Flying Object Could Have Been A Helicopter

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Newspaper Article.

By Neil Horner – Parksville Qualicum Beach News.

Published – March 30, 2012 8:00 a.m.

Mysterious object seen by several more people in Oceanside area.

The report of strange lights in the sky over Parksville last weekend could well have been a helicopter, says UFO researcher Brian Vike, except for one important detail.

The object, seen by two witnesses between 9:30 and 10:10 p.m. on Saturday, March 24 night, made no sound.

“When I originally posted this, a fellow in the area wrote and suggested it might possibly be a helicopter,” Vike said in an interview Tuesday. “He said there is a clearing near there where they take off and land — and the lights sound like normal navigation lights on some sort of aircraft — but what bothers me is them being right beneath it and not hearing anything at all. Helicopters have a very distinctive sound. You can’t miss it. It’s loud.”

The sighting was witnessed by three others in Qualicum Beach, who read about it in The News and subsequently contacted Vike.

“I was surprised to hear that others saw a similar object that my son, husband and I witnessed from our back patio,” said one witness. “It was really large, triangular-shaped, with bright coloured flashing lights and very high up to the right.”

The woman said the object appeared to be just over a mile away and there was no sound of a helicopter audible.

“It was definitely not a helicopter, since the flashing lights were far brighter than the market lights of any helicopter I have ever seen,” she said.

Another witness from Qualicum Beach said the object first appeared at around 7 p.m. over Mount Arrowsmith.

“We too saw strange lights on Saturday night,” the witness said. “We were looking at Mount Arrowsmith and saw lights moving up and down the mountain. They were at different altitudes, separated by what looked like, several hundred feet. We saw white and red lights moving and thought it was very strange.”

Vike said he has no explanation for the Parksville sighting, but he’s hopeful that either other witnesses or someone who knows the origin of the  lights will contact him at houstonbri7@gmail.com

Witnesses Have UFO Close Encounter At Haines Junction Yukon Territory

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date: October 6, 2008

Time: Between 11:00 p.m. - 12:00 a.m.

Location of Sighting: 30 min east of Haines Junction, YT.

Number of witnesses: 2

Number of objects: 4

Shape of objects: Lights, round, disc flying away quickly.

Full Description of event/sighting: My husband and I were pulling off of the road in the Yukon Territory along the Alcan to catch a few hours of sleep, but I wasn't tired yet. I convinced him to watch a few hours of Planet Earth with me until I was sleepy.

Just about when my battery was dead on the laptop, I decided to step out on a beautiful Canadian night and look for the Northern Lights. No such luck. So my husband and I got settled in when we saw lights "pulling-up" behind us.

Me, being the person who has never traveled on the Alcan, was terrified, knowing we were in an area where we can see the lights coming from both directions and these ones "just appeared" behind us. He looked behind us and I soon followed the lights which seemed to "peer" inside the back truck window, then as quickly as they came, they left. I was terrified, so I turned around.

My husband continued to look, shocked as they flew off into the clear night sky, blinking lights, disc like and all! Lets just say, I wasn't a believer, but after that, 25 minutes later I made him get a hotel room at Haines Junction because I was so scared! Good Luck proving this to rest of the world, because now I am a true believer.

Thank you to the witness for the report.

Sasquatch Sightings Have Northern B.C. Town Abuzz

Houston woman 'freaked out' after seeing hairy creature.

Cheryl Chan, The Province

Wednesday, September 24, 2008

Tales of a giant, hairy ape-like creature trampling through the woods are running wild in a northern Interior town after a rash of Sasquatch sightings.

There have been three reported sightings in the area within a month, said Brian Vike, Director of HBCC UFO Research.

"To be honest with you, I don't know what to make of all this," said Vike. "I know with UFOs we're doing well in B.C. but I don't know with the Sasquatch. I'm just trying to figure it out."

One of the sightings was reported by Houston resident Delores Harrie, who was at home on July 28, just after 6 p.m., when her two dogs began barking furiously.

She saw the doorknob rattle, and when she went outside to investigate, she saw a shaggy creature running across the tree line into the bushes:

"It was huge, about seven to eight feet tall, and hairy," said Harrie, 45.

"He had long hair, shaggy, . . . in a pine-beetle colour, totally covered.

"I couldn't believe how fast he moved," she added.

"I can't see it being a grizzly. They run but they don't run on two legs, and I know it's not a moose either."

Harrie reported the incident to Vike, who investigated and recorded some strange markings on the ground.

"Definitely, something had been there," said Vike.

"There's some cow tracks, but this was something else - someone with a good-sized foot."

The other sightings were on Morgan Road in Houston in July on Telkwa Highway Road in Moricetown, about an hour and a half away, on Aug. 27.

There was also a reported Sasquatch encounter in Campbell River on Aug. 31.

Vike said he gets periodic Sasquatch sightings across B.C. and the Pacific Northwest but it hasn't been active - until recently.

Harrie, who was "freaked out" about the encounter, said she's trying to be open-minded about what she saw.

"There's so many things out there I think it would be a little crazy to think we're the only ones here."

U.S. Army Service Personal Have A Unexplained Experience At Crailsheim Germany

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date: May or June 1980 Time: Evening

Message: In May or June of 1980 I was stationed in Crailsheim, Germany. One evening an Army buddy and me where given a ride out to a lake (approxamtlty 6 miles from town). There was suppose to be a large party out there.

When we arrived there were probably thirty or forty people, drinking and smoking hash, around a dying bonfire. My buddy and I had one beer each and decided to leave the lame party, and head back to town.

After walking about two miles we left the small paved road we were on and started across a field with two foot high grass. Soon I realized my buddy wasn't beside me. I started back through the now bent grass, until I came upon my friend laying on his back.

Worried, I ran over and looked down at him. Being from Minnesota, he looked as though he were laying in fresh snow, making snow angels.

At this point I figure someone from the bonfire either slipped him some drugs, or he is playing some, uncharacteristic, game. I'm start getting upset because all I want is to get back to town before the bars close.

I tell him to get up, so we can get back to town. He lays there looking up at me saying " you gotta see this". He says this a few times when I suddenly realize, he's not looking up at me. But rather up past me.

The last thing I remember is turning my head to look up and then slowly spiraling to the ground.

The next thing I remember is waking up walking, and I mean literally, one foot coming down in front of the other on the pavement (walking trail I believe).

At first I was disoriented and didn't know where I was. Soon I got my bearings and realized I was a half mile out of Crailsheim.

I figure it was three miles from the field to where I, I guess came to.

My buddy and I never spoke about that night, actually we very seldom spoke to each other after that night. We both left Germany in early within two months of that night (early July).

I left Germany almost twenty-five years ago. The first twenty-two years I rarely thought of that night, but the last three, almost daily.

The people I have told this story to have tried to explain it as some drug induced, or some sexual experience that has been blocked by my subconscious. I have too much awareness for those explanations.

I'd like to know if there has been any similar stories related to that area of Germany in that time period. Thanks.

Additional Information:

Hi Brian, Thanks for your quick response. I wish I could tell you that I turned and looked up into the belly of the mother ship, or that I saw even a flicker of a light in the night sky. But, unfortunately what I mentioned earlier is all I remember. As far as my buddy at the time, I haven't spoken to him since about two weeks after that night. I would like to also state that I have never, before or after that evening, blacked -out. Which makes what happened twenty-five years ago frustrating as hell.

It's hard for me to articulate the almost emotional numbness, until recently, I've felt towards that evening. When I would tell friends and family about it, they would say that it was very strange, while I would blow it off to maybe being overly tired that night.

There is one more thing that I remember. It's actually a feeling. I felt as though the U.S Army (which if I failed to mention, I served 6 years in) was looking out for me. Almost in an overly protective way. As an example; lets just say there were thing I did in my last two months in Germany I am not proud of.

Let me preface this next part by saying that I was a good soldier. I had planned to be a lifer. The following I have never spoken to anyone about.

One evening about a week after my night in the field, my platoon ( about twenty-five of us) were guarding an ammo site about twenty miles outside Crailsheim. On about the tenth night, of a two weeks assignment, I remember thinking that I had had enough of the Army. There was no big event that drove me to this realization. I had just had enough.( to this day I don't know where that thought came from) I walked out of the barracks, and along with another soldier I had told my plan to, climbed over the fence and left. I spent three days with an on again off again girlfriend.

When I met my platoon back at Crailsheim nothing was said by my platoon Sgt. or company commander. Everyone knew I was AWOL, it was no secret. but none of my superiors would mention it. The soldier I jumped the fence with, was only gone two hours before he went back to the ammo site. He was court marshaled. My last night in Crailsheim, my platoon Sgt came up to me at the NCO club. He said "Someone must really like you". I knew he was talking about the night I left the ammo site. I also know there was something else he wanted to say, but he never said it.

There were also times after that night in the field that I felt I was being watched. But nothing I can point to and say, one night I saw something hiding behind a tree.

Anyways, I came back to the States where I re-enlisted and served three years of honorable service filled with awards and commendations. (I taught basic training in Fort Bliss, Texas) I was suppose to go to Fort Lewis, Wa, but I was reassigned to Texas. Forty miles from White Sands. Hmmm. My life in the military could go on for hundreds of pages, but I wouldn't do that to you.

So thanks for your time. And no, I don't recall any strange experience from my time in, TX and N.M.

Today was the first time I've been to your site. I like it. Keep up the good work.

PS I'm believe firmly that we make our own choices and that no one can makes us do what we don't want, but I'll always feel guilty for the young soldier that climbed that fence with me.

Thank you to the fellow for the interesting story.

Ontario Brothers Have Close Encounter With UFO Above Them And Another In Front Of Their Car Ontario Canada

Brian Vike's Favorite Cases.

Date: Approxamtlty August 29, 1966

Time: Evening

I received a telephone call from a man by the name of Walter. He and his brother ended up having an unforgettable UFO experience in Ontario.

It was late August of 1966 and Walter said this is one of those haunting things that comes up from ones memory from the distant past. Walter said over the years he and his brother have had some discussion over certain aspects of the event. He also noted that the brothers never talked about the experience to anyone for about two or three years after the event took place.

They were quite reticent from openly speaking about it. When the men finally did start talking about it their story came in a fragmented way. Walter mentions that the differences in the brothers story were not actually the event itself, but rather the time sequence.

After the two fellows really dove into what took place, Walter's brother was convinced that they were coming to their summer residence and Walter was convinced they were leaving to go home.

Another important note to this is that they wondered if the date of the sighting was correct, but after Walter started checking around finally was able to make contact with the owner of the newspaper for that time period and he was able to recall the event because there were others who were witness to some unusual sightings on that same day.

Two reports were made and no explanation was found for what these witnesses reported. Also folks had reported seeing strange sights in the sky north of a small settlement along Highway 71 going from Corona to Fort Francis, Ontario.

The government dismissed the apparent phenomena as a large release of incandescent swamp gas, the owner of the newspaper told Walter. Walter of course thought this was pretty amazing swamp gas as it retained an ellipsoidal shape and paced the two brothers vehicle for a long distance as they traveled down the highway, plus it could ascend vertically at a tremendous rate of speed. As Walter said, he had a hard time with the swamp gas explanation!

Walter describes what exactly was witnessed:

There is a tourist camp at Caliper Lake which is located approximately seven to eight kilometers south from Nester Falls in northwestern Ontario. Their vehicle had just passed south of Caliper Lake. In the back seat of their car were the family pets they were taking back home.

The men had a large tabby cat by the name of Tiger, and a male bulldog by the name of Eric and last, but not least a nile monitor which was kept in a box as the cat and the monitor didn't get along all that well.

It is roughly 11:00 p.m. at night, the men heading south and they were passing Larson's Camp and noticed the lights still on at the camp. There was no other traffic on the highway at this time. Walter is in the passenger's seat and his brother is driving. Walter dozed off briefly and was awakened by his brother jabbing him telling him how bright it had become around the car.

The witness said there was an intense bright light which lit up the entire area. Walter said it was so bright that they were able to see way off the road and into the forest. Also he turned around to look out the back window of the vehicle and it was lit up as well.

As Walter is looking out the back, he can see the cat is sitting up close to the window very agitated, the dog is on the floor of the car moaning and the nile monitor has it's head out of the box with it's tongue working rapidly. The cat not bothering with it as it was hissing at something else.

Walter turned to his brother and said something had to be over top of the car. The speed at which they were traveling was about 60 miles an hour at that time. Also they had been listening to the radio when it started to get a lot of static. As the fellow told me, at that time of night one would be able to pick up a number of radio stations as the reception is much better than during the daytime hours.

They instantly tried other radio channels and all they heard from the different channels was static. Both men looking at one another in amazement, with a bright light sitting over top of them, the animals acting up in the car and now losing reception on the radio, they wondered what was going on!

Still traveling along the highway with an intense light above them, they were coming to a second hill, when in front of their vehicle, only about 200 to 400 meters away traveling over top the highway was a huge ellipse of white light.

This object in front of them was pacing them and not far off the highway's surface. The men guessed the second object was about 10 to 15 meters off the ground. It seemed that one object was above them and one object was in front of them.

Walter told me they were more curious than anything and sped up to see if they were able to catch up to the object in front of them, but as they did, the ellipse of white light stayed pretty much at the same distance away from their car. No matter how fast they drove, there was an equal distance between the object and vehicle.

Brian Vike's Note: The distance the event took place in was approximately 25 kilometers. The time everything started was at 11:00 p.m. The men came to an intersection/small community called Finland. They came off the high ground, curved around on the highway and dropped down onto a straight stretch in a low lying area which was about a kilometer in distance.

While on the straight stretch the light in front of them ascended vertically at an incredible rate of speed. Walter said if he was to count to four the object had completely vanished from their sight. It went that fast.

As the object in front of them disappeared so did the light above the car. Walter said it just winked out. There may have been a split second between the two objects disappearing. The static on the radio cleared and they were able to pick up the radio stations once again.

Another peculiar thing they found was that they were traveling through Finland at about midnight when they realized that it had just taken them about an hour to travel the 25 kilometers. Like Walter said, they didn't travel less than 80 to 90 kilometers an hour. He said there was a hiatus, something happened in that period of time.

What Walter and his brother find puzzling is the time, (an hour to drive the 25 kilometers) that they have no explanation for.

Where was the missing time?

Walter saw a friend and told her about what had gone on, and how nothing seemed to make sense. She offered to try a regression session with him to see if he was able to recall anything that took place that evening.

He agreed to give this a try as he wanted answers if possible as he said his brother and he have been arguing for years about the absent piece of time and the actual going and coming issue they can't seem to agree on. One brother thought they were on their way home, and the other believes they were traveling in the other direction away from home.

Apparently, through the regression and during this event the brother driving did stop the car. The brothers could not recall this taking place as they always felt they continued traveling the highway and did not stop at any time.

Both men after stopping the vehicle got out and walked off to the right side of the road. They stood looking upwards and observed the light that had been above their car move off and hover above the trees close by.

Walter recalled seeing what appeared to be portholes along the side of the craft. They apparently stood there for a few minutes watching it. Walter also has been trying to encourage his brother to go through regression in hopes of getting some more parts to the puzzle.

So far his brother has been reluctant to go through this procedure. Walter also doesn't recall been taken aboard the craft and it was not brought out in the regression session that this did take place. So another mystery, were the men taken or not ?

The regression took place in 92/93 and I, Brian Vike has telephoned the lady who preformed the regression and she told me that indeed the session did take place. Also Walter and the lady told me an audio tape of the session was recorded and we are trying to find this at this time.

I would also like to add that this gentleman who related this story to me, is a very credible man.

My deepest thanks to Walter for coming forward and telling his story.

Astorvillie, Ontario UFO May Have Bent Trees In The Area

Posted: June 18, 2008

Date: June 17, 2008
Time: Just before midnight.

Location of Sighting: Just behind our house.
Number of witnesses: 2
Number of objects: 1
Shape of objects: Round I think, all we could really see were the lights.

Full Description of event/sighting: Well I really don't know were to start. This is the first time I have ever seen anything like this. My boyfriend works on Airplanes at Voyager air ways, so he know a lot about planes. I was in the kitchen doing something, when I saw one red light and one white light. They were moving so slow and not in control on the object. It came from the right side of the house it was not very high as their was lots of low clouds in the sky. It was going up and down and at very weird times. It didn't leave our sight for some time, as my boyfriend was trying to figure out what it was. I said that is isn't making any noise and we tried to find our video camera and get batteries for it. I just watched this thing as it was all over the back. It would go behind a tree and then reappear again on the other side. My boyfriend now having the camera got in the car and tried to find it as it had moved way out in the field. I could still see the lights but they were further away, my boyfriend called to ask me if I could still see the lights and I said that they were way out their now.

When we hung up the phone the lights were gone. I didn't see them again until my boyfriend pulled in the drive way. I saw them two more times as though they were on the ground, and then nothing. I was sitting on the side of the sink so I could see better and stayed their until 3:00am this morning. If I had to say what shape, it was I would have to say round. The light was like nothing I or my boyfriend have ever seen. I couldn't sleep at all as the light's didn't leave and I was very scared.

When I looked out back today some of the trees are bent back like something had hit them. I'm still a little scared, but I know what I saw. I have never seen a plane that was so low as to be hidden by the trees out back, their is nothing out their. Please tell me what you think. I'm not crazy am I. Thank you for you time and please respond to me.

Thank you to the witnesses report.
