Did Close Encounter Light Up Our Skies?

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Newspaper Article.

Forget Roswell - it seems Strines maybe the new Area 51 after claims a UFO was spotted in the sky on Sunday night. Pub-goers at the Royal Oak on Strines Road were mystified by three red lights in a triangular formation slowly moving across the sky at around 9pm.

The lights were also spotted by residents in Romiley and Marple, who wondered whether they were having a close encounter of the third kind.

Jameson Moon, 39, landlord of the Royal Oak and an aviation enthusiast, immediately consulted his radar and discovered the ‘object’ was not registering.

He said: "One of the customers was outside having a cigarette when he saw the lights and we all went outside to have a look.

"The lights were moving very slowly across the sky and they were some distance apart it eventually moved behind a cloud. There is no way it was a plane and it didn’t show up on my radar.

"I was amazed. I have never seen anything like this before and may never seen anything like it again. I am usually a sceptic but after seeing this I am not sure."

Jameson’s mum Grace added: "Everybody in the pub saw it. I think the whole village saw it and we hadn’t had too much to drink."

Christine Smith, 56, from Romiley, added: "My husband and I saw the lights hovering above Marple. They were there for about 15 minutes then disappeared.

"We live under the flight path and it is normally very busy but I have never seen anything like this before."

Brian Vike director of HBCC UFO Research, based in Canada, explained that recent sightings of lights either on their own or in a group have turned out to be Chinese lanterns.

Mr. Vike said: "The lanterns people release are for some kind of festival, weddings or some other event. Or people just playing around maybe hoping to get some type of excitement over something strange happening, when indeed it is nothing to get excited over."

However, UFO expert Nick Pope, who used to run the British Government’s UFO Project, is not convinced that the explanation lies with lanterns and believes the object could have been a large UFO.

He said: "It’s an intriguing image - something extremely interesting has been captured here. While many recent UFO sightings in the UK have been attributable to Chinese lanterns, I’m not convinced this is the explanation here.

"While it’s possible that three Chinese lanterns might briefly end up in a triangular formation, it’s inconceivable that they’d hold such a pattern constantly.

"It seems a very strange coincidence that three lanterns would be snapped in the shape of a perfect triangle. This raises the intriguing possibility that what we’re looking at here is the underside of a triangular-shaped UFO, with lights at each corner. If this is the case, the object is massive.

"The fact that the three lights held the pattern makes it highly likely that we’re dealing with lights on the underside of a single object, as opposed to three separate objects.

"That the object disappeared behing cloud suggests it was vast, as one would expect the cloud base to be at a height of several thousand feet.

"When working at the Ministry of Defence I investigated many sightings of such triangular-shaped craft."

Spate Of UFOs Sighted In Northern B.C. Skies

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Newspaper Article.

Prince Rupert

Canadian Press.

Published August 17, 2002

Brian Vike is not about to point to little green men, but he says something strange is happening in the skies of northern B.C.

Mr. Vike, a "ufologist" and editor of the paranormal magazine Canadian Communicator, is mystified by the largest number of airborne-phenomena reports he has seen.

Since Feb. 1, Mr. Vike has received 73 reports of strange lights and objects in the sky over the region. That compares to five or six reports at the same time last year.

Now he is hearing about sightings over the north coast, and wants to hear from Prince Rupert, B.C., residents who think they have had a close encounter.

"Things like real bright lights doing real strange things," he said. "If you look up in the sky and see a bunch of stars, and all of a sudden five points of light start moving together, then disappear -- that's not a satellite."

Of the 73 sightings, Mr. Vike said five can be explained as planets and shooting stars. The rest evade easy answers, such as the case of three women travelling from Smithers, B.C., to Houston, B.C., who encountered a "huge craft."

"It descended through the cloud cover, went towards them at about tree-top level and went right over their car," Mr. Vike said.

"I interviewed them, and they were just freaked. . . . The thing is, people want some answers for what they're seeing."

Mr. Vike guesses that the spate of unexplainable events may be linked to military activity in the area.

"One report we got from nine witnesses in several locations on July 29 was of a white [and]yellow object as big as a school bus that was seen below the horizon, going into the valley.

"Some of my contacts in the Department of National Defence haven't written back to me lately, which is unusual."

Mr. Vike said he has unconfirmed reports from Telkwa, B.C., and Houston of military vehicles travelling the back roads.

Trail Of Electric Blue Light In The Skies Over The Skeena River Terrace British Columbia

Date:  January 1968
Time:  Early evening.

I always remember a trail of electric blue light in the skies over the Skeena River early evening at the end of January 1968. If I remember the year and month right.

We drove someone outside of Terrace to catch a ride to Vancouver. Years later about 2010 or after I read a mention of it in the province (I think ) newspaper.

In an article written by Wasserman, he referred to an incident same time and date, I saw the bright travelling light.

I've often thought about it, and have no other explanation for it, but wondered if others saw it.

Then I read that article and realized it had been witnessed by others.

Thank you for reading this.

If anyone has had a UFO/UFOs sighting, please send me an email at sighting@telus.net or fill out the online UFO report form at http://sightings1.yolasite.com/ with details of what you saw.

Please remember to include the date and time and location. (Town/City – State or Province) and as much detail as possible.

Vike Factor Note: I do receive sighting reports from all over the world, and I post all of the reports I receive here: http://the-v-factor-paranormal.blogspot.com/

Unknown Unusual Maneuvering UFOs Seen Flying In The Skies Over Abbotsford British Columbia (Abbotsford Airport Tower Control Says No Aircraft In The Sky)

Date:  January 16, 2013
Time:  Evening.

Hi Brian, I am very hesitant about sending this message, but I am compelled to. About half an hour ago, I saw a bright, blinking red, white, and blue light in the sky.

It is camouflaged by the stars and if you were not looking carefully you would think it is a star.

How do I know it was not? Because it dropped faster than a plane or star would and then it stopped and made a right angle turn. Using binoculars only clarifies and confirms the colors.

I have seen an object like this several nights ago under the same circumstances. How do I know this is not a star? Because I am looking through my living room window.

With the blinds open, I use them to gauge the movement.

Dropping four blinds in less than a blink of an eye verifies it is not a plane or star. What it is, I don’t know.

In the previous paragraph I acknowledge seeing this object twice, but there have been more times, several since I moved to this present location.

However, when I lived on the east side of Abbotsford in 2007 I witnessed something that can only be described as amazing!

From about 9:00 p.m. to 11:30 p.m. (this is the time when I first looked out the window while doing dishes until the time I just simply got tired of video-taping) I witnessed several four or five bright, blinking red, white, and blue light in the night sky.

They moved so fast I was running from kitchen to living room to the window downstairs as the objects were moving in all directions. This was not a plane nor a star.

They were doing maneuvers such as dropping straight down, then making a right angle, then a left angle, etc. No falling star, balloon, nor plane can do what these objects were doing.

I was so concerned, I even called the Abbotsford Airport Tower Control to inquire.

They said there was no plane in the skies over Abbotsford. I explained what I was seeing and he asked if I wanted to report it to the Tower Manager (not sure if he said “Manager”as his Superior’s title).

Worrying about what others might think, I said No, and hung up the phone.

There is something going on, definitely!

You can see these lights fairly regularly. But, as I have noticed, there are planes flying crisscross in the skies spraying and leaving Chemtrails. Are you familiar with these?

I wrote a letter to the Editor of the Abby Newspaper regarding this several days ago.
It was not published. But, I would be happy to send you a copy, if you wish.

The skies are rarely clear because of these chemtrails, which leads me to ask, “Are they trying to prevent us from seeing something in the skies?”

These lights can only be seen if the chemtrails have not hazed over the sky.

Look out your window tonight. The skies are clear, I have seen the  bright, blinking red, white, and blue lights.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

Also, please feel free to send in your sightings that have happened years ago. So many of these older sightings are nothing short of amazing.

UFOs In The Skies Over Lachine Quebec

Date:  2011
Time:  Early afternoon.

I had a strange sighting last year, on a a bright Saturday afternoon in Lachine, Quebec. It was early afternoon of a very sunny, but extremely windy day, with the wind directly from the west, buffeting me against the patio doors as a matter of fact.

I happened to glance upwards for some reason and passing overhead, the size of a Canadian fifty-cent piece of old at arm's length, was a circular object heading directly west, steady as can be if it was in the same air strata as I was, and for some reason, I began to count.

In less that eight seconds it was gone into the horizon. It was steady, it was not an aircraft of any sort, nor a balloon of any type, party or weather, but round dirty-looking object of beige with some type of darker areas, and it meant business as it never wavered from its path.

I noted that it seemed to have the effect of swimming through water, the sort of effect one sees as one pulls a toy ball through lake water, say, clear waves being formed at each side.

I tried to find as much information as possible, to rule out other explanations. I came across this and put it in my file: http://greg.org/archive/2009/08/26/the_sa-60_spherical_airship.html

It does make reference to Ontario of course. This object was steady, travelling very, very fast indeed, not turning either. And still a mystery in my mind.  Several years ago, I was walking to the nearby lake and stopped to cross a road, and looked up, to see something very similar up in the sky, stationary and revolving, dirty off-white with black markings that came up again and again.

Once more, this was no balloon of any sort, and I have no idea.  I'd rather find out that these things are man-made actually, but they pose a mystery and no reports were shown in the paper.

Many years ago, rising early to feed a new babe in early December 1977,  I looked out of the window as dawn hastened on, and saw something so extraordinary in the sky, it was as though a massive fuel tanker had exploded in mid-air.

There was no sound, and it was gone in seconds. The red and blackness of  writhing billows filled a large area of sky, and I thought a plane must have blown up.

But there was nothing on the news, no reports from others and I have to add, I do not "see" things - am a rational and sensible person with not a little hint of skepticism in every cell.

Life is interesting of course, when we have these experiences.  It makes us realize that we know little of things we know not!

With sincere wishes.

UFOs Seen Again Over The Skies Of Surrey/Newton British Columbia

Date: July 26, 2010
Time: 11:00 p.m.

I have Goosebumps reading your article. I live in Newton and I think I seen the exact same thing that you (witness) saw. I saw it going south from what I think is White Rock, love to tell you more.

Additional Information:

I too was smoking outside my basement suite and noticed a star shaped and colored object appear out of nowhere. They started moving south from where I live in Surrey/Newton B.C. towards White Rock/U.S. border and was only visible for maybe 3 to 5 seconds.

It was a clear night out and I saw planes flying to the Richmond Airport all day and night, but this was 11:00pm and it was either too high up in the stars or too low to be flying at aircraft level and way faster than anything I have previously seen. This happened Monday July 26th, 2010. I've seen many shooting stars and this was no withering star that's for sure.

If you have seen anything like this in the same area please be kind enough to contact Brian Vike at: sighting@telus.net with the details of your sighting. All personal information is kept confidential.

UFO Streaks Across The Skies Over The Westphal/Preston, Nova Scotia

Posted: November 24, 2008

Date: November 23, 2008
Time: 7:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Skies over the Westphal/Preston area.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Could not tell, it was so bright.

Full Description of event/sighting: I walked outside into my driveway and just happened to look up at the night sky and I saw a light that was moving. It seemed to slow and then all of the sudden it just streaked across the sky and was gone. It was very bright and I couldn't tell what shape it was. At first I thought it may have been a meteor, but it seemed to slow down and then took off very fast almost like a shooting star.

Thank you to the witness for their report.
