Canadian UFO Sighting Reports - 439 Reported Sightings (Updated)

Posted: February 11, 2008

Brian Vike September 19, 2007

Total number of Canadian reported sightings so far for 2007 is 439 cases. Running Count

Brian Vike, Director of HBCC UFO Research and host of the Vike Report radio show can be reached at 250 845 2180. But please note, this number is to be used only for anyone wanting to file a UFO report or the media if they would like to contact me. Or you can write to me through the HBCC UFO Research website.

Update takes us through until the end of 2007

*HBCC UFO Research* and *UFOINFO* together have received 341 written (and audio) UFO sighting reports from January 1, up until August 27, 2007 and I am sure the total number will climb as we still have four months left in 2007. Not included in the total number of reports is approximately 26 telephone interviews which we done and the reports have not been written up as of yet, these would include sightings from British Columbia, Ontario and Alberta.

Ontario still leads the Canadian provinces with a whopping 192 reported sightings, followed by British Columbia with 136 cases.

Below is a break down on reports received by HBCC UFO Research and UFOINO from January 1, 2007 to August 27, 2007. (Updated)

HBCC UFO Research Note and Update on the total numbers. The numbers below relate to what we have received from January 1, 2007 and the numbers will change throughout 2007, or until the end of this year.

Updates takes us through until the end of 2007

Ontario - 140 - (Updated 192 reported sightings)

British Columbia - 81 - (Updated 136 reported sightings)

Alberta - 27 - (Updated 37 reported sightings)

Nova Scotia - 10 - (Updated 15 reported sightings)

Quebec - 10 - (Updated 13 reported sightings)

Manitoba - 10 - (Updated 20 reported sightings)

Saskatchewan - 7 - (Updated 10 reported sightings)

New Brunswick - 5 - (Updated 9 reported sightings)

Newfoundland - 2 - (Updated 3 reported sightings)

Yukon - 1

Total number of Canadian reported sightings so far for 2007 is 439 cases.

The sightings range from a spectacular meteor event over Ontario back in March of 2007, followed by a wave of unknown craft/objects. Stars and the planet Venus were another cause for some of the reports, the ISS (International Space Station) and Space Shuttle played a roll as well. Also aircraft were reported as being a UFOs. To round things off, there were a few UFO sightings that did turn out to be balloons, but although many sighting were certainly explainable, there were some really amazing cases in which no answers could be found, and I am still looking for a rational explanation for some events.

One of the most amazing UFO events took place over the Kelowna, British Columbia region on July 2, 2007 where numerous eyewitness in different parts of Kelowna saw a cylinder shaped craft, with what looked like fins on it, and on fire, ripped down through the sky and finally hitting the water on Okanagan Lake, British Columbia. The sound was incredibly loud and like a deep bass "womp, womp, womp" sound as it came down. The same object then reappeared from where it hit the lake, rose up and then sat and hovered in the sky. Meanwhile a cone or "possible" triangular shaped craft was stationary a short distance away from the cylinder shaped craft. What took place next dumbfounded all of the people who had watched the event unfold, the two objects started reacting to one another, and the best description given from the witnesses was like looking at tracer fire from automatic weapons, or in other words it was like the two UFOs were shooting at one another. After a short time of exchanging what looked like the two craft were firing on one another, a loud bang was heard and the cone shaped craft was nowhere to be seen. The torpedo shaped object was still hovering in the sky. It started moving from side to side and then a loud sonic boom and it was now gone. Needless to say, some witnesses screamed loudly or when watching had their jaw almost hit the ground from watching such a unusual event unfold in front of their eyes.

A couple of other interesting things happened not long after this UFO battle. A NATO AWAC aircraft did a couple of fly-bys over the Kelowna airport, when Airport Operations Manager James Hall was contacted, he confirmed that the aircraft that flew over the Kelowna airport was indeed a NATO aircraft, a modified Boeing 707 AWAC. Mr. Hall also said that they were not privy to their (military) operations or plans. Numerous unknown helicopters were seen in and around the area, more than the normal helicopter traffic one would see in the area. Also CF-18 fighter jets were video taped leaving the Kelowna airport, but this certainly may or may not have anything to do with the UFO battle over Okanagan Lake. I guess we just keep an open mind to the chain of events and hope for a break in the case.

One of the witnesses did a nice graphic on their computer to illustrate what the UFO event looked like, this can be viewed at: *Kelowna UFO Battle Illustration*

Other amazing cases came in from Ontario and other provinces as well. I would also like to note, the 293 reported sightings came into just *HBCC UFO Research* and *UFOINFO*. There are many other UFO organizations across Canada and in the United States that are receiving Canadian UFO cases. So the total will be much greater for each of the Canadian provinces.

I couldn't even guess how many UFO reports were reported from the United States and other areas of the world. Most sightings do come into us from the United States and we are very happy to receive them, actually some of the best cases are coming from the U.S. and go back numerous years.

Like I always tell folks, no matter when the UFO event took place, please send in your report, either to HBCC UFO Research or UFOINFO as we are here to help where we can, and are extremely interested in what the witness has to say. I also keep harping on an important part of this UFO topic, and that is that the witness who is reporting to us, is that their private/personal information is completely confidential.

Well in the next four months we shall see what other interesting cases come into us. Don't forget to file your sightings, new or old.

Would you like to be a guest on my radio show ? (The Vike Report) If so and have an interesting UFO or Sasquatch story to relate, please drop Brian Vike, Director of HBCC UFO Research a line with the information, please include your telephone number so I can make arrangements for the interview. Please note that HBCC UFO Research does not ever give out anyone's private information to anyone.

UFO Sightings Keep Rolling In From Ontario Canada

Posted: January 28, 2008

Reports from Canada are coming in as usual, but in one province UFO sightings are way up for this time of the year. A massive 73 reported written sightings and a number of telephone interviews places the total for Ontario to a whopping 81 cases as of May 15, 2007 to come into HBCC UFO Research which is located in Houston, British Columbia and UFOINFO located in the United Kingdom.

A number of UFO reports came in during the months of January and February, but it was in March when a flurry of fireball sightings were reported, then an unexpected huge number of cases were received directly after the fireball/meteor event. Witnesses are still writing up, and sending in some amazing cases, such as the recent triangular UFO sighting which just took place in Oshawa, Ontario where multi colored lights were moving around it in all directions and if that wasn't enough of an amazing event, in flew a "massive" triangular craft witnessed by three people who drew up an excellent diagram

Other UFO reports rolled in from Burlington, Toronto, Brockville, Whitby, St. Catharines, Brampton, Ottawa, Uxbridge, Bowmanville, Enterprise, Flesherton, Forest, Mississauga, Sarnia, Hamilton, Thornton, Wellesley, Ancaster, Jordon, Sudbury, Ajax, Bonfield, Newmarket, Grimsby, North Bay, London, Rice Lake, Kitchener, Orangeville, Belleville and Port Colborne and there are other areas as well.

Also many other UFO groups have received sighting reports out of Ontario as well. If one was to add all these into what HBCC UFO Research and UFOINFO has received so far, the total would be much greater. We are only in the middle of May and most UFO sightings are reported in the warmer months. There may be a record number coming out of the province before this year ends. We shall see.

Some of the objects that have been reported are lights, but lights doing some unusual maneuvers. Many triangle sightings, disk shaped craft along with silver round objects staying stationary and then shooting off at an incredible rate of speed. The list goes on!

As for the other provinces here in Canada, from what HBCC UFO Research and UFOINFO have received, it appears one heck of a lot slower than what is taking place in Ontario.

British Columbia sightings number 18, Nova Scotia - 2, Saskatchewan - 1, Quebec - 1, New Brunswick - 1, Alberta - 12, Manitoba 5 and New Foundland - 1.

The question I'm asking myself is why the large numbers of sightings in Ontario? Why has the Ontario media completely ignored what is happening in their own province? There seems to be more questions than answers as to what is happening in the skies over Ontario.

Something I have been so impressed with, and very grateful to many of these witnesses, is that they are willing to take the time with me on the telephone to either gather more details on the UFO experience, or are willing to speak openly with me for the radio show I host on UFOs.

What we would like to request is, if anyone in the province of Ontario has witnessed a UFO event, would you either contact me here at HBCC UFO Research or contact UFOINFO with a detailed report on what was seen.

The same goes for any other province here in Canada, please file your sighting reports. Also if you have experienced a sighting that goes back many years, these sighting reports are just as valuable to us, so please do get them in.

Thank you from Brian Vike - Director of HBCC UFO Research and Mr. John Hayes at UFOINFO.

UFO Flap Over Ontario Canada In March 2007

Posted: January 23, 2008

British Columbia's UFO Researcher Brian Vike, Director of HBCC UFO Research sat listening to a radio show by way of the internet on March 11, 2007 from his home in Houston, B.C., a small town in northern British Columbia Canada.

Mr. Vike thought he would check his http referrals to see what people were searching for on the internet. He was surprised to see the large number of sighting reports coming out of the province of Ontario, where most people were searching for the March 11, 2007 meteor. Believing an amazing light show took place in the province he thought to place a short, quick note to his website requesting that if anyone may have been witness to a meteor sighting over the Ontario province to please get in contact with him at HBCC UFO Research.

It didn't take long before a few sighting reports of a possible meteor event started to arrive in Mr. Vike's email box.

The following day, March 12, 2007 letters came flying in, one after another from different locations in the province of Ontario, and other areas as well. From Michigan, Ohio, Indiana, Illinois and the object was witnessed also from some locations in New York. There was no question as to what folks had been witness to, which was a fireball/meteor. The descriptions on what was seen were roughly the same. Some reports did vary from a round flaming green ball to a very bright red and orange ball with long green tail.

Meteor reports still came in over the following next few days.

What came as a surprise to Vike was the large amount of UFO sightings that was also happening in the province of Ontario. Over a short period of time the cases started rolling in and never stopped, and this over a lot of unusual reports of strange/unexplained UFOs seen by many eyewitnesses in the province.

UFO's were spotted in communities such as Thornton, Forest, Ajax, Jordan, Northern Whitby, Orangeville, Sudbury, Brantford, Ancaster, Desberats and between Oshawa To Ajax just to name a few areas where UFOs were observed from.

Some people who not only witnessed the UFOs, also seemed to have some strange connections with what was taking place in the skies over Ontario. From bizarre dreams to possible abductions/missing time events.

Eyewitnesses were observing either black triangular craft, to triangular craft appearing almost transparent, and some of these objects were huge. UFOs were witnessed, from shiny ball type objects, rectangular craft, to orange lights making some very unusual maneuvers. Chevron shaped craft traveling low, and very slow without making a sound. All of the unexplained sightings had no sound being reported. Some of the objects were witnessed at a low altitude, from approximately 200 feet to 1,000 feet and some were hovering. Disk shaped craft were also seen.

Some of the reported UFO sightings below, the full reports can be viewed at the HBCC UFO Research website. Plus many more reported sightings from Ontario.

Over Whitby/Oshawa, Ontario Black Triangle UFO And Other Objects

Date: March 20, 21, 22, 23, 2007 Time: Approx: 9:15 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 4-6 Number of objects: 1-3 Shape of objects: Triangles.

Full Description of event/sighting: I would just like to say that the sighting on the 20th was already reported by my friend I was with. This is what I saw. I was hanging out at the Oshawa civic and at about 9:15 we were looking at a light that I had seen several times before, just floating in the same spot. It was west of me, some where over Whitby. It then began to rise and then stopped. It hovered there for a few seconds and then disappeared. Then right above where it just was we all saw a weird flashing light that was flashing really fast and with multiple colors. It hovered there moving left and right and would jerk very fast in different directions, but would return to the same spot. This happened several times. Then the jerking stopped and the object began to move towards us. It went from being over Whitby to over our heads in a few seconds. As it got closer I was able to make out some of the finer details. It was defiantly a triangle, it had lights on each point and a series of lights in the center. The outside lights were a constant red but the middle ones where flashing very quickly. As its passed by us I also noticed a yellow light on the back of the craft. There was no sound at all and it was flying low enough that if there was color it would have been easy to see but it was solid black.

Uxbridge, Ontario Long Object With Lights At Each End

Date: March 9, 2007 Time: 10:05 p.m.

Number of witnesses: 2 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Long object with lights at each end.

Full Description of event/sighting: Hi, I never thought I'd ever be writing on a web-site like this but I never thought I would ever see anything like this either.

Friday March 9th, my boyfriend and I were watching TV in the living room when, in the window, we saw this object flying downwards. At first we thought it was a plane heading for the ground. It was flying slow enough for us to look at it for about 10 seconds. It was traveling east-bound but seemed like it was headed for the ground. We couldn't tell exactly what shape it was only that it had two very bright lights on it. It was sort of stick-shaped, I think. My boyfriend thought that one of the lights on it was orange. It definitely wasn't a plane crashing, too slow to be a meteor. The next day there were helicopters flying over my home headed in the direction of where the object seemed to be headed.

Ancaster, Ontario Craft Similar To The Phoenix UFO Sighting

Date: March 13, 2007 Time: Approx: 12:45

Approach Direction: West. Departure Direction: Didn't depart, Object moved east. Witness_Direction: South.

Description: I was backing out of my friends driveway and I noticed something hovering over some houses. My first thought to myself it must be a helicopter, but this object was staying perfectly still and by no signs was struggling. I quickly accelerated and kept my eye on the object. I quickly stopped the car after I noticed I went right through a stop sign. I was on Amberly Boulevard a street in Ancaster and when I stopped my car I looked to my left onto Mealine Crescent. The object was about 3 to 4 stories in the air and about 300 feet away. The object very, very similar to the Phoenix sighting 10 year ago, but there were numerous of red lights and the lights seemed to branch off the craft.

Embrun, Ontario A Shiny Ball (UFO)

Date: March 17, 2007 Time: Daylight sighting.

Approach Direction: Southern, mid- horizon. Departure Direction: South. Witness Direction: South.

Description: I have a soliciting job (I live in Orleans)and on Saturday March 17, 2007 we were selling in Embrun.

I was doing a street alone. And when I was finished my street, I took out my walkie talkie out from my pocket to tell my boss to pick me up because I was done.

While I'm waiting I sit on a snow bank, look up in the sky, I sigh with amusement because the sky was perfectly clear and the sun was covered by a house so it was easy to see.

I look over and see what I think is a plane for a second but then I realize it is not. First of all is was awfully low, there was no noise at all, no smoke coming out from the back of it and there were no wings or tail, just a ball. The weirdest thing is that it was the shiniest thing I ever saw. It was so shiny not even chrome could match up to this. It was as shiny as a mirror, it was pretty small at first but then it was getting a bit bigger. 30 seconds later I see it slowly moving to the right. but then for some reason it moved really slowly beck to the left but it moved down a bit too. After looking at it for about 3 minuets I think in my head " I hope my boss comes soon because I really want him to see this" but about 20 seconds after, that the thing just diapered. I didn't even blink and in a fraction of a second it was gone.

Newmarket, Ontario An Elongated Triangular Craft With Lights

Date: March 23, 2007 Time: 10:40 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Newmarket Number of witnesses: 3 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Chevron, triangular, thin and wafer-like.

Full Description of event/sighting: A group of us were celebrating my brother's 45th birthday. We were at a friend's house. We were in the hot tub and the friend's 21 year old daughter and her boyfriend were standing beside the hot tub talking to us. The daughter looked up in the sky and said, what the heck is that. Her boyfriend looked up and I looked up. It was hard to distinguish against the sky, looked almost like the starry sky itself, but there was a shadow around the object that made it look perhaps like an elongated triangle. There were 3 lights on it, that looked like stars. It was hard to tell how high it was in the sky. It was not a jet as there were no flashing lights, it was not a small plane because it made no noise. And it moved very smoothly and quickly across the sky for about 3-4 seconds before blending into the sky, or folding up and disappearing. Long before it finished the arc it would have made across the night sky. All three of us described the object the same way. We all saw it though the others were talking and didn't look up. I was the designated driver so not drinking and the other two had just returned home and had not been drinking either.

Between Oshawa To Ajax, Ontario A Large Orange Flickering Light

Date: March 23, 2007 Time: Approx: 9:10 p.m.

Hi Brian, something's happening here between Oshawa to Ajax.Last night, on Friday, March 23,2007, at near 9:10pm. I noticed a large, round orange flickering light between Whitby and Ajax (10 Km) between townships. While traveling westward on Hwy 401 near Brock Street. This object in description appeared like a intensity of a orange flicking "flame". This light appeared stationary south of the hwy 401, with clear skies. My curiosity peaked, when after 5 minutes still watching and driving closer to the west, 3 kms west of Brock, it just faded out and gone.

Ancaster, Ontario Chevron Shaped Craft

Location of Sighting: Over house on Melanie, Ancaster. Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: A line of lights on an angle, chevron in appearance.

Full Description of event/sighting: First thing I would like to say is that I was really shaken by what I saw during the early morning of March 13, 2007. This is my birthday. I had just dropped off a friend and was on my way home driving on a street called Amberly. I went to stop at a stop sign on Amberly at Melanie. I looked to my left to notice a huge triangular object approx. 240 feet away from me sitting still over a house. The UFO was larger than the house. Several lights were noted on the object and all were appearing to be a reddish colour. My car radio went silent. It was as though the object was staring me down. It looked as though it was starting to come toward me. It suddenly moved rapidly up and down, then quickly out of sight. This was not a jet nor helicopter.

Orangeville, Ontario Triangular Craft (UFO)

Date: March 15, 2007 Time: 7:16 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Orangeville Ontario. Number of witnesses: 1 Number of objects: 2 Shape of objects: Triangular.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was in the backseat of the car with my best friend. Her mom was taking us out to Eastside Mario's for dinner. We left her house around 7:00pm. We then we're driving there, it was dusk out. Around 7:15pm and I looked outside at the sky, and I saw this weird light following the car. It was pretty high up there, but It was visible. My friend had her camera on her. I grabbed it and I didn't say anything and I started taking pictures from the back seat. I rolled my window down and took about 8 pictures before It went away.

Whitby - Ajax, Ontario Triangular Object Travels Straight Up In A Zig Zag Moment

Date: March 20 2007 Time: 9:15 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Over Whitby - Ajax, Ontario. Number of witnesses: 3 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Triangular.

Full Description of event/sighting: I was standing in a parking lot with my friends in Oshawa near the Whitby border, we were looking west at a light that seemed to be over Ajax. It was a bright light and it was just sitting there. My friend said, "wouldn't it be crazy if it disappeared?" and as he said this it vanished, then reappeared but higher up than before. Then it started moving straight up and did a quick zig zag pattern. It stopped and went up while zig zagging about 2 or 3 times. Then it started coming straight at us, it went from being over Ajax to right above our heads in about a minute and a half. As it was moving towards us it's shape became more distinct.

Jordan, Ontario Silvery Almost Transparent Disk Shaped Craft

Date: March 18 2007 Time: 4:00 p.m.

Location of Sighting: Near town of Jordan, Ontario. Number of witnesses: 4 Number of objects: 1 Shape of objects: Silvery almost transparent disk shape. Full Description of event/sighting: Viewed March 18, 2007 approximately 16:00.
