutes. During that time small blinking objects would fly and hover in different directions at very different speeds. Then return and to form another large reddish, orange light.

The thing that really bothers me is that it was very low to the ground. I would say that it was only about 10-20 feet over the peeks of Trinity School. When together these lights would reappear slightly move to the left or right. At 4:00 a.m. the small blinking lights all headed towards Lake Ontario and vanished.

I was really spooked. I woke my husband and showed him and video taped as best as I could. It was very weird. Nothing I can explain!

Thank you to the witness for their interesting report.

Large Object And Numerous Smaller Lights Over Port Hope Ontario

Date:  May 10, 2017
Time:  1:15 a.m.

Hello, last night I was awaken by coyotes making a lot of noise at 1:15 a.m. I got out of bed and checked to make sure all my pets were inside. I live in Port Hope, Ontario and on the ravine.

When I returned to bed, I saw a very big reddish yellow light hovering low in the sky, almost over Trinity school.

I immediately thought it was a meteorite because it vanished. Seconds later it reappeared and appeared to be hovering for 2-3 minutes. When it disappeared again I got up and went to the window. I could see other smaller lights blinking and moving and hovering in all directions away from the initial lights.

After a few minutes they would gather again and form one or two big lights in the sky. This went on until almost 4:00 a.m. The lights then headed towards the lake and vanished.

It was too big to be a drone, definitely not a helicopter or plane. I'm not sure what it was, but I did take videos of it, although my videos are not that clear because it was a distance away.

You can clearly see that the lights are brighter than street lights and bigger and vanish and then reappear. I woke my husband and showed him too because I have never seen anything like it. Thanks.

White Silver Colored Boomerang Shaped UFO Seen In The Sky Over Hudson's Hope British Columbia

Date:  October 13, 2012
Time:  12:04 p.m.

Hello Brian, my name is (name removed), I have been given your email from (name removed).

I have known her for a couple years as I date her brother. Anyhow I am now working in Hudson's Hope B.C. 88 km south of Fort. St. John.

On October. 13, 2012, at 12:04 p.m. I was talking with my girlfriend on the phone, while being lazy on the sofa, I was just looking around when I noticed a object in the sky.

It was a clear day, very little cloud and the object was a white silver color boomerang shaped, it was going in a down direction for a couple minutes, very, very slow then stopped at this point.

I noticed it went side ways to the right (west) and dropped down again. For about two minutes then it seemed to pull away until it was out of sight. I did call my daughter to come to the living room and her boyfriend, they watched it as well with me in total awe.

I tried to use my video camera to tape the thingy, but when I tried to watch the video, well my cam does not work, the memory chip is only fuzzy. Now and still to this date can not get the cam to work at all.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Also, please feel free to send in your sightings that have happened years ago. So many of these older sightings are nothing short of amazing.

Silent Glowing Fiery Ball Spotted Flying Over Port Hope Ontario

Date:  July 7, 2012
Time:  Approx: 9:30 p.m.

Hi Brian, I was just reading your blog and was astonished to discover that you saw the same object in the sky as myself and five friends also saw on the evening of Saturday, July 7, at around 9:30 p.m., in Port Hope, Ontario.

Unfortunately, none of us had cameras with us, but it was like a glowing, fiery ball moving silently through the sky in a southeasterly direction. At first we thought it might have been a weather balloon (?) or a Chinese lantern or something, but clearly it was much larger and higher up in the atmosphere than we thought it was.

It had no blinking lights, like a plane would, and made no sound. It looked like there was some kind of flame under or around it.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Witnesses Observe Red Flying Object Over Port Hope Ontario

Date:  July 7, 2012
Time:  9:30 p.m.

I've been trying to leave a message on the blog sight, but I am new to computers so I will now try to e-mail you.

This is in response to your flying giant red fireball blog.

I am from Port Hope, Ontario and was just leaving a card party when 6 of us observed the red object that you described. Our observation lasted about 3 to 4 minutes from the viewpoints of far away to medium distance to directly overhead and then flying away reversing the distances again. If we had, had a camera amongst us, we could have had some of the best shots the world has ever seen of this thing.

But sadly you only have my word on what I observed so here it goes.

As we are leaving the party and saying our goodbyes and giving hugs when someone noticed the weird red light approaching from the north. This would be from the direction of where the city of Peterborough is from us near enough to the direction of HWY 28.

As it got closer the weird red circle turned into a red circular object with 3 tightly grouped pulsing red lights. These red lights were intensely red, not blinking off and on, but pulsing so that they never turned off and just got brighter and then lighter again.

There were comments from, “what the hell is it”, to “wouldn't it be funny if it was a UFO”. Before it got close we had time to make out loud observations. It looks like fire to it and has 3 pulsing lights so if it's a plane, where are its blue and white lights.

There was time to say, “why isn't it making any noise”, does anyone hear any noise coming from it. One called for her husband to come to the window to look. Like I had said we had a lot of time to observe.

As it came directly overhead the pulsing lights reflected onto the circular underbody of the solid craft. It is my conclusion that the fire like look of the object is caused by the intense fading and brightening of the lights reflecting off of a metallic like surface.

From a distance it looks like flames moving, but as we saw it from a great distance a medium distance and from directly overhead. I am satisfied with my conclusion of the fireball affect. Most of the pictures taken that I Googled match the far away look, kind of circular or definitely circular depending on the angle that the photos or filming was taken at.

None were taken from the close up observations that we were lucky enough to see.

From this close up observation we could see that there were no wings, no tail and absolutely no sound whatsoever. Since we saw it's complete traverse, it wasn't followed by that whole sound hasn't caught up to the observer yet thing, i.e. don't hear the plane until it's flown past you.

From our perspective we could not see the top of the craft, just the underside and all of the edges  that were lit up by the intense under lighting of the craft. This is how we concluded the roundness of the object.

As it passed on by us it was heading in a south easterly direction over the waterfront of Lake Ontario heading towards Cobourg as opposed to across the lake towards Rochester. It was travelling at a constant rate of speed in a smooth controlled line.

It arched it's way slowly to the east as if deciding to follow the lakeshore. If it was an unguided Chinese paper lantern for instance, it would have been swinging back and forth at the mercy of the winds etc.  I have seen or Googled Chinese paper lanterns and hot air balloons and weather balloons, all of which have the balloon part of the craft light up from the fire keeping it afloat.

It is bright and unmistakable, remembering that we had the time to see it from many angles and distances.

It was not a moon rise or a planetary rise (Venus, Jupiter or Mars) It was not sprite lightening or marsh gases. It was not a helicopter or the light open aircraft guy that has flown over this town for years. He is very loud and does not fly at night.

I grew up in Hamilton, Ontario and spent my teen aged years sitting on the mountain brow (escarpment actually) , watching the planes fly overhead going to Mount Hope airport. I have seen a lot of strange night time things but I do know the underside of planes, which includes the antique historical planes which Mount Hope airport is famous for.

I am 52 years old and I am not some youngster who has no real life experiences to pull from. I am not some old biddy who doesn't know her backside from an open pit in the ground. I have been brought up with a scientific way of investigating things and am not one to jump to conclusions.

Two Objects/Lights Flying Over Port Hope Ontario

Date:  N/A
Time:  Evening.

I live in Garden Hill and I am constantly watching for things in the sky. I go to Port Hope almost everyday. One evening when I looked up into the sky, to look for UFOs, I instantly saw two of them flying together high above Port Hope.

They weren't very bright and didn't do anything crazy besides move together in unison, like two stars together. I know satellites, and I know planes, these weren't either of those, and these were moving together at the same pace and were quite distinguishable.

I have yet to see one up close though. I look forward to the day actually. Port Hope is a hot spot. They must be monitoring the radioactivity, I also believe that. Keep your eyes open.

Hovering Triangle Over Head Witness At Garden Hill Port Hope Ontario

Date: November 9, 2010
Time: Between 9:45 and 11:50 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Garden Hill "Port Hope Ontario".
Number of witnesses: 3
Number of Objects: 6
Shape of Objects: Triangle.

Full Description of Event/Sighting: Country Lights: As of November 9, 2010, between 9:45pm and 11:50 pm there was strange UFOs in the sky. I was coming home from a movie with my boyfriend, we were in the country side of Port Hope Ontario. We saw a round flickering light in the sky. I said " That is a very bright star". As turning onto my road, I had noticed that this was not a star. Perhaps a plane? No. I followed the light with my eyes for about 2 or 3 minutes watching it slowly hover then disappear.

I then got on my cell and called my parents down the road to come out and confirm what I was seeing. No answer though. I was now in a gully peering up the the sky with an almost triangle shaped object hovering not to far over the tree line above my car. My boyfriend and I both were speechless.

The object had no noise what so ever, It's bright glowing light was not lit up any more and all we could see was almost a disco affect of blue green and a yellow/white lights around the edge on the object. We sat there for about 5 minutes letting it hover over us. I was amazed and I tried to get on my cell phone and contact my parents to come outside again, but I was unable to make any calls.

This is strange because I’ve always been able to make calls with no issue in that area. We drove back to my house and stared out the window for about 1 hour and 45 minutes and threw that time towards the east, my mother my boyfriend and I observed 2 sets of 3 UFOs traveling in a straight line east wards. Right over Port Hope Ontario. I'm thinking to myself, could this be some sort of government experiment? Only because I know the big Trenton air base is east from my house about an hour. If any one else in the area saw anything, please let us know.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Object Filmed Over Port Hope Drive In Cobourg Ontario (Pictures)

Date: July 2010
Time: Evening.

I was at the Port Hope Drive-In in July this year when my girlfriend and I saw it. Only lasted about a minute or two.

It stayed stationary for most of that time, then went slowly to the left and stopped again, then disappeared. It was sort of far off.

It almost looked like a helicopter with a spotlight, but it didn't move like one (and I couldn't see anything attached to the light). Many reasons why it couldn't have been a helicopter. Regardless, a bunch of other people saw it too and got out of their cars to look. My girlfriend snapped these two crappy pictures with her cell phone-camera.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Hope Princeton Highway Mystery

Posted: October 19, 2008

Date: October 15, 2008
Time: Daytime.

Full Description of event/sighting: Hi Brian, I'm not sure exactly what to call this event. It wasn't missing time so much as mixed up time and missing roads!

A couple of days ago, Wednesday October 15th I was on a road trip back to my home town of Oliver in the Okanagan Valley. My two brothers, both retired school teachers, were with me. We left the Tsawwassen ferry terminal near Vancouver shortly after 11 A.M. for what is normally a slightly more than a five hour trip. After driving for about an hour we stopped to get some coffee. Since they wanted Starbucks and I wanted McDonald's coffee it took us a while to find the outlets and get back on the freeway. We chose to go the southern route to the interior via the Hope Princeton Highway. All three of us know that road very well. As children with our parents and later individually as adults (we now are in our 50's and 60's) we have traveled it too many times to count. My brother is a good driver and knows that the Hope Princeton highway is not built for speeding. Although there was not much traffic we did get behind some slow trucks several times. We were not in any hurry so it did not matter.

As the road goes into the mountains from the small town of Hope it becomes mostly two lanes wide with the exception of passing lanes. I was aware of, but not actually looking for, familiar landmarks. At one point I remember wondering when we had passed the area of a big forest fire. Although the area has re-grown it is still easy to identify. I assumed I'd missed it while talking to my brothers. I also realized I'd not seen a particular corner that I was looking for. I was going to show them where I'd almost been hit by a car spinning out of control many years ago. Eventually we reached Manning Park where the road becomes four lanes for the complete length of the park. There are numerous camping and picnic sites in the area. We decided to watch for a pull out area by the river so we could have a picnic lunch. Although we were looking, none of us saw any of the picnic spots and very soon we were out of the park and back on the two lane road.

However I knew that a short distance ahead, down a steep twisting hill and around a corner we would come to a wide flat area right beside the river. I've stopped there many times. It is one of the few wide spots on the road with large gravel parking areas on both sides. The road then goes up a long straight hill. I assumed that is where my brother was going to stop. He didn't. When we went around the corner everything was different. It was not there. We kept driving up and down hills and around corners that confused me. I did not know exactly where we were. I wondered if something was the matter with me! I didn't say anything. Neither did my brothers.

Eventually we came out of the mountains and passed through the town of Princeton and shortly after that we stopped at a picnic site for lunch.

I then asked my brother why he had not stopped beside the river where I'd assumed he would. His answer disturbed yet relieved me. All he said was "It wasn't there. When we went around the corner that whole part was gone" He wasn't scared, but was confused and uneasy. My other brother then commented that he had been watching for the forest fire area but never saw it and all three of us mentioned that we had traveled the four lane road in the park very quickly. It had seemed about half as long as usual and none of us had seen the camping and picnic sites we were looking for.

After the half hour lunch stop we continued on our way. Everything seemed normal for the rest of the trip and eventually we arrived at our destination. But we were at least an hour earlier than we should have been. Considering the speed my brother was driving and the length of time of the two stops, the trip should have taken over five hours or even closer to six. It took just a tiny bit over four hours.

When it came time to go home we went another way.

Just for the record, there was no road work being done in that area and since that is one of the better parts of the road I doubt that they would change it anyway. Plus, even if they made artificial hills and needless corners how would they manage to hide a river in such a narrow valley?

So Brian, you receive a great many accounts of possible missing time. I realize this one is more like disrupted time. It is as if we jumped over at least four sections of the road and never noticed. Any ideas?

Thank you to the witness for their report.

Hope, British Columbia Witness Films Objects

Posted: July 6, 2008

Date: June 29, 2008
Time: 1:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Hope, B.C.
Number of witnesses: 1
Number of objects: 23
Shape of objects: Mostly round.

Full Description of event/sighting: Myself and 3 friends were coming from Vancouver and stopping at Hope for lunch and to take a few pictures. I noticed what I thought was a very small patch of cloud in an otherwise completely blue sky. So I took a few pictures of it and didn't think about it again until I got home. When I cleaned up the image and inverted it there was a total of about 23 objects in the frame other than the Cessna that was at about 700 feet. I took 3 pictures total. Two have both the plane and the objects in the frame.

Hope, British Columbia Frightening Sounds And Sightings

Posted: April 14, 2008

I have grown here in the city all my life, just recently moved here to the Fraser Valley, it's serene and beautiful. Through the years my family and myself have seen strange things not of the normal world. When I was younger, my father and mother brought me to visit an old familiar campsite near Hope, B.C. as a young child we camped out there often every year and would go swimming and fishing near the river, the last night there we found it was condemned one night, we still decided to remain through the rest of the night for some rest. My father and mother slept up front of the car while I laid in the back seat. As we began to fall asleep, we heard the strangest sounds coming near the creek that crossed into the river late that night. It was very loud and very close by.

It was no dog, not a bear or owl, no cougar, no coyote or other familiar animal we know of since we had many encounters with these animals and watched many animal shows through the years and went camping alot, the sound wasn't familiar, it was loud enough to wake up both my parents, we sat quietly to listen, we heard it screaming a couple more times, I was scared and wanted out of there fast as could be, my father told me it will pass on, whatever it was seemed curious enough to come near the car, though we were too scared to look to see, except my father; who I always looked up to and was a strong man, he went out to scare it off, then whatever it was, left.

I will never forget the sounds it made that clear quiet night. I'm still curious what it may have been, as curious to why they have condemned this site even though there had been floods in that area, it still looked the same as it did besides the rocks carried from the waters, there was also an old house that seemed to have just been left as if someone has just got up and left suddenly, it sat right beside the water up a bit on a hill edge, a car or two sat alone beside it as well as the house that contained many furnishings. We dare not touched any of it. It's an unpredictable world. We believe to leave it the way it was found. It seemed odd. That same night while we waited for this creature to pass on, we heard some lady voice singing, not in words, but like a humming sound, in the near distance as if it came from that house or close by the creek, the rest of the area was all forest or river and near a waterfall but not close enough to hear it.

The lady sounded haunting and it drew closer to us as if she was standing right above the creek as she sang louder, and her voice was very echoey like, we also hear wolves yelping close by her as she sang. As it started to get closer towards us, it brought shivers down our backs and creeped us right out!
We got out of there right away fast as the car would get started. It still takes my breathe away if I'm talking about this.

I have seen TV documentaries about the big foot creature that filmed it's noise on the last episode of one. It sounded just like what I heard, I never had a chance to record the TV doc, but I wish I had, since they never filmed again and i grew tired of re-runs, I hoped to see another newer episode, but unfortunately they never did. I'm curious to why?

I have seen strange lights with accompany to another person with me that witnessed the same lights as me one night driving on the number 1 hwy, it was a green light that sat and hovered then floated fast in the sky. We went to see my mom, she said the family seen this too after having a BBQ outside that summer of 1995? I was 19- I'm 32 now and can clearly recall. As a child I would have strange dreams about UFOs trying to follow me, while I stayed with my grandmother, they would chase me around her neighborhood in my dream while I ran to hide to get away from them telling my family that I wasn't lying and proving to them they were real. That age I didn't know what they were and was scared like crazy. Hopefully, it is not anything to afraid of and if these beings from someplace else are just here to help, if they're real. With being a mom myself its hard to explain these things to my children who ask me what UFO's and aliens are and if they are real. I still have no answer for them and wonder if I should be afraid to tell them I believe they are.

Thanks for replying back, take care!

Thank you to the witness for such an interesting story of what has happened.
