Bright Orange/Red Circle Of Light In The Sky Over Yorkton Southeastern Saskatchewan

Date:  May 23, 2014
Time:  Approx: 10:30 p.m.

Good day Mr. Vike, after checking what information of a similar nature was available, I was somewhat surprised to see of a near identical sighting last year in this area. On the night of May 23, 2014, I was sitting behind my house in Yorkton hoping to catch a glimpse of the expected meteor shower we were supposed to be experiencing.

On that front, the night was sadly uneventful, however the object I sighted more than made up for it.

The night was exceptionally clear, thousands of stars visible, and numerous satellites passed over through the course of the night. There was very light breeze, but when planes passed overhead throughout the night the sound they made was clearly audible. Very little background noise.

At approximately 10:30 p.m., I looked up to see a very bright orange/red circle of light. The “object” was low enough to make the circle of light of decent size - although it’s altitude was impossible to gauge.  It was larger than anything else visible by a sizeable factor.

I did not detect any sound whatsoever. It travelled from the SSE to the NNW, pretty much in a straight line, from approximately the 10 o’clock position facing south, until it disappeared over the horizon to the NNW. We are close enough to the edge of town that I can get a reasonably clear view to the horizon.

The light was pulsating slightly, at a fairly high frequency, and the object moved at a very good pace, especially when compared to planes that I saw before and after it’s passing.  On that note, within a minute of the object passing overhead, a plane passed over, travelling almost due west, at a high elevation. I’d be curious to see if they noticed anything, because they would have been in the same vicinity while the object passed.

I’ve seen things in the sky that I couldn’t identify before, the last time being back in the early 80’s in northern Manitoba. This was a real mystery to me, sadly I didn’t have my camera ready, although I kept it with me for the rest of the night set on “video” mode in case the object happened to return.

Thought I should tell someone about this in case there were any other reports from around the region.

Saucer Shaped UFO Hovering 150 Feet From The Ground At Yorkton Saskatchewan

(From Brian Vike’s UFO Files) Posted by Brian Vike.

Date:  Summer of 1962
Time:  2:00 a.m.

Brian Vike Note: If someone happened to see this back in the Summer of 1962 in or around that area, would you let me know please as I will forward the information along to the fellow who sent the report into me.

Brian, Ok, I'll give it to you in a nutshell. The sighting happened at 2:00 a.m. on a clear night in the Summer of 1962 (I was 15).

The 3 of us were parked on the edge of town talking about nothing after cruising around Yorkton, Saskatchewan. None of us drank or did drugs in those days (a lot of guys we knew, did ).

The driver was 16, the other friend was 14. We were sitting in his 57 dodge 4 door (big front windshield) when we noticed an object hovering real high above and a tad to the front/left of us.

All of a sudden it came straight down to a height I estimate would be 150 feet (300 feet away from us on the angle we were watching it, a bit ahead and to the left of straight ahead of us).

No noise was heard at any point during this sighting. It hovered motionless for a approximately a minute, then left horizontally in a speed that was in a instant. All we saw was the blurry fuzz of the Alien Space Craft to determine the direction it went.

The craft was not glowing, but it had 4 dull glowing lights at the bottom. We were scared all the while we watched it. After it left, we reported it to the RCMP in Yorkton in person, which was about 2 miles from where we were parked, and they laughed at us.

Here is a depiction of the Alien Space Craft we saw and the angle we watched it at.

Thanks for your reply! PS, you can use this report any way you want just in case you want to send it to somebody else. I don't mind.

Red/Orange Lights Seen Flying In The Sky Over Yorkton Saskatchewan

Date:  October/November 2012 and again in March 2013
Time:  Evenings.

My name is (name removed). I'm from Yorkton, Saskatchewan Canada. Me and my buddy were cruising around, and we noticed a reddish/orange light just hovering in the west side of the city.

I kept driving and he kept his eyes on it. We followed it to the outskirts of town and by the time we got abit closer, it started to get higher into the sky and before long it vanished.

It wasn't a plane or helicopter as my friend thought it may have been, it was kind of long in width. We don’t even have a major airport.

That would've been the 2nd time I've seen that, as the 1st time I seen it was back in October/November. I told people and they thought I was crazy.

Anyways I Googled what I seen and it brought me to your webpage.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Also, please feel free to send in your sightings that have happened years ago. So many of these older sightings are nothing short of amazing.
